Scorpiox Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 "HAHAHAHA. You all speak with little understanding of the Pongcanis. We fight because we can, not for a cause. You also say you've changed. HA! You do not change. Once you've been stripped of your honor, you will be dead. My men at Haddon and my men here died with much honor. They fought to the last breath. We do not mind dying- we live only in killing, and die when we have been killed by a worthy foe. That all there is to life. If I stopped fighting now, that would be a disgrace to my people for years to come. After this battle, my children will be able to wear my bones with honor. I killed many in Haddon, but Eubric has so much weak, it is a true feast." Haldor smirked. "Ah, so you accept death, do you? This will make it a lot easier, at least we won't be going against your wishes as your head rolls around on the floor. And no, I'm afraid there will be no bones for your children left after we are done, I should very much like to furnish them into a chair, or any such object of more worth than your living body. Or maybe I will wear them; so your children can shout 'Hey look! That's the viking that stuck Vonnetate like a pig!' at my passing in the street. I'm ready to kill you now, dog. Quote

OoC Zepher, can you clarify this please? Choosing the right elemental offense is obviously important. I looked back and I didn't see anyone connect a Light attack on these baddies in past battles so I can't tell whether a Diamond would be effective or not. Quote

Zepher Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 OoC: Sorry, will update seriously in a few hours, but want to clarify now. Elemental weaknesses and resistances always confuse me a bit with double types- Light should do double damage (double damage to dark, normal damage to humanoid=double damage). Darkness should be normal damage (no damage to dark, double damage to humanoid=normal damage). I think that's right, and will be how I run it unless I am corrected! Quote

If a hero is immune to Fragile, the effect just never takes place, right? I did not, but now have and it resulted in a damage, so remains the same. I am retracting that note. It was originally a way to sort of get around immunity (the original version of that attack ignored immunity all together, but then I changed it to them being able to weather the hit once, and now I'm getting rid of that clause). Immunity is immunity- sorry for trying to circumvent it. Assume that part of the special doesn't exist, in future rounds it will read like this: Special: Backbreaker – Vonnetate breaks the hero’s back. The hero is fragile until the end of the quest. Cannot be remedied. Quote

That'll give Haldor 3 free turns to Sunder the hell out of him and then status up some of the rest before Vonnetate wakes up. Also note that Vonnetate CAN be sealed. Quote
