The battle begins fiercely, with both sides fighting as hard as they can. Skrall fires off a bolt and Hoke blasts one of the Clerics with a spout of fire. The Cleric bursts into flames and growls fiercely, charging forward, but Dyric drops both him and his friend with well placed bolts to the head. Haldor tries to attack Vonnetate, but the Pongcanis picks him up and slams him into his knee, (a la Bane). Haldor's armor protects him, but he is rattled. Phil slams his hammer into a warrior's face and bloodies it considerable, but a rain of arrows from the above balcony pierce through Skrall, Haldor and Hoke's armors and skins. Atramor mishandles his new weapon and is burns his hands. He drops it with a clatter.

OOC: Just realized that my Round 1 SHIELD should have gained me 300 gold instead of 200, thanks to Sticky Gloves. :wink:

"Sir Cronk, what do you recommend us to do? If even one of us takes time off to heal, we will incur Free Hits, and few of us could handle those--most of us will be Knocked Out if we take damage at all. We also must revive Sir Poletad...we must!" In lieu of a better plan Arthur raises his Healing Staff against himself in the Back Row, unless Cronk orders a different action, in which case he follows orders.

I've been wondering where those sticky gloves went! I keep checking Dyric and Alexis- you cheeky bastard, taking the gold earning equipment for yourself when optimizing the builds. :tongue: I'll add the 100 gold next round!

Skrall does 51 damage, he's Favoring Humanoids.

Atramor swears loudly, dropping the Explosive Staff. He grumbles, kicking the weapon aside, and instead draws Ratsbane, channeling his magic through it to try and heal Skrall from the back row.

"Damn stupid XX....okay, good work Dyric....can ya' take the archers? Phil and Gnash can get those warriors. Hoke, maybe ya' should try and handle Vonnetate so Haldor can get a chance to heal himself...if ya' do, make sure you've got your shield handy."

Nyx lands another solid hit, but it just isn't enough to satisfy her. She turns around just in time to see the brave frog sigh and flop. She roars with anger and runs to crouch near his small body.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, nooooo!" she continues to roar as she gently lifts up the small body and carefully places him in her pocket, the safest place she can think of. She could not stand the idea that someone may step on him until she has an opportunity to raise him.

"Cronk" her voice is low, hoarse and raw like her emotions "they're all stunned right? Is that right? They can't act? We need to bring Poletad back, we have to. Let me do it now, unless you want Thothy to do it while I hit someone with my healing staff? You can still take a free hit from Zee, right?"

Hoke ignites the cleric with a gout of phosphorous flame only to see a bolt's fletching quiver to a still in the cleric's forehead. The distraction cost him dearly as a rain of arrows fell upon him. Haldor picks himself up and forces a laugh at Vonnetate's efforts.

"Ha, wanna' try that one again, bitch? Everyone, leave this walking carpet asleep, now would be a good time to deal with the others."

The nord heals himself with one hand, and casts sleep on Pongcanis Warrior A with the other.

To be clear, no-one should attack Vonnetate. Now he is asleep, we can avoid his free hit and work on the others. WBD, make sure you put me in the Battle Order after whomever is attacking Warrior A, so that the sleep effect is not wasted.

Haldor ammends his strategy to something more defensive. Namely, healing himself up and casting sleep on big ugly Vonnetate instead.

We SHOULD have someone target Zee, though, preferably someone who's not Lucky, since we'll need to trigger her Special several times before the Soulless will die. Shame we have no other means of draining her Ether."

Thothwick, revive Poletad. Arthur, Nyx, heal selves. Alexis, use whip on Masters.

Cronk will heal Alexis from back row.

Hans will bash Apprentice B from back row.

Poletad, once revived will heal Hans from back row.

That will leave Zee with free hit but Cronk will take it.

OoC: Sorry, they should no longer be stunned, that's just me being dumb again. I apologize profusely. :sceptic: I think the strategy still stands as is, but I will allow you time to fix it because of my mistakes. My goal is to run one battle in the entirety of the five Wren quests without a mistake, but my time is running out :blush: .

OoC: Right you are again. It appears I was initially right by accident. I thought it was the next damage/special damage, but you're right in saying that they should still be in effect, barring Apprentice B who technically died and therefore lost the effect. :thumbup:

Cronk is not sure that trying to drain Zee's ether will accomplish much besides damaging friends. Surely it would be faster just to make all minions soulless. Once that is accomplished, the lucky friends may bash Zee at will.

If ether were lower or friends had way to reduce ether besides taking damage, that might be strategy, but that is not case here.

If ether were lower or friends had way to reduce ether besides taking damage, that might be strategy, but that is not case here.

... :facepalm: I get it now, for some reason I thought Zee couldn't be harmed while there were enemies around period. This happened to me in 38, too, if you recall. :laugh:

Agreed. Hopefully, Alexis will take out last apprentice this round and will be able to switch to a more powerful weapon to do so. Masters will probably be last to fall before Zee, especially with B's current health.
