UsernameMDM Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 "As you wish my friends." Hoke removes the Counterstrike gloves and dons the Chains. He steps up to the front row, ready to attack the floor with the Twin Broadswords. Twin Broadswords, Floor, Front Row. (Somebody heal me!) Quote
Flipz Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 "Hmm....I've got another idea, mates. We use Arthur's first idea - that is, he Jinxes one of us with his Healing Staff while another, Lucky ally does the same, except instead of Cronk, we use Haldor. His Blood Rituals will keep all of us in perfect health while draining the life out of the floor at the same time." "Someone will need to hand their Healing Staff over to Haldor--Lady Nyx, would you mind? I need mine to safely Jinx Gnash without harming him." Arthur uses his Healing Staff on the party member in the most danger of being KO'd, but on every third Round, Arthur uses his Healing Staff on Gnash instead, until Gnash is Jinxed. If Gnash is Jinxed, he uses his Healing Staff on Gnash, otherwise he returns to his previous strategy. I may not be online for the rest of the week. Try not to finish the Quest without me! Anyone can control Arthur's battle actions, within reason. Quote

We just need to get on with hitting this thing, which we're going to have to do anyway, no matter what strategy we use. I'm not giving up a turn of causing damage to the floor by giving my healing staff out to someone who doesn't even need it. And Hoke, don't waste a turn changing your equipment. Similarly, Alexis, if you make Hoke lucky and he gets a Spellspin, he'll be knocked out. Cronk, I know this is wearisome, but you need to step up and lead right now. We're looking to you, and if you don't make a damn decision then we're just going to be arguing over a bloody floor until next Grogmas!" Quote

Pandora Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 "Lady Nyx, Atramor's plan is sound. It worked for us against a god, I think it should be good enough to use against a floor." And was that god also draining health and ether every round, necessitating the need to finish this battle quickly rather than drawing it out waiting for various specials to kick in? Nyx wonders to herself how many times she'd have to beat the smug-faced Arthur with her healing staff until either it broke or he did. "Bloody typical, this is. Since I haven't much of a hope in hell to be healing anyone right now, and certain people can't be arsed to hand over their equipment to those who could use it, I'd best just whack the damn thing." "Mind your tongue! It isn't a case of being arsed, the point is more that I am one of the best damage dealers here and my time is far better spent attacking the floor than satisfying the whimsy of a fool." "I know, I know, calling me a fool makes it all seem better, eh? Take note that I never mentioned your name there, miss, but you're welcome to fill in the gaps if that's what you want. You might have noticed that I have neither a tonic nor a whacking staff on my person right now, and so expecting any healing or fancy effects cast is pretty much wishful thinking. I hazard a guess that you also could have seen that I'm the one holding all of the scrolls right now, but lack any ether to utilise them. What do you think, should I use up my chance to hit by passing them on to someone else? Maybe one of you people could take the time to pass me a tonic or such thing, maybe even one of those staves? Or would that be risking your valuable turn, that is worth so much more than any of ours?" Haldor added with a sigh: "Oh, and please just don't evade my words by insulting me again, it isn't going to help anyone." Edited February 25, 2013 by Scorpiox Quote
Flipz Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) And was that god also draining health and ether every round, necessitating the need to finish this battle quickly rather than drawing it out waiting for various specials to kick in? "Yes, because seven damage per round is so much quicker." "And for your information, the battle did force us to fight as fast as we could--Tensi and Sasha were Cursed--losing one more health per round than we are, and without the possibility of healing them through normal means--and if we didn't manage to beat the god without using a Remedy on both of them, we wouldn't have stood a chance." "But go ahead and attack, I'm sure our Lucky dual-striking Mystic Knight won't mind giving up his turn to pass Haldor a useful item." Edited February 25, 2013 by Flipz Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Stop the bickering. Nyx's turn is important as one of party's highest damage dealers. Maybe if Haldor ask Dyric nicely, Dyric can use Grand Tonic on Haldor. That would make more sense right now. Phil can give Pandora a Mead this round. The Legonater Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) Stop the bickering. Agreed, this separation in the party will get us nowhere. Wren strives for chaos, and even in a battle against a floor, she manages to achieve it. Maybe if Haldor ask Dyric nicely, Dyric can use Grand Tonic on Haldor. That would make more sense right now. I nod and use a Grand Tonic on Haldor Edited February 25, 2013 by The Legonater Quote
