Arthur, all of us have had are disagreements. Despite this, however, know that you are a friend - if not a brother - to me. Let us not bicker in this pit, but rather face Wren with one force.

The last vestiges of sight faded from Arthur's vision as the inky blackness consumed his senses, but in the last echoes of the surface world he heard a moment of Dyric's speech. Arthur thought, too, of his other "Brother" in Heroica, a diminutive shade he trusted with his life. It was good to know he had forged another such bond. As Arthur faded away into the dark...

He smiled.

Skrall mixes a remedy with the Pogcanis Brew and Nostrum before downing the lot. Jamming the tricorne back on his head, he shouts to Scheherazade for a length of rope to lower people into the hole with.

"Darned, frog. He's seriously goin' to get himself killed one of these days."

If friend Skrall cannot acquire rope, Cronk suggests that party should go ahead and carefully follow Poletad. (Aiming to land on Arthur if possible. ) Cronk is ready. If Skrall does get rope, friends can climb carefully down.

Last chance for consumables, friends.

"Don't have one of those, myself. I'll figure somethin' out...we've waited long enough."

Atramor pulls on both of his cloaks at the same time, grasping each corner with one hand, and jumping into the abyss in a Batman-esque manner to try and to slow his descent. Whether it was a practical attempt to survive the fall or just to look badass, only he was sure.

Hoke watches the others jump into the hole. He takes a peek in and backs off. He unslings his pack, and digs around a bit for two small bottles.

Hoke consumes the Pongcanis Brew and Remedy.

"Vipera, if Wren is waiting on the other side of this hole, I will need that blessing."

Hoke steps into the hole.

OoC: I wanted to give the 24 hour period for consumables, but I think that's close enough!

Atramor spends two ether to heal Hans and Mallelio, though Mallelio's wounds still remain great.

The heroes all, one way or another, jump into the hole in the ground. Skrall goes last, trying to lower himself using a rope he has found, but as soon as he steps into the darkness his sense go blank and the rope snaps. He is whisked away and sent flying through darkness...

When Skrall returns to his senses, he is standing on solid ground near the other heroes. Ahead of them stands a huge temple that only Thothwick recognizes. It has the same throbbing pulse it had last time- it almost feels alive, like a heart-beat. However, this time the beat is quickly, the flames are higher, and dark is darker and seems to squirm, though the heroes can't fix their eyes to it.

"It is beautiful, in its own way," says Felton, marveling at the great palace of Chaos. "How many changes and growths it must have over seen."

DSCN0090_zps08254c59.jpg

Hans spits on the ground. "We still gotta kill everything inside it."

DSCN0092_zpsebb35789.jpg

"Oh, there is no doubt about that. And what did I tell you about spitting. We are on holy ground." Felton raises an eyebrow and then laughs. "Well, heroes, it has been quite a long journey. Cronk, Thothwick, my oldest friends, from far back in the Arena, we enter yet another pit together. Skrall, mighty Ogre, defender of Haddon- all you great heroes, we will once more strive to control the Chaos of the world... this time at it's very heart."

DSCN0047_zps8979e993.jpg

"Let's not die, Atramor. I want you to visit Dastan again one day."

DSCN0044_zps5edb399a.jpg

"Assuming of course you don't blow up any of our generals this time, as it were."

The party approaches the gates to the temple. There, they are greeted by a minor army. The Chaos Beasts, as always, say nothing. They stand fearsomely. It is clear to enter the Temple, the heroes must kill them.

"Ah, the old Chaos Beasts of yore. The Chaos Beast of Life! One of those beasts we fought in Haddon. This will be easy, heroes. You know how to kill them already. Same tactics, let us begin."

DSCN0139.jpg

<I will save my blessing for when we face Wren, brave Hoke, but will fight by your side once more now! Let them feel our fury!>

OoC: WBD, THIS is the battle that makes you enter the final battle damaged. The floor battle was a freebie! Also, what artifact are you removing in place of your tricorne?

"Never gonna let me live that down, are ya'...?" chuckled Atramor briefly, once the party had landed. He turned his attention to the horde of Chaos Beasts.

"I'm thinkin' our lucky heroes try and take down Life and Death or whatever over there. Other than that..."

He walked forward to the nearest being - Chaos Beast A - and in one motion, swung the Explosive Staff from his back and right at the creature's shrouded head, from the back row.

Zeph - Hoke drank the Pongcanis Brew and Remedy. Should be Encouraged and Inspired. Level should be 21 1/3 and Power should be 42 unless I am missing something.

PL - If Hoke can get lucky and hastened, I think I can do some major damage to the Chaos Beast with a few spellspins especially while wielding the Twin Broadswords. Cronk would be a good choice to lucky too for an Angel.

Diamond, Master A, Back Row.

Right you are! You should also have on the Chains and not the counterstrike gloves because you switched them last battle. It has been fixed!

Since you had the counterstrike gloves on me AFTER the floor battle, I did not say anything. If I was listed with the chains on, I would have changed them after the battle.

I want the gloves on and not the chains.

Haldor steps out from a corner to approach the heroes waiting at the gate. The chaos beasts were amassing, but he was full of confidence to face the creatures once again. There was very little left that could cause him worry, especially not Wren's monsters following at her heel.

"Glad to see you join us here, lovely little place that this is. I'll take the Beast of Death twice, from the front row. Let's see how quickly we can get this done. With me, heroes!"

The nord lets loose a deep battle cry and charges towards his foe, weapon in hand, eyes aflame.

Posted

Also, the Chaos Beast of Life is dropping Phoenix Downs. Didn't the same thing happen the first time they were fought in Haddon?

"Haldor, are ya' tryin' to kill us? That thing has a good chance of hittin' all of us if ya' get Damaged or Special Damaged, let one of the lucky ones take him..."

Posted

Argh, I hate all of these additional clauses!

Haldor curses quietly, and then shifts his target to Master B from the front row once, and then casting luck on Nyx and Cronk afterwards, with Nyx having priority for the spell.

Welcome to my everyday life. Do we want to use Paralyzing Venom on the Cat O' Nine Tails, or should we save it? Also, I'd appreciate Luck if anyone has the chance.

Wordlessly, Arthur casts Light at Chaos Beast B from the Back Row, through Sir Roderick's Sword. He gestures for the others to move before him, that his attacks would not be wasted.

Skrall is lucky, and can take Beast of Death.

Hans, Bash Beast of Life from front row. Beast of Life special does nothing bad if attacked first in order. Next round, Cronk may let Beast of Life give Cronk free hit.

Other than that, bash at will, friends. But do not allow free hit this round. Pay attention to which Beasts still need targeted.

McColt, Encourage Nyx please.

Vipera, Hoke Lucky, if Vipera can.

Poletad will heal friend with lowest health from back row. If no friend needs healing, Poletad will do nothing from back row.

Phil bash Master A from back row, please. It would be a disservice to Phil to fall when friends are so close to goal.

Gnash please bash Beast F from back row.

Cronk will bash Master B from back row.

Actually, Arthur stunning might be nice for current round in case friends roll damage. Cronk thinks Arthur should go higher on list for this reason. Free hits should not be a real problem this battle if friends stay on feet and Cronk may be able to summon angel for next round.
