Flipz Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Arthur, all of us have had are disagreements. Despite this, however, know that you are a friend - if not a brother - to me. Let us not bicker in this pit, but rather face Wren with one force. The last vestiges of sight faded from Arthur's vision as the inky blackness consumed his senses, but in the last echoes of the surface world he heard a moment of Dyric's speech. Arthur thought, too, of his other "Brother" in Heroica, a diminutive shade he trusted with his life. It was good to know he had forged another such bond. As Arthur faded away into the dark... He smiled. Quote
Masked Builder Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 "I've only got a Nostrum but it's all yours." Alexis smiles and hands Dyric the drink. "Enough delay, see you guys on the other side." And Alexis jumps down the hole in the floor. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I down the Nostrum, though my throat still aches for a Smelling Salt. Quote
Waterbrick Down Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Skrall mixes a remedy with the Pogcanis Brew and Nostrum before downing the lot. Jamming the tricorne back on his head, he shouts to Scheherazade for a length of rope to lower people into the hole with. "Darned, frog. He's seriously goin' to get himself killed one of these days." Edited February 26, 2013 by Waterbrick Down Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 If friend Skrall cannot acquire rope, Cronk suggests that party should go ahead and carefully follow Poletad. (Aiming to land on Arthur if possible. ) Cronk is ready. If Skrall does get rope, friends can climb carefully down. Last chance for consumables, friends. Quote

CorneliusMurdock Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Cronk is not sure but Cronk will try anyway. Maybe friends should hold bedrolls as cushions in front of friends? Quote
CMP Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 "Don't have one of those, myself. I'll figure somethin' out...we've waited long enough." Atramor pulls on both of his cloaks at the same time, grasping each corner with one hand, and jumping into the abyss in a Batman-esque manner to try and to slow his descent. Whether it was a practical attempt to survive the fall or just to look badass, only he was sure. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Hoke watches the others jump into the hole. He takes a peek in and backs off. He unslings his pack, and digs around a bit for two small bottles. Hoke consumes the Pongcanis Brew and Remedy. "Vipera, if Wren is waiting on the other side of this hole, I will need that blessing." Hoke steps into the hole. Quote
Zepher Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) OoC: I wanted to give the 24 hour period for consumables, but I think that's close enough! Atramor spends two ether to heal Hans and Mallelio, though Mallelio's wounds still remain great. The heroes all, one way or another, jump into the hole in the ground. Skrall goes last, trying to lower himself using a rope he has found, but as soon as he steps into the darkness his sense go blank and the rope snaps. He is whisked away and sent flying through darkness... When Skrall returns to his senses, he is standing on solid ground near the other heroes. Ahead of them stands a huge temple that only Thothwick recognizes. It has the same throbbing pulse it had last time- it almost feels alive, like a heart-beat. However, this time the beat is quickly, the flames are higher, and dark is darker and seems to squirm, though the heroes can't fix their eyes to it. "It is beautiful, in its own way," says Felton, marveling at the great palace of Chaos. "How many changes and growths it must have over seen." Hans spits on the ground. "We still gotta kill everything inside it." "Oh, there is no doubt about that. And what did I tell you about spitting. We are on holy ground." Felton raises an eyebrow and then laughs. "Well, heroes, it has been quite a long journey. Cronk, Thothwick, my oldest friends, from far back in the Arena, we enter yet another pit together. Skrall, mighty Ogre, defender of Haddon- all you great heroes, we will once more strive to control the Chaos of the world... this time at it's very heart." "Let's not die, Atramor. I want you to visit Dastan again one day." "Assuming of course you don't blow up any of our generals this time, as it were." The party approaches the gates to the temple. There, they are greeted by a minor army. The Chaos Beasts, as always, say nothing. They stand fearsomely. It is clear to enter the Temple, the heroes must kill them. "Ah, the old Chaos Beasts of yore. The Chaos Beast of Life! One of those beasts we fought in Haddon. This will be easy, heroes. You know how to kill them already. Same tactics, let us begin." <I will save my blessing for when we face Wren, brave Hoke, but will fight by your side once more now! Let them feel our fury!> OoC: WBD, THIS is the battle that makes you enter the final battle damaged. The floor battle was a freebie! Also, what artifact are you removing in place of your tricorne? UsernameMDM Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 (edited) Zeph - Hoke drank the Pongcanis Brew and Remedy. Should be Encouraged and Inspired.
