Haldor wiped sweat from his brow with the back of his hand. It was all coming to an end now, Wren was backed into a corner, the heroes were protected by Cronk's angel, it was all over for her now. In the midst of the chaos, Haldor thought he could hear a voice in his ear, a woman's voice: "Go on now Haldor, do it for me, do it for us."

"Arrggh! Your reign of terror is at an end, witch. There is nothing more to say, except that I wish it hadn't come to this; if only you'd stayed on our side, then maybe Bennetton, Triad and Bal might still be breathing. You dishonour them by keeping your life."

Nyx is confused a little as Skrall's heavy crossbow appears where her book should be, an event that might well have squished her if not for her barbaric blood. Instead she hefts it over her shoulder to sit against her back until she can return it. She reaches for her icy staff, cold as if possessed by the spirits of the dead, but reasonably stout enough to wallop with.

Nyx holds Zee's Standard firm, and casts a Light spell at the Chaos Beast of Life B from the back row.

Guys - if we keep attacking the Chaos Beasts, it's not going to get Wren (unless, for some of us, we roll a Shield). Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a dedicated few attack Wren each round?

I know, but Arthur doesn't do much damage anyway, and he can't take the hit. The only reason I'm not using the Healing Staff on Gnash is because I'm afraid of another weapon swap, and I REALLY want to Jinx Gnash next Round so that Nyx can pass Cronk her Healing Staff (hopefully on that same Round) and Cronk can get 4 rolls per action to get us a Guardian Angel.

The Angel protects Thothwick from the damage from Burned, plus I think you forgot to give Poletad his health from healing. Also, I should gain two health from Ratsbane.

Atramor's grin turned malicious as soon as his dagger landed in a gap between Wren's armor. He twisted the blade and pulled it free, following up with a short, vicious swing at the Chaos Beast of Death from the back row.

Cronk already has a Healing Staff.

I wasn't singling Arthur out. NO ONE in the party can really take a hit or really cause any really damage unless it's a crit, especially since Wren is has a 67% chance of being Encouraged each round. Most of use have at least 1/2 a chance to damage Wren.

Cronk assumes friend Skrall will be favoring Goddesses now. And this round Skrall is lucky even though Wren is not.

Vipera, make Hans Lucky. This one could be important, friend Vipera.

Alexis and Dyric can try to thin herd of Beasts.

Here is dilemma, friends. Wren has free hit this round. Cronk could take it if Cronk were inspired but that is long shot. What do friends think?
