Hello all,

I'm here to inform fellow LEGO fans of an incident that I encountered with a fairly popular channel some of us may know on YouTube. I am talking about "brickshowtv."

On their recent review of the Temple of Light, they are misinforming viewers about a very important factor when it comes to a set: the price. They are stating the set is $60, while the set is $70. Some people may know that these guys are very well-known for their constant mistakes in names of sets, or just being clueless about a set. What bugs me about this is that people (including children) are being told information that is very important. Imagine a child being told this information, saving up the money, and when they finally go to the store, they see the price is not what their favorite reviewers told them it was. It's all-around just laziness.

Now, when I commented about this, they responded when my comment was attracting attention. Now, I would show you all my comment, but I can't as they deleted the comments. However, I am able to show you their original comment towards me:

"remember the review is of the set, not whether or not every detail of the price is accurate. We post videos so people can see the set and decide if they want it, we do not worry about the price as much as we want to give the best view of the set to those watching. and brickset does not have prices up for awhile after sets are released usually"

They are addressing Brickset because I stated that Brickset is a much more reliable source than Brickipedia IMO. Now, what their comment sounds to me, is that they don't feel that price is a very important factor in a set, as stated they "do not worry about the price". Now, let me ask you my fellow LEGO fans, has price for an object ever been a factor in your purchases at some point? I understand Brick Show does not as they seem to not even look at the price tag when they buy these sets. However, for most people, especially children, price is a very important factor.

Now, what's even more interesting, is a few months ago I asked them a question about their ratings for some Monster Fighters sets. Fortunately, I do have these comments. These can be found on their Ghost Train review.

My comment:

"So you say this is the best MF set (pre-release review), yet it doesn't get the highest ratings? The Mummy got all 9, this should've gotten almost 9.5 for young kids and 9 for the other groups. Shows that you don't really put too much thought into the ratings nowadays : )"

Brickshowtv's response:

"the ratings are based on the price point alot. not many kids can afford this set, but most can the mummy, and thats a great small set that doesnt cost much, and we love the glow in the dark skeleton horse"

Now, doesn't this sound a little different than what they say now? In fact, this sounds the exact opposite from their first comment I quoted. This just proves that they are wrong, they know they messed up, but they won't admit it and won't fix the problem. So what do they do? Delete my criticism and respond with a point that makes no sense (which as I can see, they deleted as well.)

To conclude, these reviewers cannot handle criticism and cannot admit they are not supreme. They don't allow free speech on their channel and I have proven they have very inconsistent beliefs.

Please brickshowtv, if you read this (and I know they have an account here) please explain your points and why you have done these actions to me. : )

I hope you all a happy holiday and hope I have educated you all about these people.

I'll close this as this is clearly not a general discussion topic (you even call it a 'statement'). If you have personal issues with someone, please find a way to contact them directly, but don't use Eurobricks for that purpose. Thank you.
