MarkusOSX Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 (edited) Hi, don´t know if someone already posted these, but maybe some of you haven´t seen the latest detail pics of the Boss Crawler. Greetz Markus Edited April 22, 2013 by MarkusOSX Quote
DLuders Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Oh, it seems that The Lego Group modified their April 9, 2013 Lego Technic Designers Blog entry to include those pictures. EK = Egor Karshiev (rm8). Quote
camaudio Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 why not just make motor shaped boxes to fix the space I will most likely have to do that. Also since I will have this set as display only I wired power to my display shelf connected to a timer. The lights on the model will be connected to that and will come on when it gets dark. Quote
jono rocky Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 :) 5x11 orange panels are very expensive on BL. This modification is cool, but expensive:) u need minimum 6x Uminogs G'day. Havn't had a chance to congratulate you on winning the comp. Well done mate. The look of the blue Boss is pretty cool, My kids love it. I made the truck style "loghead" but only posted pics rendered cause the one I made was all different colours and didn't look appealing. Its good they kept your winch and lights. Cheers Quote

Eigenbroetler Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Have LEGO officially given us a release date? i can only find this: "Driven by our desire to bring you this limited edition model as quickly as possible, we have had to make a lot of very rapid design decisions" And this: "So, finally, it’s time to press the big green ‘Go’ button in our factory and in a few weeks the first trucks will leave our warehouse in Billund carrying a very special cargo! Wherever you are in the world, we hope that this exclusive, limited edition model will give you as much pleasure as it has given us!" a few weeks? Quote
merman Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 License plate looks printed... No sticker... Or just very well photoshopped! Quote
Someonenamedjon Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I think it might just be a sticker there. Quote
Dorino Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I was reading this forum for like 1 year, waiting for "special set" wchich would bring me back to Lego. I guess i found one. I am so happy that we get extra M motor and lights :) Quote
MarkusOSX Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Is this really the licence plate or just the model number ? Quote

hrontos Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Is this really the licence plate or just the model number ? According to Lego blog plate should be printed and individually numbered. So it will be something like EK-00001 to EK-20000. Quote
MarkusOSX Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 thx @hrontos for the info Do you think the licence number will also be on the outside of the box ? Greetz Markus Quote
hrontos Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Do you think the licence number will also be on the outside of the box ? I have no idea what technical possibilities they have (it would make packaging a bit more complicated) and if they even want to show you on the box what is in the box. Quote
rm8 Posted April 26, 2013 Author Posted April 26, 2013 (edited) thx @hrontos for the info Do you think the licence number will also be on the outside of the box ? Greetz Markus I think No, cause it is really hard to syncronize part with print inside the box and print at the box. It is very hard handwork for 20000 pcs. I think that all boxes will be equal, and in each box they put different number plate. Edited April 26, 2013 by rm8 Quote

DLuders Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 The latest timetable was posted on The Lego Group's Facebook page and reported in this Brickset article: "More details about this have emerged on Facebook: Just 20,000 will be made, it will be priced at US$199.99, CA$249.99, £139.99, €179.99, DKK1499, and will be available from August 1st 2013, with pre-orders starting on July 1st." Quote
PsyKater Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Yes, but the preorder is cancelled. So the latest timetable said that the release date is on August 1st. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Do the prize winners get it in July then? Quote
hrontos Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Do the prize winners get it in July then? May be even earlier, I suppose they may ask prize winners to comment the building instructions or whatever. Just to have at least some "user" test to make sure TLG did not overllooked something in such hurry. So receiving in July would be quite late for bug-fixing. Quote
