Hi, don´t know if someone already posted these, but maybe some of you haven´t seen the latest detail pics of the Boss Crawler.

why not just make motor shaped boxes to fix the space :blush:

I will most likely have to do that. Also since I will have this set as display only I wired power to my display shelf connected to a timer. The lights on the model will be connected to that and will come on when it gets dark.

:) 5x11 orange panels are very expensive on BL. This modification is cool, but expensive:) u need minimum 6x Uminogs

G'day. Havn't had a chance to congratulate you on winning the comp. Well done mate. The look of the blue Boss is pretty cool, My kids love it. I made the truck style "loghead" but only posted pics rendered cause the one I made was all different colours and didn't look appealing. Its good they kept your winch and lights. Cheers

Have LEGO officially given us a release date? i can only find this:

"Driven by our desire to bring you this limited edition model as quickly as possible, we have had to make a lot of very rapid design decisions"

And this:

I was reading this forum for like 1 year, waiting for "special set" wchich would bring me back to Lego. I guess i found one.

I am so happy that we get extra M motor and lights :)

Welcome to the forum,hopeful you will b able to get your hands on a set,it could be difficult though as it is a limited edition set.

Is this really the licence plate or just the model number ?

According to Lego blog plate should be printed and individually numbered. So it will be something like EK-00001 to EK-20000.

I have no idea what technical possibilities they have (it would make packaging a bit more complicated) and if they even want to show you on the box what is in the box.

I think No, cause it is really hard to syncronize part with print inside the box and print at the box. It is very hard handwork for 20000 pcs. I think that all boxes will be equal, and in each box they put different number plate.

do you know if LEGO has an exact release date?

Do the prize winners get it in July then?

May be even earlier, I suppose they may ask prize winners to comment the building instructions or whatever. Just to have at least some "user" test to make sure TLG did not overllooked something in such hurry. So receiving in July would be quite late for bug-fixing.

I sure hope we get it soon (I got in the top 100). I have been dying to build it! :laugh:
