jadedomg Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I wonder if we will get numbered cards like the UCS Millennium Falcon! That would actually be really cool. I think the first 10,000 had cards. Quote
legotechnicblue Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 What is the size of power puller tires Quote

rm8 Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 So, Work is in process. I contact with particular designers and we discuss different variants and details: including color scheme, unique colors and unique details, stickers. Some details (i mean colors) will be produced specially for this set. We are google'ing for different real muscle cars to find more variants. I have already received photos of my model, built by TLG. Very unusual thing to receive your MOC photo from someone:) Yes, they improve my model, cause not all elements agree with TLG rules of building. But I hope we minimize this modification. It will be a limited collectors set;) we work hard, and for me it is a very cool experience! Quote
timslegos Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Sounds like a really cool experience. How are the people at Lego treating you? I think I might buy this limited edition set rather than then the original. Tim Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I hope that i am olso, one off the top 100 at the contest and won your amazing Boss, can't wait to build it Quote

rm8 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Any progress made?? Working. Waiting for budget calculation to know our possibilities. Quote
DLuders Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 @ rm8: Are you able to say whether (or not) "The Boss" set is being designed so that it is THE SAME PRICE as the standard 9398 4x4 Crawler set? Quote
CisFran Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I just bought 2 sets of 9398 for EUR 80.00 each. I think that's enough set to build The Boss Quote

CisFran Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 That's probably one too many Very nice price though!! Yup, and I'm keeping the motors, servo and receiver for the Unimog RC. BTW, also got the Unimog for the same price, EUR 80 Quote
Jim Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 BTW, also got the Unimog for the same price, EUR 80 Wow! Where did you shop? Quote
rm8 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 We want to save motorized winch and lights and also new colored details. So, Iam afraid, that price will be higher than 9398. Quote
MarkusOSX Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Yup, and I'm keeping the motors, servo and receiver for the Unimog RC. BTW, also got the Unimog for the same price, EUR 80 Are these new sets ???? Where did you bought them ??? Greetz Markus Quote
CisFran Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Are these new sets ???? Where did you bought them ??? Greetz Markus Sorry for being off-topic but just to answer your questions.. Yes it's brand new in the box units. A local swiss supermarket held a sale of their 2012 and older Technic and Star Wars sets for 50% off. Buy all you can for 8110, 9398, 9397 & 9396 ... Part of my haul yesterday and I'm still thinking of buying more Quote
Jim Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Sorry for the off topic remark, but I need to agree on this one. That's a major catch! I would pay them another visit On topic: looking forward to seeing the final BOSS! Quote
DLuders Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) Be sure to head over to TechnicBRICKS to participate in the poll THERE on "Which Exclusive Color?" rm8's "The BOSS" model should have! "The colors added into the poll are (some of these were used in Technic sets from the past): Bright Pink Dark Azure [i.e., the hue that is halfway between Blue and Cyan] Dark Blue Dark Green Dark Purple Dark Red Dark Tan Dark Turquoise (Teal) - This one seams quite popular among some of you, but it is not in the current LEGO Color Palette. Lavender Magenta Medium Blue Olive Green Purple Reddish Brown Sand Blue Sand Green Tan" Edited February 9, 2013 by DLuders Quote
DLuders Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I don't know about you, but "The Boss" should NOT be in these LEGO Friends-type colors! Quote
