midengineaddict Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 So, I tried the truck this morning. It drove very well for it's massive size for 1 hour... And then the direction fails, too much gear to make 8 wheels steer with 2 servos and the gears was not locked enough and they began to skip... It's a good thing that I was decided to try another concept before this morning... I have 2 choices, improve the concept or start a new project... I choose the second one. Quote
750ACE Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Interesting the 9398 was built pretty good to not allow gears to slip. What gears are slipping for you? Quote
midengineaddict Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 its not a gear in the axle who are slipping, it's a gear in the front of the chassis who take the power from the middle section of the chassis to make the front end steer... its custom made and can be easily fix but the fact is that I have use 16 gear to make my steering system and its to much friction to make it reliable.
