I bought myself 9396 (Helicopter), 9397 (Logging Truck) and 9398 (Crawler) a while back but didn't get time to build them - so I'm considering them Christmas presents to myself and have built 9397 so far at a gentle pace over the last couple of days whilst everyone else gets bored! Already modified it to have twin rear wheels and it looks much better. I'll probably have a go at the crawler tomorrow.

For me, Santa delivered Technic Helicopter 9396 and Crowkiller's Red Vampire. :sweet:

(actually another 8070 and some BL orders that was used for Vampire )

Any place to buy that book in Europe? Or at least ebook?

I bought it through Amazon.de, they have it for a very decent price (18,95€, free shipping). It's definitely worth it !

Ah, and I didn't get any Technic for Christmas, I did however get 4 small City sets which is good enough for me :classic:

I got the 9398 and after the Unimog last year, that was a doddle. I have a bit of money my mum owes me, so going to ask her to repay me in lego. Hoping to get 8043, 9397, 8109 and 8069.

Santa delivered no Lego stuff this year, just mostly camera stuff :classic: .

i all so got camera stuff plus photoshop

8066 and 9391... Hope to get 8069 next week.

+ about 140 used parts from my gfs brother's drawer

and Sariel's book came early.

I've bought 4 sets of Power Puller Wheels : )

I was gifted the 9398 crawler :) I just need to have a day where I can start getting into it. The new motors are the main draw.

Non for me. But I did get some Unimog parts, pneumatic set and wheels, in November to add to my parts collection. Was hoping to get the logging truck but funds did not allow this time. No matter. I don't really need an excuse to buy lego nowadays. I'm looking to purchase some new parts in the coming days. To those who got sets, well done, enjoy and a big hug to those who bought them for you.

I was skiing in the Pocono Mountain area and 2 days before Xmas a listing popped up on ebay for some MISB sets. After talking with the guy he had 28 sets that we made a deal on for less than 25% of their value. He lived only 30 mins from where I was skiing. The hardest part was getting all of our stuff to fit with the new bounty of legos on the way home. I managed to keep every box in PERFECT condition!

The best ones? 5571 (Giant Truck) MISB for 125

and 7191 (StarWars X-Wing UCS) MISB for 150

I got the crawler, but it was kind of a present to myself!

Same here, but I also got the 9393 tractor and 4202 city dump truck from other people. Love the crawler have already made a different body for it.

I actually missed-out my recent purchased of 9391 mini crane for the parts moc on my 9398. But withdrawed the idea for this attachment as the competition is closing. My lifetime partner has been supportive enough to ask me what I wanted for Lego but I rejected her goodwill as I never wanted her to know how much they cost. Yes, she was surprised when she realised how costly 8110 was during one of our visit to Lego store...as usual...

Happy Holidays!

When you grow up and start working, Xmas could be any day of the year :) so lately I bought 9396, 9397, 9398, lego 10213 and a couple of bricklink orders!

All the best for next year!!!!!

Ciao

i need to get finger out and start building the rest of my sets. i tried yesterday to get some tray/boxes in local shops, but could not get my hands on anything decent! :( went in to local shop and only thing they had were those food containers. quite small and 12eu per pop... no way!

No Lego for Christmas. That's what is good in being adult. I buy the sets I want whenever I want (can...)
