I got one last week as I saw it was going to be retiring soon and really didn't want to pay ebay prices for it. The only shop that seemed to have it was John Lewis for £126 which I didn't think was too bad, especially as they are now showing it as out of stock too (and back up to £138, same as Argos - who also never seem to have it in stock)

Just a heads up since its already on sale in LEGO Shop and showing "Retiring Soon" :cry_happy:

Can't do much if its sold out and you can't add it to cart. Odd they would have it on sale and not be able to add to, say a backorder list, so you'd be in line if they some came in stock.

Get one while you can! :classic:

Technic Gearhead finally leaked his color blind  He kept it quite a secret until last week.

(I still think spray pant is involved, since photoshop was early eliminated)

isnt supercar 8070 is going under too? they took it off from lego website too.

Yeah, I think they're done too...Already hitting $200 a set on Ebay..

My Toys R Us still has a few excavators, but they now have the prices jacked up $20 on each one...

Already got 2 of them, 1 new from Amazon.it at 121 euro back in March and another one, 2nd hand this time, in mid summer on ebay.de for about 111 euro.

I think 2nd hand sets are on good prices, specially on ebay.de (germany), you find a good deals over there on all technic sets, if you have patience :) Obviously if you don't live in the EU i think that P&P are a bit "heavy"..

Anyway the set is a MUST HAVE so no matter which way or where, but BUY IT
