Lance Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Pet Shop is nice to me, because the 2 independent buildings allow you to create many different scenarios, you have 2 different appartements, and the colors are nice. Probably my second prefered modular after the Town Hall. I agree. Pet Shop is one of the best modulars IMO, for those reasons. Back on to Palace Cinema, I reckon it will be March 1st it comes out, like Town Hall. Hopefully this will be the case. Quote
nesquik Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I think you'll find February 1st is a more realistic date if the company are choosing to announce the product this Friday. We haven't heard anything at our store, but as a gauge the Horizon Express arrived the day before Christmas Eve and that was released New Years day... I'll let you know when stock comes in. Quote
blueduck37 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I checked Brickset and Lego officially announced the Town Hall last year on February 16, and it was released two weeks later on March 1. If that pattern holds, an announcement this Friday likely does mean a February 1st release for this... let's hope so! Quote
merman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 So no news or announcement yet? Was is supposed to be put on Facebook? Quote
merman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) You know what time it is announced? It is 8.34 pm in Billund Edited January 18, 2013 by merman Quote
GRogall Posted January 18, 2013 Author Posted January 18, 2013 It's being released at Brickfair Alabama at 5p.m so be patient! Quote

merman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) Stickers? Edited January 18, 2013 by merman Quote
ReZourceman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 £120 is ridiculously reasonable. Definitely hitting that. Quote
nesquik Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Yes, they're stickers because the posters are under the 'features' banner. If they were printed, they'd be under the 'hard to find elements' banner. Quote
merman Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That is such a disappointment and the downfall of the series. The series was always sticker-less. Why???? Quote

glendo Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 (edited) im curious to see if we get stung with the standard AUD$300 in Australia. if the set is USD$150, typical lego markup would probably make it AUD$250 down here... mind you, with our currency we could buy it in the US for about USD$145... will be watching closely. if the rip-off occurs, it will be my first Modular set bought online Edited January 18, 2013 by glendo Quote
Jctriguy Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 Anyone know if the front doors look like 1x2x5 trans-clear bricks? If so, that would be a new part and could be very useful for different window options. http://www.flickr.com/photos/brothers-brick/8392691717/sizes/o/in/photostream/ Quote
Savage Oppress Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 this set looks a bit too big to sell because the box will probably not fit on the store shelves at all and this set will not sell at all because of the new popular Legends of Chima theme. P.S. I am a Chima fan Quote

TheLegoDr Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 That is good to know the final numbers. I had a long spiel of how I was upset it was so small for that price tag, but when looking at brickset on the previous modulars it is actually about the same size, so I'm not as upset now. I knew the Pet Shop was smaller, but I thought this was smaller than that. I thought wrong. Otherwise, the set itself looks great and I can't wait to pick one up. Quote

It's a D2C set, so it will probably only be sold through LEGO Brand Stores/S@H. EDIT: Ah yea, I'm a duke now! Edited January 18, 2013 by just2good Quote
