just2good Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Charizard and Greninja are confirmed for Super Smash Bros. 4! I love the introduction of Charizard, as the SSBB "hack" Project M contained a pretty awesome stand alone Charizard. Greninja on the other hand? Eh... Pokemon X was pretty mediocre to me. I would have loved for them to introduce a character from another franchise as opposed another Pokemon character. Quote

I wish it had been Mewtwo or Mew. And I don't think Greninja limits another character being introduced. I mean I liked pokemon X&Y. The graphics are AMAZING. The story, however, pretty much sucked and the post game was awful. There's almost nothing to do. Big let down. Quote

There's almost nothing to do. Big let down. Yeah, I'm also having trouble enjoying myself post-game. The story was annoyingly inconsistant and needed to be more coherant. I was also annoyed by the lack of new Pokemon, only 69? Really? Hopefully this can all be fixed if and when Gen. 6 comes along. And congratulations on 500 posts! Quote
just2good Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Hopefully this can all be fixed if and when Gen. 6 comes along. Pokemon X and Y is Generation VI. I never finished X myself. I became bored halfway through. I didn't know Greninja until today... Quote
Lego Spy Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I never finished X myself. I became bored halfway through. I didn't know Greninja until today... Shocking! I finished the game about two weeks after the original release. I like the addition of Greninja, and Charizard. (Mega Charizard X especially! ) Quote

What was I thinking, I meant Gen. 7 You should give it a go, although this Elite Four was annoyingly easier than previous games. Quote

And yeah there's only one new town to visit post game...so lame. There's the looker side plot which was fun but repetitive. Other than that, nothing except to catch em' all. Quote

The other upside of them being so easy is that I get to rebattle them and raise my Pokemons level up.On another note, does anyone here actually use Pokemon Aimee (is that how it's spelled?). I do and I love it, entertains me while getting my friendship levells higher. I was curious to know since most of my friends don't use it. Quote

I'm about to start my playthrough on Y (I've only played my X version as of yet) and I hope to use it a lot more. I haven't used it much on my first game, although I like it and think it's cool Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 As much as I love charizard I hate that they focus on it so much. I wonder what GRASS starter will be? Meganium could be Hilarious, buy I think they will make Sceptile. Quote
BrickG Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 They don't need a grass started just because they have a Water and Fire one already. Ivysaur and Squirtle also aren't out yet until we get the game and know for sure. Quote

Meganium could be Hilarious, buy I think they will make Sceptile. There may be a grass starter. I personally don't think they're going to include squirtle or Ivysaur. If they wanted to, they would've just kept pokemon trainer. Squirtle was annoying to play as anyway. He'd always waterfall off the edge. Sceptile is too similar to Lucario and Greninja, they're all fast and have similar body structures. I'd say serperior just because he'd be the best, but he's a snake and I'm not sure if they want to put in the effort to have him slither around and such. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a grass starter in Smash Bros 4. I do expect it to be something with a different kind of bodily structure to the Pokemon in this game so far. Serperior would probably be the best choice, but I don't suppose Torterra is out of the question. I wouldn't be surprised if they were also trying to avoid using more than one starter from the same region as each other. Greninja's inclusion isn't surprising; Nintendo were obviously going to capitalise on the popularity of X and Y. I'm disappointed that Mewtwo isn't playable again though. Quote
BrickG Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Confirmed Pokemon: Pikachu Charizard Greninja Lucario Past Pokemon: Pichu Jigglypuff Ivysaur Squirtle Mewtwo Brawl had 6 reps (Pokemon Trainer counts as 3). I doubt they'd have less. I think there's a good possibility they'd have MORE now by at least 1. We need 2 more to match the rep count for the previous game. Judging by history no N64 character has ever been cut. I'd bet Jigglypuff is in. Pichu I wouldn't think is in. He was a clone. Few loved him. Fewer missed him :P. Mewtwo... A lot loved him. But Lucario is VERY similar and basically fulfilling his old role. I wouldn't discount him. Sakurai himself said he might want to add him and his Mega Evolution. I'd say he's got a decent chance but not a great one. Ivysaur and Squirtle. I think people are counting them out too fast. Just because there's no transformations and Charizard was revealed alone doesn't mean they're gone. After all they could be secret characters which is probably why characters like Captain Falcon which has traditionally been an unlock are not shown yet. Luigi was a secret character but Sakurai said he revealed him for the Year of Luigi. These two could easily be secret unlocks. Or they could be gone :P. You never know until release. I don't think "Greninja being a Water Pokemon means no Squirtle means no Bulbasaur" is logic that is based on anything real. If I was a betting man I'd say we'd either get Jigglypuff, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Or Jigglypuff and Mewtwo. Pichu is dead. Jiggs in my mind is almost certain. I also think it's very likely there's at least 7 reps. Quote

Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 The only interesting thing about Ditto are its possible links to Mew/Mewtwo. It may not be interesting, but Ditto is one of the most useful Pokemon in the games. Breeding with Ditto is so simple and requires far less thought than working out egg groups and all that stuff. It's very convenient to have Ditto, though I do admit that its design leaves a lot to be desired. Quote

BrickG Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Ditto can be pretty useful and fun in battle when he has that ability that lets him transform immediately. Also IMO he should be the "Random" in Smash Bros! Quote
Ultron Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I'm not doubting it's a useful pokemon. No doubt the most useful pokemon in the games. But it's just..a blob of jelly with eyes. I'd take over-designed pokemon over another ditto any day. Quote
