Jipay Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Lego2000 has been granted the title of "Regulator" for the MOC forum by the Administration Council. His complete mission will be described in a later post by Hobbes (Giga Admin), but it basically consists of managing the forum, organizing it, and making sure that everything goes to the right place. In order to do so, he will have the standard Regulator powers (already in use in the pirate forum). As he is still fairly new to the forum management world, he will be helped in his task by the Giga Admin team. Quote
Hobbes Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Since EB is growing we have decided that the message boards need some restructuring. Lego2000's promotion to Regulator is the first step. Lego2000 will take care of the MOC forum by updating an index of MOCs that have been posted in the theme forums (except Pirates). He's not a full mod (so don't bother him with questions about it) but has enough powers to keep the MOC forum "tidy". This won't affect where people post MOCs! Everybody can go about posting MOCs as they did now: theme MOCs to the theme forums, "generic" MOCs to the MOC forum. Lego2000 will just update the MOC index in the MOC forum so it can be used as a "starting point" to find MOCs and thus serve its actual purpose. He might also move one or the other topic to a theme forum if he thinks it fits there better. The second step of the restructurement process will be the rearranging of the forums and categories. Don't worry, though, it won't be huge, the forums will all have the same names (more or less), they just might appear in a different order or place. The handling and "overview" are supposed to be easier and clearer. I hope we succeed in that. There won't be hard rules on what to post where, the "free spirit" of EB will not be affected by it. This place will stay the same, just look a bit differently ;-) Quote

Indeed, there is a pirate MOCs forum, but these MOC are not indexed (besides the ships). If the pirate MOCs are not in this "global" index, then they will get less attention than the rest of the MOCs. Thats what's meant by discrimination ;-) Quote

The pirate forum is part of of the forum, but still has its own status, being fully taken care of by Mitser Phes, having its own mods, sub forums and everything. This exists because there is no other big place on the net to discuss lego piracy. Quote
