viracocha Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 In the Christmas holidays we all can find time for our favorite things! My wife jogs and son walks with his dog Toby. Even the ever-serious Mr. Ivanov forgives my son's little antics. And I immerse myself with pleasure in reading adventure books in our village library. Enjoy your holidays! Quote
jimmynick Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 This is a great model, viracocha! It looks like it would fit into the winter village wonderfully. The little details on the building really make this look special: the wind vane, the desk on the upper floor and the bookshelves are all nice touches. I also like the recessed windows behind the tan arches. Quote
soundwave_sw Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Great job! The Library is very well done. Nice building techniques. The bare tree is a nice touch. Good luck! Quote
RedBrick1 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Love it! I really liked the weather vane at the top, nice touch. And the snow only covering part of the roof looks really neat. Quote
sonicstarlight Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 This is really charming! The exterior is great - the roof technique is brilliant. The interiors are possibly even better - that bookshelf is very well done. Quote
Kristel Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 This is a really cute building, just like the Winter Village series. You've done a great job on the interior also. I like how you have done the cutaway at the back. You don't realise from the front how open and accessible the interior is. Very clever! Quote
viracocha Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 Thank you all for the kind comments! This is a really cute building, just like the Winter Village series. You've done a great job on the interior also. I like how you have done the cutaway at the back. You don't realise from the front how open and accessible the interior is. Very clever! I am glad that you have noticed that! The building was made for the playing and my son now intensively use it in his games now! Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Cute MOC, I wish I had a library like that! Quote
greg3 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 A lovely little building... nice work. I especially like the hat/coat rack!! Quote
Emma Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Nice job! It looks really good; I like all the interior details, especially the desk lamp upstairs. And... is that an eavestrough? Awesome! and good luck. Quote

kabel Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 What could be better with all this Christmas stress around one than sitting down in a library and reading! Great entry! Quote
Emma Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 (edited) Thank you for the repluy! Don`t understand what you mean by eavestrough? Oh... I think it might be more commonly called a rain gutter. I thought the piece along the bottom of the roof sort of looks like one. If it isn't, it is a really nice finishing touch to have an edging for the roof. Edited January 4, 2013 by Emma Quote

AlcoEmmen Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Great model! Really like the bookcases, the coatrack, but love the feeling of the tree! Thumbs up for you... Quote
Zed_43 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 That is really nice! The exterior reminds me old village houses we have here in french like post-offices! Like the interior also, you managed to re-create that cosy ambiance-style of a library, especially on ground floor! Maybe you could add more books on 1st floor that looks like between a bedroom, office and library. Great job; congrats! Quote
Commander Turtle Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Very charming use of all the bright colours, just as Lego intended! Quote
