Andy D Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Very nice, I really like the fact that it has 4 walls. I don't care for open back, and I am working on modding my winter village sets to be completely enclosed. Your church looks like it should be in the alps or some mountain area. As for the size, I know from experience that it is hard to make a small church with all the details. Great church, great details! Andy D Quote
treeboy Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Nicely done, as others have said it fits in well with the theme. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Stunning MOC I like the main tower with the tile-bricks! Quote
atxlee Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Great looking MOC. It really does fit into the winter village theme. Quote

It is not easy to fit every detail in a small building and also a church must be seen from far distances. The church will look even more adeqaute in size if LEGO will release such larger village houses like the last one. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 This is a nice entry. Church looks perfect with its clean shape, I like the simple effect and some of the details in red standing out. The interior is nicely done as well. It does look a bit empty without people, but it's after holidays, and I guess they're all at work. Quote
Commander Turtle Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Very nice, I hope you create some of your own minifigs and liven up that first shot a bit. It's a great building, but it feels abandoned! Quote
Righty Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Very nice, I hope you create some of your own minifigs and liven up that first shot a bit. It's a great building, but it feels abandoned! Yes, I see the point so I think I'll take some pictures of a crowded church:) Quote
Priovit70 Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) Great work with the roof... I really love it! And the interior is so detailed! Good look in the contest!! Edited January 17, 2013 by Priovit70 Quote
Brickmamba Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Very nice, really like the exterior, simple clean n effective, I reckon the interior colours could have bee simplified somewhat so it can be easier to read given the scale, all in all well done Quote
Righty Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 For those who asked and gave the idea, I uploaded a photo of the church, taken at the time when people are arriving to it. Seeing the church with people around it looks even nicer from my perspective;) Quote
barahul Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Very nice MOC!!! And definitely a nice fit for the Winter Village. I wish the side view of the snow covered lower roof segments would fit nicer together where they join at the top, so there wouldn't be a bit of a step-shape opening there but there is only so much you can do with the available bricks. Have you considered make the brick list public for this set, and possibly even instructions or some intermediate step of the building so others might be able to add this very beautiful building to their village? Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 That my friend is a really nice MOC. Really like the inside! Keep up the good work! :-) Quote

I second that motion. Would also love to have this in my (winter) Village. If you would be so kind to help us less inventive AFOL's to expand there town with lovely moc's like these. Quote
Hoexbroe Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Ha! Good one to bring this thread up again; Soon it is that time of the year, again. The church is very nice; Fits right in with the style of the official sets... Quote
BrickBloke Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Thanks for sharing, I really like it a lot but I kinda don't get the red trim on the roof? My thoughts too. Garish maybe? Otherwise a fantastic MOC of my favourite theme. I'd be interested in the instructions fo rthis to add to my WV collection. Quote
4everLego Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Very very nice! Add me to the list that would be interested in the instructions! Quote
Andy D Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I also am glad to see this thread back! I am currently working on a new version of my first church to make it fit more in scale with the Winter Village sets. It will most likley still be larger than some of the buildings, but, frequently the church is one of he larger buildings in a community, just not too large. I really like the bell tower, maybe I will encorporate some of the bell tower ideas (no disrespect or stealing intended). The extended sancturary is also nice. Thanks for sharing this. Andy D Quote
kermit Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Nice work. I love the big tower and the details you put in the walls. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Very nice build here my friend, the architectural design is amazing! I would love to see Lego make a Church, maybe with a Wedding going on, for the City line! :D Quote
KringlesBricks Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I really like that bell tower - how you made the dark grey pop out from the light grey to give it some depth and detail...and how it works well with the sloping roofs. I would have gone with different colored windows - but, each to their own We all have our own color schemes we like and incorporate into our designs. Nice work! Quote
KyleJ Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Does this make anyone else feel cozy? For a small church it has a lot of detail, kudos to you, I really like it.. makes me think of Christmas with the red tiles haha. Quote

ThouDanKing Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Hey, I absolutely LOVE your build!!! Seeing as Lego pulled a lame move this year and re-released The Winter Village Toy Shop, Would it be at all possible for you to put instructions up for this gem? I know you probably are too busy to spend your time on that, but this build looks sooooo cool.... I wont claim it was my build. In fact, the whole reason I made a Eurobricks account was to request this. Thanks and have a good day! Quote
aakos12 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Hi, amazing church, very nice! I'm also about to plan one for my WInter Village, I got inspired by an existing building in Spain: I was trying to capture some of its design elements, but not redo it entirely, this is my version: I hope you'll like it, every feedback is highly appreciated since it's not real yet and I can modify it!
