Stash2Sixx Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Great job EBers! Eagerly awaiting next year now. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Very awesome job EB and everyone else that displayed - it never ceases to amaze me the craziness that people think up of... The motorization of the EB layout in particular was really well done, especially the chaining of a single motor! Can't wait/already planning for next year! Quote
Rook Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Would have loved to get on this years group display. I was barely able to finish what I brought, and as it was it was still missing more than I wished. :/ Quote

Scorpio Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Another awesome time at Brickworld. Great to hang out with everyone until the very wee hours of the morning. I am already looking forward to 2014! Quote
Prune Face Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 A link to my photos. Old timey Flickr link for those who prefer. All taken on Saturday after public hours. Quote
Hinckley Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Here are some early photos I took, mostly on Th-F. Congratulations on your Best Large Building win! Well deserved. That is a beautiful building! Quote
Hinckley Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 My Brickworld 2013 Flickr set is still being updated but check it out in the meantime. Quote
RoxYourBlox Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 (edited) Brickworld was a wonderful experience, due in most part to the friendly AFOLs and families I met there. It was a joy fielding questions about the purpose of every nook & cranny in my models. Winning best large building meant a lot to me, not to beat anyone else, but because upon seeing the red brick, my wife's eyes and nose turned pink (and she might have started shedding tears if I'd not immediately started teasing her)... Hers was the kind of the emotional reaction I'd hoped for, since, you know, it will help me continue to have Lego as a hobby and Brickworld as a vacation for the family. I hope to see everyone back next year! Congratulations on your Best Large Building win! Well deserved. That is a beautiful building! Thanks! I loved the Da Vinci Punk, too! There is so much win on the roof of the stadium. It's all such a gorgeous rounded shape. I was immediately angry with myself for not stopping and saying hi this weekend when I saw that you had packed up. Quote
wooootles Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Awesome! Congrats to all the winners, and congratulations to all who participated! :D I was there on last year's event and had a blast---I imagine this year's event had no shortage of fun! Maybe I'll make it again next year Quote

getdamonkey Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 More Dome City Coverage! "Dome" was only said once in the whole video. Quote
Hinckley Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 "Dome" was only said once in the whole video. And I believe it was by Ecclesiastes. Those guys call themselves journalists? They forgot to ignore the MOC cards, and the builders clearly standing nearby, to just sum up the whole thing by one tiny feature and nod a little approval at it and move on. Sheesh, what kind of dog and pony show is this? They didn't even see "I think they've got some really nice techniques in there." And then they actually filmed the whole display and the movement to show what it was all about?? megablocks!! Quote

Better watch your tone Mr. Hinckley, next thing you know they'll read your scathing critique and remove your posterboy status (literally): https://plus.google.com/109667765990682890143/posts (can I have your autograph?) Rook Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Much better review of the build. Wish I would have had time to build something for it. :/ Quote
