Edwin Korstanje Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Best EB members, Everybody a happy new year and to make this year even better than last year a starded a new moc and it's still a WIP. It's a ship from the harbour control from the Port of Rotterdam and is the RPA 15 and is one off the flag ships of them and it's build at the scale 1 to 30 and is in Jack Stone figs size The hull is very complex to build it in studless and also the collors are diffecoult to collect but i have now almost all the parts in stock or coming in the next vieuw days in house Below the waterline is the collor normal blue and then above the waterline is darkblue and the deks are black and the cabine is yellow. Only 6 parts i jused don't axsist in dark blue the dubble bend 1x11.5 and i haved paint it. Overall i hope you will like this project and let you see how i build the hull and the rest off it in staps. Greetings Edwin. Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Wow! You will need a ton of bricks for sure. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) The Hull gets more and more shape And yes it will cost me tons off liftarms and the count meter is already at the 2000 liftarm and to many pins, but lucky it's very strong and have no torsion at all, the other ships i haved build at specialy the Staeldiep has to much torsion and wand that no longer whit this one, thats the reason to build it whit to many liftarms Edited January 7, 2013 by VFracingteam Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) It's not for nothing that mine builders name is VERY FAST RACING TEAM Edited January 7, 2013 by VFracingteam Quote

Lakop Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 That's a lot of parts. But what the heck. Go for it! Can't wait to see the finished model H Quote
hrontos Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) That is huge. With a lot of possibilities to add details at that scale. Once finished it will be another masterpiece for a long term display to public just like your DAF truck. Looking forward to see it grow. Edited January 7, 2013 by hrontos Quote
Gene Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 That's a huge amount of parts you'll be investing! I like what you are planning to build [: )] Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Wow about how long is it? The shiphull is 1 meter long and 28 cm wide. Quote
Boxerlego Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 That is a nice ship. Good luck with the complete studless construction. Oh wait I see two yellow studs. Quote
Brickend Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 The cabin looks studded? I'm very curious as to what made you choose studless for this model? Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 (edited) Today i started to make some wip off the cabine, becouse i wait for the last shipment off parts to finnisht the hull. Last weekend i try to make it in studded, but it's looks very ugly and today i did it again but than in studless and i am a lot more hapy whit the shape off it . Greets Edwin. Lakop Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 You could use studded parts upto a certain point then smooth it off with studless. But it's your project you do it as you see fit. It's looking good so far. Quote
TimH Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Wow!! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished ship. Quote
