Tamamono Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 If "everyone" presents their pieces and it still doesn't make sense, I think those claiming to not have pieces should be put under scrutiny. It's reasonable to assume that not everyone got a piece, but if, for example, one scum didn't get a piece and another did, the scum with the piece would know that it's perfectly fine to claim to have no piece, thus depriving us of being able to solve the puzzle. In other news, I'm having one hell of a hard time with this puzzle. Hinck, you said the pieces go together, yeh? I actually don't see any of them going together... Nevermind, I found how a couple of them go together.

I actually don't see any of them going together... Sorry that you have poor matrix reasoning. I think everyone that has a piece should show it so we can see if JimB is lying or not.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 In other news, I'm having one hell of a hard time with this puzzle. Hinck, you said the pieces go together, yeh? I actually don't see any of them going together... I'm having some transparency issues with it myself. Sloppy. Of course that's probably a problem with the Dell. Hi ho the dairy-o, I hate the stupid Dell.
CMP Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I think everyone that has a piece should show it so we can see if JimB is lying or not. How? That would require every single person to show their pieces, on the chance every single person has them.
Tamamono Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Sorry that you have poor matrix reasoning. I think everyone that has a piece should show it so we can see if JimB is lying or not. And on top of it all, none of the pieces have transparent backgrounds. This is a nightmare to put together.
JimBee Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Sorry that you have poor matrix reasoning. I think everyone that has a piece should show it so we can see if JimB is lying or not. Or maybe def made me the only one without a piece just to watch me burn. That is, if everyone had a piece and decided to show it. In all seriousness, though, I think it would be the most beneficial if everyone showed their pieces. The scum will try and take advantage of this as much as they can by not showing their pieces, and having the advantage of more pieces (if they have pieces, which I would assume they do). The best we can do is to share them out, narrow down who claims to not have a piece, and hope a townie gets the immunity for Night 1. And on top of it all, none of the pieces have transparent backgrounds. This is a nightmare to put together. Magic wand is your friend!
Hinckley Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 How? That would require every single person to show their pieces, on the chance every single person has them. Duh. And on top of it all, none of the pieces have transparent backgrounds. This is a nightmare to put together. Do you not have photoshop or elements? Or Paint?
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Magic wand is your friend! Oh, so now we have to have a decent image editing software program to even figure out the question? It's like def wants me to lose.
Tamamono Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Do you not have photoshop or elements? Or Paint? Whoops, just realized I could make them transparent in GIMP. God, I'm off tonight.
JimBee Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oh, so now we have to have a decent image editing software program to even figure out the question? It's like def wants me to lose. The 96 Dell in the corner has MS Paint, I'm pretty sure.
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 The 96 Dell in the corner has MS Paint, I'm pretty sure. And I'm pretty sure Dave peed all over it already. You might want to see a doctor about that bladder problem, Dave.
Dannylonglegs Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Oh, wow. This is an interesting development. I, myself, do not have a puzzle piece--which means that I am likely starting off somewhat handicapped and unprepared. I find my chances for successfully inning this slip, particularly since I don't have access to good image editing software at the moment. I wish the riddle/question was host controlled like it was in Forest 2. Regardless, I'll attempt to give it a shot. The last person holding a piece will likely win, and the scum also have a huge advantage.
Nightshroud99 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Hi guys, how's everybody. I got this piece myself, I have Photoshop but am a complete dunce with it so I don't think I'm qualified for putting together puzzles, but surely someone else can help.
DarthPotato Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 This sort of reminds me of lunches, and both scum and Town had lunches during that game of life. So I bet at least some people with a piece could be scum, and it could be the ones holding off posting it.
Hinckley Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Not one piece posted so far doesn't match another...
CorneliusMurdock Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Not one piece posted so far doesn't match another... Makes me wonder how big this puzzle is.
Rick Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Sorry, I got no piece. If "everyone" presents their pieces and it still doesn't make sense, I think those claiming to not have pieces should be put under scrutiny. And if the scum think exactly this way, they'll just present their pieces to avoid scrutiny. If only it were that easy. Do you not have photoshop or elements? Or Paint? Elephants? Where? This sort of reminds me of lunches, and both scum and Town had lunches during that game of life. So I bet at least some people with a piece could be scum, and it could be the ones holding off posting it. ... or the ones posting them hoping to avoid scrutiny. Did you just put wine in front of me? It's 8AM! Not one piece posted so far doesn't match another... You're not supposed to force them to match.
Scouty Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Here's what we have so far...I've added in my piece here... I was debating with myself for some time whether I wanted to reveal my piece or not. I agree we need to get them down on the table, but I'm afraid the scum will just keep theirs and take what we have done and have an advantage over town. So I wasn't too eager to reveal it, in a small attempt in keeping an advantage over the scum. I came to the conclusion that revealing my piece was not going to be a deal breaker, though...it's only an "e", hardly a letter to be missed with at the end of a word. This is fun stitching them together, though !
CMP Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 If pieces are missing, we'll just look to those who didn't share or said they had no piece, giving us a good lead. Frankly, I'd be fine with an immortal scum for a single night, if we get an accurate suspect list in return.

Frankly, I'd be fine with an immortal scum for a single night, if we get an accurate suspect list in return. More wine? It's 9AM! I bet the scum are fine with an immortal townie for a night if they can just fly under the radar by presenting their puzzle pieces like a good townie. They'll just kill someone who's bad at puzzles. def (am I the only one wondering why his face is such a beautiful yellow?) said something about the scum getting an 'unkillable strong man ability' if they solve the puzzle.
CMP Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 We've got all of Day One for people to present their pieces, it's too early to make judgments on that yet. More wine? It lasts only for Night One. Still, I bet you all the....um.......well, we don't have anything of value to bet in here, but I bet you the scum value it more than townies. And if not, and they do give up their pieces, well, we've all got a fair chance at it. My point is, if the puzzle's not completed by the end of Day One, we'll at least have a few people to accusingly point suspiciously wave fingers at later.
