reload Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Hi Eurobrickers. So Here's a reason why all the Eurobrickers down under need to come to Brickvention next weekend. Here is "Elvis" my 100,000 brick Erickson Air-Crane in fire tanker mode. 4m long and over 1m high. It took me just over a month to make, and given his odd shape and very tiny ground touch points made him quite the challenge to build. More pics next week :) Cheers and see you at Brickvention! lightningtiger Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Again the 'Reload' strikes back - Beyond AWESOME ! The detailing is fantastic and so realistic.......is it set up for cargo lifting or water bombing (suitable at the moment given the problems we have down under). Brick On 'Reload' ! Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Man this is huge!! Makes me wish I lived in Australia so I could see it in person. Great job!!! Do you have any more pictures? Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 That is a fantastic model reload! 4m long is enormous! I can't wait to see more images. Great job Quote

Phazon Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 You just blew me away! Simply stunning, great job on all those details. The monster is recognisable and yet very original, I love it! Quote
_bIG_fM_ Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 ... What the Hell ?! 4m? I can't believe it. Incredible. It is hold by a steel frame? or by itself? Quote
Rick Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Very impressive. I'm moving this to Special Themes as it's not minifig-scale. Quote
Wedge09 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Impressive MOC, absolutely detailed  Quote
Yatkuu Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Holy cow... what a build. The photography is equally incredible. Quote
meyerc13 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 What an incredible model! I saw Elvis back in 2009 at Oshkosh AirVenture, and you've done a remarkable job of recreating Elvis in LEGO bricks. I can't believe the size of it... the picture above is great, but the picture on your Flickr with you standing next to it is mind-boggling. Quote
Man with a hat Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 This is amazing. And you really can't appreciate the scale unless you see you standing next to it. I absolutely love this! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 That's a great model Ryan, and a great color compared to your Love Boat and Saturn V. Does is it fly all the way to Brickworld? Quote
reload Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 Thanks for your kind words everyone :) And Yes Vincent the colour is great, it is very Netherlands ;) I would love to take it over to Brickworld, it all depends on my work schedule and what can fit in, fingers crossed :) To answer a previous question, Yes there is some steel in it, the rotors and rotor assembly are made of steel then encased in LEGO, the sheer weight of it would snap it like a twig otherwise. Also as these models get shipped around a lot they need to be very strong and robust, so I tend to over engineer. Quote
Aussie BJ Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Ryan this is truly awesome. I couldn't believe it was 4m looking at the first picture but then I checked your website. So wish I could go to Brickvention but sadly it's just to far away. Quote
