DaSkulduggery77 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Never even seen a thing like that happen. Got a set missing a vital piece, though. Never bothered ordering another one. Was too tired...it's probably too late now... Quote
HelpDevlin Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Often extra pieces, but not sure if it's my poor assembling skiils, or extra pieces! Edited February 17, 2013 by HelpDevlin Quote
Commander_Rob Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 The one thing I can remember from the top of my head is when I got the 4504 Millennium Falcon, some step from the instruction apparently couldn't actually be built that way (something around the cockpit, as I recall) and there was a little sheet of paper correcting the step, and the two or three different parts needed. The parts originally intended there were however also included. Quote
ryannosaurus Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Hi guys. I just opened Star Wars 9489 - Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper Battle Pack, and found a strange large purple... wing? Sword-type-thing? First totally random Lego piece I've come across in a set. Oops, photo didn't attach... It appears to be this Chima's purple wing piece... http://www.purplepawn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/LEGO-Legends-of-Chima-CHI-Razar-Constraction.jpg Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Wow, that is what we call bad luck That's what we call bad research. :) Quote
LegoDad Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Only extra I have ever received was an extra sticker sheet in one of the Superheroes sets. My Fire Brigade was missing a couple pieces as well, but they were easily replaced from my inventory. Quote
Werlu Ulcur Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Never got a wrong piece, but plenty of extras. I'm aware that their QC is basically based on the weight of the bag, but it has been my impression that I always get proportionally more spares with smaller sets then with big ones . Quote
Hobbit Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I got the town hall, and each window pane had a tiny dot on. Curious, i emailed lego. 2 days later i was mailed 50 something replacements! Quote
antp Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 The glass or the frame? What kind of dot? Did you make a photo? Isn't that just the injection point? Quote
Faefrost Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I got the town hall, and each window pane had a tiny dot on. Curious, i emailed lego. 2 days later i was mailed 50 something replacements! That's quite common in flat window pieces. A circular foggy area. Quote
Wolfolo Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) I think I have 2 extra 2x4 black plates on my 10220 Volkswagen, I'm not really sure about that (I built it on one night so I could've been a bit tired and missed an instruction step) but all looks in place... I think one day I'll rebuild it to check if those pieces are really extra :P Edited April 25, 2013 by Wolfolo Quote
TheLegoDr Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I think that the window spot is linked to the machine that makes them. Although I think they look better now than where they used to be when Cafe Corner was new. Looking at those reviews shows it more centrally located, whereas the new windows are more on the side somewhere. Quote
jonwil Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I got an extra 2 x 3 grey plate in the Shell Ferrari FXX set. Quote
SNIPE Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 When I got the lego technic 8428 it had two yellow 1x2 bricks instead of two yellow 1x2 bricks with pinhole, centred. Cool set though. Quote
