Posted January 11, 201312 yr Hello everybody! I'm not a very active member but I would like to share my current Lego project with you. It is a slowly growing layout of Hobbiton. It all started with Bag End. I was very satisfied with this so I tried to keep it going and have started to turn this one Hobbithole into a layout. So now it look like this \ It is not my goal to recreate the entire film set but it does look like it. I am now in the process of deciding where to go with these two roads. Probably they will meet somewhere on the left and then continue as one road that crosses the Bywater Bridge. This bridge has the Sandyman's Mill on one side and The Green Dragon on the other. So I will have to build them as well. Hope you like it and let me know what you think! ps, there are no interiors Check out more on my brickshelf. Edited January 11, 201312 yr by large88
January 11, 201312 yr Author It looks already very promising, so keep it up! Thanks! I almost forgot. I made a bridge already :)
January 11, 201312 yr Very nice, I like how you've angled Bag End to the road. It gives it a very natural feel. Looking forward to seeing more!
January 11, 201312 yr Author Wow, this is cool! I might have to steal your window technique for mine! Haha, no problem!
January 11, 201312 yr Author Wow! This is awesome! Are you going to do an interior? Don't know, i'might give it a try. That will take some mayor modifications of what I have now.
January 18, 201312 yr I like this a lot. It looks a bit simpler than many other builds around, but it has a genuine LEGO-ish feel to it. It's just the good ol' bricks! :D Keep up the good work, it's cosy to look at :)
January 19, 201312 yr Author I like this a lot. It looks a bit simpler than many other builds around, but it has a genuine LEGO-ish feel to it. It's just the good ol' bricks! :D Keep up the good work, it's cosy to look at :) Thanks! Besides a train station this is one of my first real Moc's. It's not supposed to be just like in the movies but simply a place where the Minifigs find their home I am now looking into making some things move, just to make it more fun to look at

January 21, 201312 yr Author   AMAZING!!! How does it stand up though? Thats gonna be a lot of work to finnish it all   Will definitely keep an eye out on this one. well two eyes as often as I can spare them PS will you make anything to do with Tintin Thanks It is built in modules, the high road and Bag End are built on 16x16 plates and then lifted on a stacks of 10 2x2 bricks. I like you mentioned Tintin, I actually made a Marlinspike Hall in LDD: But this will not make it to a real life creation anytime soon, money does not grow on trees
January 22, 201312 yr That's a really neat MOC. I like the scale and the whole set-up. It is very fitting for those Hobbitses. I considered doing something similar, but on an even smaller scale, just so I can incorporate more into it. Plus, I'm really into mini-building anymore. But I love how you did yours. I can't wait to see more. Keep up the great work.
January 24, 201312 yr Wow nice marlinspike Im actually making my own one now!!! Just finished Calculas this morning next is the gypsy camp I will place it up soon as a wip like yours I thought the base plates didnt connect to each other????? when will you update this? PS: How many studs across are the side wings and front stair bit Edited January 24, 201312 yr by SandMirror38
January 31, 201312 yr Author A WIP image added some vegetation and continued building on the left side.
February 26, 201312 yr Awesome Work, i know this topic has been inactive for about a month but its just so stunning!
February 26, 201312 yr This WIP MOC looks excellent so far. It's nice to see a variety of different burrows. I hope to see the finished MOC soon.
February 26, 201312 yr Author I finished the top left part of Bag End. It is a side entrance where all the supplies for Bag End are brought in.
February 26, 201312 yr Ooh awesome why have I not seen this before.... Great technique, the flow from the top of the first row of buildings to the second is just done beautifully.
February 26, 201312 yr Great version of the Shire! I really like how you made the path have 2 ruts instead of just a complete dirt path The hobbit holes themselves are excellent too
