Looks good, any update on it yet?

Waiting for a BL order to arrive this week. Also I am giving my wallet a breather at the moment

I will update soon!

Instantly recognisable! Great work :)

Thanks!

The roof is done, it is still DBG although it looks bit bright blue :classic:

For comparison:

That looks great. It does look very blue actually. But the building looks great compared to the source material.

I rewatched Fellowship last night, I really would like to try my hand at this. I just will never take the time.

Good thing I can do it vicariously through you. Keep up the great work!

Wow that's a nice Bagshot Row/Hobbiton.I like the studs everywhere.

Why don't you extend the reverse side to make a scoured shire (like in the books) then one side would be nice, spin it around and then you'd have a destroyed shire!??

That is fun idea :classic:

But I am working on The Green Dragon now, and I need to figure out a way to make that conect to the Bag End part :sweet: And that is enough work for the next few months

Great build, nice technic but I'm not a fan of the blue roof, it makes me think of water. Besides that its really great!

Yeah, it looks blue but it is Dark Bluish Grey. The lighting was bad.

Bad image, but the grey looks better

That is amazing how the lighting can shift the coloring that much. I guess there is a reason they call it dark blue-ish gray after all....

This looks awesome, great work, I like everything, particularly the plant pots :classic:

Thanks for the support guys!

I am hoping to start building the left part of The Green Dragen this week. And it will probably take a few Bricklink orders for the Tan walls and the DBG roof

Also I will add chimneys and keep working on the inside details. There are never enough details :classic:

I am hoping some day it will look like this:

Great work so far; keep it up!

Is the party tree and grounds (where Bilbo has his 111th birthday) on your agenda anytime soon?

Are you planning on making any more of the Shire? The Bridge and the Mill spring to mind!

  • Author

@Karlson, yes the party tree field, and the party on it, are definitely on the to do list. But I will not be starting that for a while.

@Seaber, yes the bridge and the mill will be the part that connects The Green Dragon to the Hobbiton. I will start that after I have finished The Green Dragon.

Here is a picture of the Green Dragon at a recent Lug meeting :classic:

More pictures have been taken, I will ad them when they are online. I have not taken any pictures myself, I lack the skill for that

Wow that Green Dragon is pretty impressive. Looks like excellent scaling. Is there any interior? Looking forward to seeing how you connect it to your Bag End.

  • Author

^Yes there is an interior, although it is not completely done yet. Pictures have been taken of that as well. I will post them when they are uploaded to Flickr by the people who took them
