Sure, I'll play.

Who said that? Where? I can't imagine the Scum ever choosing not to kill. They need to move forward. Killing a fellow Scum could even confuse us as to who the killers are actually working for. So, there's not much risk and not killing sets them back a day in meeting their win condition.

I can't really comment on your argument about the scum killing Cecille, since I have never played a mafia game with her (or most of the other people here). I'll look at Steampunk now, but if she really did have a bunch of scum-tells, then perhaps your idea has some weight. However, how could someone possibly figure out Cecille's alliance based on one Night Zero? She wouldn't have time to exhibit any "scum tells", so I don't think that the scum killers would be very confident in her alliance.

I guess exaggerated the number of people doubting the possibility of a scum kill. Looking back, I'm having trouble finding it. Woops. Anyway, I completely agree with you that it would be strategic for the scum killer(s) to use their action(s).

Because no one would notice it. You've admitted that you don't even know who Flare is. How would you know if his behavior changed?

Agreed.

Well, I am quite intrigued by this game, but I don't think I'm going to play.

I think we do, and at this point it looks like someone's going to be elected for sure because it's whoever has the most votes. So I think Flare has the best chance at the moment.

To be honest, I'd rather go for Cornelius. He's actually pushing for himself, and I think scum would rather let other people nominate them instead of them doing it themselves. Also, how are we supposed to know if a lurker was converted? They'd barely post and we would be able to tell a difference in their activity and posts. Cornelius seems more active so we'd be able to get a better idea of if he's scum or if he's been converted or not.

Maybe he's a baddy who wants to be bad and knows he cans bes bad in charge, also poop.

Actually, there's nothing that implies that a townie won the puzzle. Def said that the first person to get the puzzle would be given absolute immunity from actions in night one. Which means that anyone with an action (scum or no) would get a strongarm too. He was just saying that scum would probably get the best use out of it. So *ping*, yourself.

I also find it hard to believe that Piratedave would reveal all that information about the puzzle without even trying to google and solve it himself first. My gut is telling me he posted his information after his scum team had already got the puzzle correct.

Or maybe he was good guy , but I tink he's doing that (what you think), I need to toilet now.

I'll play

When def mentioned the teams of killers and recruiters, I believe he was just referring to the teams, so (and I really hope this is true) presumably the team that kills (called killers) only kills once per night, and the team that recruits (called recruiters) recruits once per night. There was mention somewhere from def about them having better or enhanced recruiting ability, but we also know the scum teams are unlikely to have investigative roles as they aren't able to confirm themselves to one another (I'm sure he said that somewhere). I doubt the other members of the killing and recruiting teams are just sitting at home twiddling their thumbs, so they probably have other night actions to aid them on their evil endeavours, but at least we know they can't just go and investigate each other and convert each other/ not kill each other. As to numbers, I guesstimate 6 +/- 1 scum total, divided (obviously) into two teams, for what it's worth.

This seems like a good structure of what we're up against, though I wouldn't be surprised if the recruiters had a weak investigative ability, where the results of the people they investigate is simply "recruitable" or "not recruitable".

And don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to start discussion. I'm not saying that Cornelius, Rick and Pandora are all Scum or any of them. There's no proof for that. Although, it's Cornelius's turn, for sure. However, I'm saying that they'd be able to more comfortably tell that she wasn't Scum since they played with her so closely during that game. It's quite a long shot, mind you.

The Scum can't figure anything out and Night Zero was short, but I bet they are trying their best and we only have metagaming to go on. We are being told that metagaming is the new black. def seems to be encouraging us to do this.

Pfft. Maybe you should put one in...

I heard it's fun, but no sticking cue sticks up arses during mafia.

But I'll play this game.

Although, it's Cornelius's turn, for sure.

Do you mean it's his turn to be scum??? If not, I'm just confused.

Really? Or are you being a dickish sarcastic person?

What do you think, Tuckfard?

Aww, what the heck. I change my mind. I'll play. I have to time to kill.

Do you mean it's his turn to be scum??? If not, I'm just confused.

In many games, Cornelius, Foog and I get into group PMs and communicate throughout the game. Foog was Scum in IMHOTEP, I was Scum in Ragnarok and now it's clearly Cornelius's turn.

That is ridiculous metagaming and should not be paid attention to. Cornelius already told me he won't talk to me in private during this game, so I have to make jokes with him in public.

What do you think, Tuckfard?

Durrr... Tuckfard sayz..... Ummmm... I forgotzez......

I don't know how they would be able to confidently figure that Cecilie wasn't the scum opposite in just night 0. It seems entirely too soon to make that call. If anything it was probably a shot out of the dark...

You could be right, but I think there's not enough time to make that call.

But if it shouldn't be paid attention to, why would you even bring it up???

Re-read what I already freakin' said!

Good, then we agree.

You all have the option to hit or stay.

I have, so basically, you say it's his time to be scum, but that is completely over-the-top metagaming so that is not supposed to be paid attention to? So then, you change the subject slightly and mention he won't message you privately? And if metagaming is something we should watch out for, then that gives an O.K. reason to lynch him, according to your statement. I don't think he should be lynched, however, there are others who should be lynched more, such as Piratedave84.

Stay!

I'll hit!

Stay?

Crap! I don't play a lot of cards! Stay????

Hit me. :sweet:
