Hinckley Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 We all know that. Yes, when going over the posts this morning I mean to comment on this (so I clicked on the multi-quote button on your post): But Scouty had already replied to you, so I deleted your (quoted) post again when replying. That's how the quoted posts got mixed up. I've changed my mind anyway. I'd like to put the pieces we did have together to find out how many pieces there likely were. Wouldn't this be an easy game if we were all supposed to have one and the ones who said they didn't are just liars? We'd have busted all the Scum. It's worth a shot and a better use of my time than sitting around being a dick to everyone.
Scouty Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 If a townie got the question right and they're immune to the scum's kill (and possibly conversion too), then yes, that's not a very good idea, because the scum would know who not to target. But... you'd clear anyone coming forward from being scum? As to asking everyone to reveal their puzzle pieces, it might be useful later on, but - given that Cecilie was withholding her piece too - I don't think we can really conclude too much from it right now. Well, it's just an assumption that whoever comes forward is not likely to be scum, since a scum would not want to reveal to anybody that they got it. Besides pointing out for the scum of who not to target (which is still a very narrow margin for them to hit anyway), I don't see, from a townie perspective, the harm a town member would have stepping forward. So I assumed that if nobody comes forward, the scum must've gotten it. Not that anybody who steps forward is cleared, there'd still be some suspicion. It was an idea and now that it's been laid out, it looks like it's not going to work. I still think we should assemble the puzzle, it takes no effort for people to copy and paste their puzzle pieces into the thread or say a few simple pixels worth of "I don't have a puzzle piece". I'll assemble the puzzle, I'll waste my own time, maybe I'll find something. This is something that is going to take no effort on everybody's part.
Tamamono Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I actually think that a large amount of people competing in the games of chance is a bad idea; the lynch is the town's best weapon, and town is much more likely to lose their vote than scum. I'd say it'd be optimal for only 2 people to compete at a time from now on. Rats I missed the game... I love me some blackjack! I will vote mayor: Adam since he has the nice suit and the official looking hat! He looks the part! It's not really a big deal since Cornelius was already elected, but why on earth would you split the mayor vote?
Hinckley Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Is it right that only twelve people shared their pieces? I think I must have at least one piece wrong. However, we know that Cecilie had a piece that we'll never see and Redblade might have had one too. Somebody must have the piece that completes the word "homicidal". Come on, people. Share your pieces. You have nothing to lose at this point.
DarthPotato Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I already shared mine during Night Zero, and I do think that if we're going to look at everyone who had a piece we should do this now. Once more people start dying we may never know if they even had a piece.
Big Cam Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I already shared mine during Night Zero, and I do think that if we're going to look at everyone who had a piece we should do this now. Once more people start dying we may never know if they even had a piece. I asked my.mommy where the potty is and she said I should agree with you. Let's see those pieces, I like puzzles, uh oh. I need pee pee now!

TrumpetKing67 suggest we wait until Day One to solve it Why wait?

I'd say it'd be optimal for only 2 people to compete at a time from now on. I agree, and it gives random people more power. Def said we'd be playing a better game tomorrow, but I'd definitely be hesitant to wager my vote. In other news, what's up with Big Cam? Why has he been talking like a baby all day? Too much rum in the Pirates forum, or a result of a night action? As hilarious as it is, why do have such an action in this game, if that was the cause?
DarthPotato Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I asked my.mommy where the potty is and she said I should agree with you. Let's see those pieces, I like puzzles, uh oh. I need pee pee now! Someone get this man to the bathroom ASAP!
Hinckley Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I agree, and it gives random people more power. Def said we'd be playing a better game tomorrow, but I'd definitely be hesitant to wager my vote. I will never play one of those games again. Wagering a vote is stupid. Count me out. With 13 pieces: I would guess there are 20 pieces in total...
DarthPotato Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Hmm, so Cecelie had one, plus the people that haven't revealed if they have one or not yet (this is just assuming if all or most of them have a piece), that makes seven. I don't think that's enough to complete the puzzle... not even if Redblade had a piece. But I guess we'll see.
Big Cam Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I showed my piece lates because I went night night while pottying. I still needs to potty.
Hinckley Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I showed my piece lates because I went night night while pottying. I still needs to potty. I hope this is the result of a Night Action because it's megablocking irritating.
Scouty Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Danny and Scouty were both reading the thread as the pieces were coming in. Scouty didn't reveal his until the following day and only as part of a larger jpg. We haven't seen the actual shape of his original piece. I actually posted mine the same night, it was just that I posted it past midnight. Here's the original piece, it really isn't anything critical to the puzzle, at least that I can see.
Hinckley Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 The reason it looked like there were random letters strewn about is that it's center justified and spreads even the smallest words like "ce?" all the way to the edges. Derp. I did realize this earlier but have been going over Night Zero and today and just wanted to comment on my dumb comment.
TrumpetKing Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 TrumpetKing67 suggest we wait until Day One to solve it Why wait? I said that we should wait to do anything further, because if I remember correctly, some people already said that hey were not going to show their piece. I had assumed that there would have been more pieces shown then, because I had stated that we can associate the people who felt uncomfortable with showing their pieces (or claimed they had none, when there were still more pieces than players who had one) as scum, as they wouldn't want to give townies any advantages, even if it is a Night 1 immunity. That theory was already proved wrong, as Cecilie was already shown as town.

TrumpetKing Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Hold on, I just confused myself. Let me rephrase. I thought we had more pieces than we had, so I had assumed that we could use the pieces missing against the people who claimed not to have one or refused to show their pieces after everyone had claimed. But I guess that will take a while, because there are 6 people who haven't shown a piece/claimed not to have a piece, and there are 6 estimated to be left, so if 1 person claims not to have one, we should lynch one of the people who claimed not to have one, since one of them clearly lied.

Tamamono Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 What homicidal 1977 new wave hit ____ed the _____ ti_____ It's like def said, it's psycho killer. We're wasting our time.
TrumpetKing Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Exactly. I guess there is room for two more "No piece" claims. Still, I am sure that these pieces could lead us to today's lynch. What homicidal 1977 new wave hit ____ed the _____ ti_____ It's like def said, it's psycho killer. We're wasting our time. Hinckley wants to use the pieces to the town's advantage to see who is lying or not.
Pandora Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 And don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to start discussion. I'm not saying that Cornelius, Rick and Pandora are all Scum or any of them. There's no proof for that. Although, it's Cornelius's turn, for sure. However, I'm saying that they'd be able to more comfortably tell that she wasn't Scum since they played with her so closely during that game. It's quite a long shot, mind you. A ridiculously long shot, and you left out yourself from that list, as you would also be best able to read a lot of people's town and scum tells from that game. You even appraised us about it afterwards. Such a long shot that you mention that list (without yourself) twice. After reading to the last 4 pages of material (I was asleep what do you want...) Hincks, I think you've cleared yourself up from any accusations of scum. If you were just voting for me for mayor because you didn't know me, then I'm not sure if that was the best idea but fine, no submotives. Cornelius, you pushing yourself to be mayor seems a little bit suspicious. Why do you want to be mayor so badly? ("Oh, because I don't want Flare the noob to be mayor so I need it to be me! ME!!! ") And TrumpetKing67, I have to agree that you also have been acting a bit scummy. Despite the fact that you voted for me as mayor. I don't know who I should vote for as mayor, not Cornelius, but I don't think there are really any other choices besides myself at the moment. I'm allowed to vote for myself, right? I have to say this is the oddest post I've seen so far today (Big Cam's toileting issues notwithstanding). It's almost as if you're trying to preempt an accusation against Hinck, and you seem to be trying to say that Cornelius wants to be mayor because of his ego? This whole post reads scummy to me. Especially after: Well I'm pretty sure you explained that you voted for me as mayor, because you found me as the least-known among the players... And yes your posts have been a bit brash And since I haven't voted for mayor yet, I might as well right now: Mayor: Flare Where you don't actually say where or when you saw Hinck being accused, and why you think these accusations have been cleared up. Couple that with a bunch of people just 'deciding' to vote for you as mayor, and it all smells rather fishy. It's time to vote, right? Well maybe we should get the ball rolling. I vote: Flare (but not for mayor.) I think we can live without you, and it'll give us some insight into the other people who were happy for you to become the EB mafia tool mayor. I'm sure this will give us something to talk about. Hinckley wants to use the pieces to the town's advantage to see who is lying or not. I believe the original idea was Scouty's, no?
Scouty Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 What homicidal 1977 new wave hit ____ed the _____ ti_____ It's like def said, it's psycho killer. We're wasting our time. We're not trying to find what the puzzle said I believe the original idea was Scouty's, no? No, a handful of people wanted to see if people would be lying about having pieces or not when solving the puzzle. They seem to have dropped that idea, so I wanted to see it through that we do our original intentions and not simply forget about it just because its been solved.
