For a ghost ship, I would like to see it with torn and tattered sails, like the RBR, but plain white. The BP was too black for my liking.

You guys think they're making two or even three movies simoultaneously right now? Two years is a lot of time, i don't think they need so many months to focus on filming, speccial effects and all that postproduction stuff. So what could be the reason? Obviously Disney's got enough teams to work on important projects right? It's not that they're gonna film the whole thing now, put it on a shelf because of other titles that are scheduled to be released earlier, and then focus on finalizing POTC.

I haven't heard anything about any other POTC coming out,the POTC V movie was delayed and moved from 2015 to 2017,the reasons for that I don't know and I'm too bored to search them right now

Yeah, i don't like the lack of any infos and updated either. Plus it's crazy that with google you always have to go trough hundreds of old and worthless messages to actually find what you're looking for

And i know about delay, but delayed was everything, including script, filming and locations. And now it seems they've already started so... The question remains

As long as the movie is good(and hopefully the sets are too)it's worth the wait.Can't wait to get an updated Jack Sparrow minifig....ooops Captain Jack Sparrow,my bad

Yeah, the videogames are actually quite good.

My kids love them.

Well expect the Lego POTC game which I almost finished 100% I kind lost interest on Lego games nowdays.

IMDB has some pretty firm details about the film - it looks like it's getting made to me. Disney will have some interesting release strategies to manage because with Star Wars and Marvel movies they will always be trying not to compete with themselves at the box office. So given that they are big studio execs making the release decisions, I'm sure they'll screw it up somehow.

The Pirates of the Caribbean sets were too expensive for me to afford, like the newest Hobbit sets. :/ I hope we get at least one more lego original pirates line before PotC then. :) The sets are cool though, if only they were cheaper.

Hopefully when the movie comes out we'll get more accurate movie based sets,not like the previous ones.Especially a particular set which I wont name cough4192cough.

I hope you're right for the sake of the Pirates theme. I believe POTC 4 was the reason for Pirates 2009 being discontinued. With a new POTC movie we could see the same thing.

• Discontinue the Pirates theme for a licensed theme.
  
• Have a couple of waves of the licensed theme.
  
• Then, discontinue the licensed theme.
  
• In the end, no pirate theme (again).

That would be bad indeed - but I would say let's not loose hope while the new movie is still so far away.

This is just pure speculation but I just read that there is a POTC 5 movie in the making. I can only assume LEGO will make another wave. Updated Black Pearl please!

Ah, any and all POTC talk gets done in the pirates forum.......and anyway, only the ships sold well......there were that many mill sets the stores couldn't give them away so I doubt we'll see other wave again......but Lego and Disney might have plans who knows.

I wonder if Lego still holds the license for POTC? I have no idea, maybe someone could answer that.

I bought a minifigure set of that movie with Johnny Depp (god knows his name in the movie) and some pirates and skellingtons. I love seeing him run away from them on my beach scene in my layout. But that's about all I found worth buying from those sets.

Actually it is Captain Jack Sparrow. ;p Captain Jack is a german Eurodance group, that was big in the 90s. :-)

And there was a thread for this already. There is no news about will there be a new Lego wave for the movie that was pushed to 2017.
