Posted January 14, 201312 yr A windmill on the walls of Ankh-Morpork. Working for the stonequarries, carpenters and the Guild of Perfumistas this mill has been strategicly placed on the walls to gain some extra hight in the city. video on flickr with all the functions: link I do have more ideas for the wall to expand so more will follow, sometime. more on flickr and brickshelf
January 14, 201312 yr Really nice work  I really like how you made the gears and the style of this MOC
January 14, 201312 yr Great, I love it, it's a nice MOC overall and I like how you have used the lego functions
January 14, 201312 yr I like this version a lot more than the windmill in the TLG - set Those names, are they coming from somewhere ? Btw, my first guess when seeing the word windmill was: it has to be a dutchman who made it
January 14, 201312 yr Fantastic. The world needs more Discworld models. It's a shame the dual grinding wheels don't rotate quite as much, but I guess it's always going to be the case with plastic-on-plastic friction. The only solution would be to make at least one surface rubber, but using tires would look awful. Could the flat surface be made rubber perhaps? Hmmm. Probably not, actually.
January 15, 201312 yr Great build! the only thing I don't really like is the apparent gear system... maybe you could have hide the mecanism inside the wall.
January 15, 201312 yr Yes, very nice. Maybe I'm a little dense but why is it called Triple Windmill'? Joe
January 15, 201312 yr Yes, very nice. Maybe I'm a little dense but why is it called Triple Windmill'? It has 3 functions: grind grain, hamer metal and saw wood (and it's at times like that that I realize my english is really bad...) Edited January 15, 201312 yr by Bob De Quatre
January 15, 201312 yr Author I like this version a lot more than the windmill in the TLG - set Those names, are they coming from somewhere ? Btw, my first guess when seeing the word windmill was: it has to be a dutchman who made it Which names? Ankh-Morpork is in the Discworld books written by sir Terry Pratchett. Guild of Perfumistas has been made up by me in style with the books. Triple Windmill is my own. Great build! the only thing I don't really like is the apparent gear system... maybe you could have hide the mecanism inside the wall. The gear system has been put outside on purpose. I like it exposed and the more ugly bits are hidden inside. Yes, very nice. Maybe I'm a little dense but why is it called Triple Windmill'? Joe Indeed, three functions; grind flowers for their perfume, thumb rock and saw the wood. Edited January 15, 201312 yr by L-space
January 16, 201312 yr It has 3 functions: grind grain, hamer metal and saw wood (and it's at times like that that I realize my english is really bad...) Ok thanks, I thought it was something like that but it's kinda hard to pick out the features. Your English is ok, you should've used gerunds (i.e. grinding).
February 5, 201312 yr This is incredible. That was a real joy to watch and I really loved the look of the treadmill itself.
