Shadows Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 If I'd wanted to lynch darkdragon, I would have voted for her. At no point did I consider her to be a lynch candidate for yesterday or today. I'm not 'fighting this issue', I am teasing out the inconsistencies in the things you say. It's a pleasure to have your undivided attention as you turn a blind eye towards the inconsistent things that others have said. I don't think I've been inconsistent at all, I'm trying to look at this complicated and new situation that we are in and take all of it into consideration. There are bound to be surprises along the way and adjustments to be made, but it's all a natural progression. If you want to consider that as inconsistent, that's up to you, but do try to apply it equally, if you have any interest in doing so for the sake of the town. If your motives are elsewhere, keep doing what you are now. I expect people to have theories, yes, but to be absolutely certain, no. There are times when things are obvious enough to be absolutely certain about them. When people overlook those things, it makes me incredibly suspicious of their motives. I would simply think you weren't paying attention, but that's obviously not the problem here. I don't remember you becoming nasty towards me on any occasion I've been scum. I do, however, remember you being a massive twat when you were scum. A bit like now. It's funny you would bring up the last game with this host. Another coincidence, but at least a fun one. Our whole team was laughing at the town, but I don't recall any of us actually being jerks about it, we kept it to the writeboard where it belonged. The last time I was a jerk in game was, coincidentally, towards darkdragon in Excalibur and yes, she was scum and it caused exactly the right result, the one the town needed. Perhaps I mixed the two of you up there. As for being a massive twat, now you sound like Hinck, though that's always been in reference to others, I've never heard him use it on me. Again, I can believe people have suspicions about what might have happened, strong feelings even, but to be absolutely certain as you are? You're exaggerating the import of that point by saying the town is lost. Absolutely. I am absolutely, unwaveringly, 100% certain that she was killed by the psycho killer. The host literally spelled it out for those who are reading and comprehending, or even just reading and taking the time to visit Google. If you want to tell me that def, living in Japan, used 'kekeke' for some other purpose than to indicate a psycho who is laughing as they commit their deed, go right ahead. If you aren't aware of the usage of that term, check it out for yourself, then come back and tell me that's the vig or even the scum. Don't even need to get in to the choice of weapon, but that makes it pretty obvious as well. You aren't that stupid. That means you're intentionally trying to avoid the truth. The question is why. True, he only quoted his own PMs. But still, why come forward if no one had brought up the matter yet? To look helpful while causing confusion? It looks like the chainsaw killer is the psycho killer, but that's mainly based on the chainsaw killer's night zero kill. You stating it as an almost absolute fact is odd though. Read above, nothing odd at all, the only thing that is odd is that anyone would choose to overlook what the host was kind enough to give us in favour of intentional ignorance. An hour passes, with merely one person attempting to increase their voting power. The Banana Sphinx is deflated. That's disappointing, but interesting to see that people were here and passed up a chance that was so clearly without risk. Very interesting, indeed.
TrumpetKing Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Poor Mr. Pharaoh..... I can't say that I'm interested in playing, because I''m not, but I do think he should try again with us sometime else. OK, so, since we have a volunteer for mayor, I don't see a huge problem with that, but I am going to hold my vote for a little. I don't want to use my vote so quickly, and though the odds are low, we may see another volunteer. And we are witnessing an argument between Shadows, Hinck, and Pandora now. I think I am much more willing to lynch Shadows or Hinck. Hinck just seems of this game. He isn't acting anything like he did in Heartlake. Oh, and he did say that the vig should kill him if the vig is smart. Were you hinting something there, Hinck? And Shadows is so sure that DD died from the SK, perhaps he knows more than we do? I, personally would probably lynch Hinckley in this situation, partly because I know that this is not how he played as a townie last time, so he is more likely to be a member of the scum than I think Shadows is.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 *dirty rags, waltzing, FrenchRevolution barricade* When someone is part of the town and wants to help it, they speak clearly and keep it short enough that everyone will read it. You're obviously under some outside influence, or want us to believe you are with this song and dance, but even excusing that, it should be possible to make more sense with less volume of crap inbetween, otherwise it's just the standard wall of text the scum use to confuse and distract. I seem to recall people pointing out that Big Cam could have been a little more helpful between his poopy attacks, well, I think you could do a little better here. The sheer volume of your songs makes it almost seem like you were prepared for whatever this is, like you did it to yourself to try to seem innocent. How would I prepare all of the songs today? That would mean I'd know what everyone would say. You want info? About the Scum I found? Well, doesn't it seem Scummy to insist on putting me down? *dramatic pause* *begins waltzing again* "Hush, hush, haste," That's what Scouty said to me. That is weird and that is what lead to me Asking him "Hush, hush what?" And the he said he's looking for friends and then he said to me: "Hush, hush haste" Like it is some kind of code "You are Scum!" I answered then I hit the road. Don't believe me? Well here is what we said, And Shadows will still not believe but soon you will all conceive: People love claiming to you, don't they. Well, what are your thoughts? Am I the scum killer? Well, I didn't go out to kill anybody, that's for sure. Didn't go out anyway since I was blocked, as you say. Didn't go out last night either to kill anybody either. That's just not my thing, if I had a thing. Do I? Maybe. How much I tell you depends entirely on how helpful you are. No, not helpful, wrong word (well, I hope you're helpful, still), but rather the level of how much stabby backstab you could do. I'm looking for friends. I have another potential friend, too, though I can't trust him yet. I hope I can trust you to be my friend. That would be great. Hush, hush, do not haste, if you haste you may be shooting yourself in the foot. If you're my friend, that is. Hush hush, what? Yeah, sorry, I like talking in such a weird way. I must be careful, there are people who'd want to do harm to me if they found out who I am. I mean, I could be vanilla and there'd still be people who'd want to do harm to me. But, BUT, I need to know if you can be my friend. Like I said, I'm looking for friends. Friends who have a common goal. I'd like to know if you can be my friend, if you're at all curious in wondering of what I know, which is not a lot, but it is information beneficial to my list of friends. Don't hush, but don't haste, either. Let's not make any rash decisions. We must be careful. For your information, I have proof I'm not the scum killer. Kill? That's not my thing. But I'm still looking for friends. I see you already starting to do the stabby backstab stabbing. I told you not to haste. If I'm scum, would I be so obvious?? If I'm town would I be so devious?? This game is different. We must be careful. Do. Not. Haste. If you reveal me, and we are on the same side, you will shoot yourself in the foot, for I will tell the truth of myself and if I'm not lynched for being called a "liar" which I have not done at all, I swear, I so bloody swear. I'm being vague for all intents and purposes. If I'm not lynched, then I'll probably be killed. I told you not to haste. Shut up. You're Scum. Clearly. Haste haste hush, blah blah. Scum. Scum. Scum. Come on, what else could it be? You make zero sense. If it's a real thing, say it. I can't believe you would expect me to believe you're not Scum after this weirdness... I'm not backing down. Listen to me, clearly. If you're opposite my side, then well done, I guess. If not, then you will be shooting yourself in the foot. Would you like to know who I am and how I'm not the scum killer? Because you're on the conversion team??? I'm not Scum! If you're Town, just tell me or I'll just out you in thread. You'd do it anyway yourself one you see what I've said. Damn it! That rhymes. I have to go to sleep. I'm going to brush my teeth. You have until then to explain it. What else could it be? It's me being careful. Like I said, I have to be careful, we have to be careful. It's me being devious, because we're supposed to be. This is different and I'm being ballsy. I'd hate for your typical haste fashion to balls it all up. I've already had a watcher watch me targeting somebody who did not die last night, and the town blocker blocked me from targeting you. Friends, I'm hoping to gather an alliance between me, the watcher, and the blocker (and maybe you, who I have no idea what your alliance is, which explains why I'm being so bloody weird and cautious because I don't want to be clear about anything in an attempt to destroy my enemies). I did it with the watcher, too, because I couldn't trust him. Don't know if I still do, but he knows I targeted shadows, so that's at least reassuring. To put it simply, I'm not a threat. My purpose here is to aid. I'm looking for friends, not recruits. *Waltzes* *Intermission*
Pandora Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Absolutely. Don't even need to get in to the choice of weapon, but that makes it pretty obvious as well. I did look it up, and this is what I found. It implies an evil or malicious laugh, which could just as easily be attributed to the scum as to the SK. I'd be interested to see what you found when googling that convinced you otherwise.
Piratedave84 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I did look it up, and this is what I found. It implies an evil or malicious laugh, which could just as easily be attributed to the scum as to the SK. I'd be interested to see what you found when googling that convinced you otherwise. I looked up the same thing; how does that 100% imply SK? Maniacal laugter is not a valid clue IMO!
Shadows Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Don't believe me? Well here is what we said, And Shadows will still not believe but soon you will all conceive: Actually, it's funny you say that, because it would have been true before this... On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most, how much can I trust you? Isn't any answer I give going to be 10? No, it's a trick question. The answer is 1, I probably can't trust you. Still, I'd like to begin in what I hope can be friendship. Everybody likes friendship, right? We can certainly try. What did you have in mind? Haven't heard anything more. Don't really expect to. Consider me sold, there is no possible way that I can see that as anything but scummy. I did look it up, and this is what I found. It implies an evil or malicious laugh, which could just as easily be attributed to the scum as to the SK. I'd be interested to see what you found when googling that convinced you otherwise. Interesting that you quote the "also used" definition, not the main one. To be perfectly honest, I didn't even have to Google it, I'm a gamer and it's use is common enough to not need explaining to me. I have never once heard it used to represent anything but insane laughter. For a quick source that isn't wikipedia, I would find the more accurate answer to be: “KEKEKE,” a popular Korean phrase that is comparable to “lolololol” in English from Know Your Meme, where it's history is explained. Maniacal laugter is not a valid clue IMO! For a psycho killer. Seriously? I stand by my earlier statement, if this is the thought level of the town, we're screwed.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 *Waltzes again* For Shadows sake, I've broken this down to two parts Here is where The lies begin to stink like farts You will see that Scouty targeted Shadows And there's corroboration from a watcher, prepare the gallows: What did you do to Shadows? I didn't do anything to Shadows. I protected him. More or less. I'm a weak doctor. My role is titled the Seer. I can see anyone who is going to die in the day and prevent their death. The description goes on to say that it's a night action that will be effective the next day. This has gotten me to think that there's a day killer, though there hasn't been evidence of one so far...it's a bit confusing. I targeted you night zero, because, well, you know, the usual, but I was blocked. I tried protecting you again last night, but you can't do the same guy on consecutive nights, so I switched to Shadows. I didn't really know who else. Choosing DD or CM wouldn't have done me any good, since I only protect people the next day, or something like that. So you see, A claim of weak doctor, a typical Scum claim convenient claim to doctor If he dies, we'll think he targeted Scum but, in the mean time he targets people, making targets up: I'm not being easy on purpose. I want to do more than just out my role to people. I have to make sure the people I talk to are trustworthy. This is helpful, for me, to know who I can and who I cannot trust. It's my fortune that my small group of friends seem to be trustworthy. Or at least I hope. I have no clue, it really is all just hope. I'm really edgy right now, this is different for me. You're used to my "Oh, don't kill me, I make such sad faces !!!" routine. I'm doing something slightly different, I guess. You were being a bit different, weren't you? If it gets me killed, I'm probably not going to do it again. I'll keep to the faces. Since we're in the mood of sharing PMs, because I can't believe I still talk to you when I know that whatever I say is going to go right to another person to be analyzed or whatever...it's still hurtful you didn't hush and now you're making a big splash... Where was I? Oh, right. The watcher. Here's his PMs. I've removed his name because I don't want his identity revealed. Yet. Care to share what you and Shadows did last night? Or rather what you did to him? I don't know what Shadows was doing, but I didn't harm him. So I guess you're some sort of watcher tracker? Not exactly, I was told. So obviously he's not dead and Hinckley is the cursed one today so my only conclusion is you recruited Shadows as scum. Am I close? Not exactly, you were told? If its not watcher or tracker, how else could you have seen me targeting Shadows? Me recruiting Shadows is one conclusion, yes, maybe not the only conclusion, but one all the same. You can beat around the bush all you want. I messed up by approaching you, I should have watched you again tonight, but I'll chalk it up to an inexperienced mistake. So now I'm left with a choice, either I tell the thread what I do know along with what I think I know. This will likely get me killed, I presume by you and your scum team. Or if you are scum and if your team has the ability, you recruit me and I keepy mouth shut and you can use my ability to your advantage. Like I said, I make the mistake by contacting you and I pretty much feel like these are my only two options at this point. No, it's good you contacted me. I'm looking for friends I can trust and its hard to make them, especially in such a paranoid, and narrow field of friends I can trust. You can tell the public what you've seen and what you know. When you do, I'll tell the truth and it may end with the death of me or you. Or both. We may be on the same side, but we just don't know it, yet. If I do die, it'll be a somewhat loss to my side. I'm nothing major, but I'm pretty helpful. That I know. What I don't know is how much a loss your death would be to your side...and that's important to know. I wonder what side you are on. My instincts say "a watcher, he's likely town", but in this game, I'm sure there's more than meets the eye. Just one caution, lets not make haste with this conversation, and I can assure you that you will not be killed because of me. Have you contacted Shadows? Edit: Also, watching me again tonight wouldn't tell you much more than you know now. Though I do know that we are not allowed to target the same person in consecutive nights. I have not contacted anyone else besides you. Should I contact Shadows.? Can he tell me more? I can hold my tongue for a while. I'd be fine not speaking up, if we can work together. I have the watcher role which is pretty easy to tell. Given what we know about the watcher your right that I town. You know my predicament. It's early.in day one so unless there is a big vote against me for some reason, I'll hang tight. I may be town but I'm willing to listen to any options that lead with a win for me. You said not exactly when I asked if you we're the watcher tracker. Is there something more to it? Which, btw, just to let you know, I targeted Hinck yesterday, or rather night zero, but I was blocked. I tried again, but like I said, can't target the same guy in consecutive nights. Interesting to see that I was not only blocked yesterday, but then watched by you. I'm so flattered of attracting such attention! Nah, I was trying to cover my butt a little. I may have played a bunch of games but they are always so spread out I consider myself a rookie. You called my bluff without even knowing it, so I figured whatever, you already know what I can do. It's just a regular watcher role, I choose who I watch each night. That's ironic because I was going to target Hinck on day one but I chose Adam instead, going along with the no-name theme, I thought someone might try to recruit a lesser known player. I knew I should have stuck with the popular kids. The block must of been random, I can't imagine anyone would know who to block. I chose you as a random pick, but random out of the popular kids. I'm not sure if you should contact shadows yet. Probably better we keep this between ourselves for the moment. I can do that. Don't keep quiet for too long though, I'm a bit scared of getting killed and having my ability and what I know dying with me. Now I wonder if that block was purely random, a thought out choice, and whether it was made by a town or scum blocker?? Hmmmmm.... Anyway, you sound pretty truthful, though it's difficult to be truly sure. I'm looking for friends, I hope you can be one too. I'd tell you more about my role, but I want to keep that hush hush for now. No telling what my role being revealed would do to how people think about this game. Probably not a big change...but like I said, in this sort of game, I'm sure there's more than meets the eye. Ah, I have my answer. Another potential friend of mine has been approached by the town blocker who says they have blocked me. My potential friend (and probably the blocker) think I might be the scum killer, because there was possibly no scum kill night zero. I know I'm not the scum killer, so that's wrong, and obviously the fact that shadows is not dead is also proof of that fact. Anyway, I hope to deal with all this with tact and hopefully we can all become friends. That's the whole conversation, honest. Untempered besides the name of the watcher. From a town perspective, I haven't lied. I only skewed the truth (made vague more like) in case he was scum. I didn't want to go contacting Shadows yet because I couldn't trust shadows, and trying to tell him anything could have been very risky for the town, if he's not town. If I can really trust you, certainly your blocker, he knew I was blocked and I was indeed blocked, I think we may have formed a town block with three town roles. And why does he not tell the watcher this? Why does he Go on about this team of his? Why no mention of the weak doctor It's all coming together like a cake from betty crocker. The watcher is much smarter than me Played it close to his chest to catch more Scummies I flipped out which is what I do Sorry that I didn't try to find out more about his allies. The reasons the blocker block Scouty Night Zero he was lurking, kept his piece and tried to be the hero By compiling the list of who had what piece as if we couldn't read ourselves appearing helpful can be Scum's fleece. I messed up Maybe the Scum wanted this I could've told a smaller group, oh piss... But now that the information's out there We all have to swoop right in and make sure it stays there Especially, since it appears that Shadows was converted, he'll say his plan foreshadows He'll say he knew it he knew how I would act And that's what he depended on and was playing me all along So now, we all have to confuse them Don't let them connect, instead abuse them You know who two of the converters are So get out ther and act like a team of rotten murderers. *Waltzes sadly and somewhat regrettably*
Piratedave84 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 For a psycho killer. Seriously? I stand by my earlier statement, if this is the thought level of the town, we're screwed. Admit it; when you read Scouty's PM (or Hincks's quotes from him) you had Maniacal laugh thinking of how a scum was caught!
def Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 The mayor voting deadline is up, and Hinckley is the new mayor. You may now vote to lynch.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 The mayor voting deadline is up, and Hinckley is the new mayor. *dons a white unitard and tutu* *Dances the entirety of Death of a Swan, flawlessly*
Nightshroud99 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I read a lot of manga books back in the day, and still do to some extent. Kekeke is used when someone is sort of crazy/maniacal. I am not Japanese, nor do I know much about their culture. But def does live there, and I imagine that it is used like that over there. Really the scum and serial killer, if you look at it from an outsider's point of view, are both similar because they kill people and side with evil. Both could use that laugh. I personally believe that the SK killed DD and Redblade. Why, well because of the use of a chainsaw. Chainsaws are really used by psychos, I mean when you think of chainsaw killer who's the first person that comes to your mind? Leatherface. And he's batshit crazy. It's also not exactly a discreet or intelligent weapon to use when dispatching someone. This is definitely playing the game from pictures, but everyone else is doing this and I daresay it's encouraged.
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 *waltzes in dirty rags, French Revolution* vote: Scouty I've stated all my reasons I'm convinced he's guilty of all treasons *waltzes around in circles*
Piratedave84 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 The mayor voting deadline is up, and Hinckley is the new mayor. You may now vote to lynch. With one vote! One of the quote in Hinck's story has different font size; am I reading too much in this? I guess Hinck copied the PM but whom was the original sender? Scouty right? Could he have modified one of his own PM before sending it to Hinck? Scouty, on 15 January 2013 - 09:43 PM, said: I'm not sure if you should contact shadows yet. Probably better we keep this between ourselves for the moment. This is definitely playing the game from pictures, but everyone else is doing this and I daresay it's encouraged. I don't think it's encouraged! Someone made a point yesterday that we were all meta-gaming but should not and I can't help to think this game was setup in a way that we would think we should meta-game but that doing so will lead us straight ot our demise.
Shadows Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Especially, since it appears that Shadows was converted, he'll say his plan foreshadows That's only when I'm using you to Jesus the town for a cult win and even then you briefly doubted you could have been used so badly until Amy confirmed that we planned it, at which point you said something hilarious that I ought to quote but for some reason I'll be kind and skip it. Seriously though, you don't think there's a cult again, do you? The funny thing is that I can't be converted and some of you out there know you can't be either, nor was I given any indication that I had been targeted (I wouldn't expect to be, naturally, since nothing happened). It does, at least, confirm my theory that the scum are idiots, you don't convert without investigating to determine you can and if the evidence presented is correct, we know that didn't happen since he was blocked the night before. That said, I have no problem supporting a lynch based on the evidence presented against Scouty, nor do I mind being watched, investigated or whatever else we have at our disposal, as a matter of fact, I hope you will because if it does turn out that he's scum, I'll have no real way to fight the lies that I've been converted unless those of you who can do so check me out tonight, so please do so. Thanks! Admit it; when you read Scouty's PM (or Hincks's quotes from him) you had Maniacal laugh thinking of how a scum was caught! I never once would have thought 'kekeke' during that, more like 'mwahaha', but to each his own, I guess. Vote: Scouty I guess Hinck copied the PM but whom was the original sender? Scouty right? Could he have modified one of his own PM before sending it to Hinck? Oddly enough, that is the quote that makes the least sense, as well. Why, if Scouty is scum would he contact Hinck unless he thought Hinck was scum and they could unite? If that's happening, as it appears to be, why would there even be any reason to discuss me? If I was scum, I would have to be on one of their teams, so individual contact wouldn't be necessary. That part really does seem out of place, when you think about it.
Piratedave84 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 It does, at least, confirm my theory that the scum are idiots, you don't convert without investigating to determine you can and if the evidence presented is correct, we know that didn't happen since he was blocked the night before. That however would prove difficult seeing that A) everyone is paranoid and only a few people are willing to talk openly B) the scum teams have no investigative abilities. The way I see this is that they have to convert by trial and error. Educate me a little bit here; what would happen if a PR would be converted? Would this person's ability be carried over to the scum team? another one; what if the SK was converted (if at all possible)?
Hinckley Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 That's only when I'm using you to Jesus the town for a cult win and even then you briefly doubted you could have been used so badly until Amy confirmed that we planned it, at which point you said something hilarious that I ought to quote but for some reason I'll be kind and skip it. Seriously though, you don't think there's a cult again, do you? *skips and taps in with an umbrella* Singin' in the rain, just being a pain, I could quote something from Amy, he said between him and me. You wouldn't be happy, So I'll just let it be. No reason to agree to a pissing match with thee. *skips and taps off in the rain with a click of his heels*
Shadows Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Educate me a little bit here; what would happen if a PR would be converted? Would this person's ability be carried over to the scum team? another one; what if the SK was converted (if at all possible)? PR's can't always be converted, but when they are, they usually lose their abilities. There's no absolute rule on that. A SK can only be converted in games with idiot hosts, which means it's impossible in this one.
Dannylonglegs Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Aww, the Banana man is gone. If it hadn't taken me so long to read over previous comments, I would have volunteered to play. You are Shadows, and people who don't pay attention will blindly agree with you, because you purport to be so wise. "It's true because Shadows said so" is how you get away with so much. People don't dare challenge you because you can frankly become quite unpleasant when you are challenged. I'm sorry, but Shadows never lies ever, and we all always have to Trust him completely. His word is law and stuff. Funny, that position is usually reserved for Jesus, it's how he got the reputation, he thoroughly earned it and it would be a shame for you to so casually give it to me when it isn't even vaguely the case. Seriously though, you've had no problem stating things as absolute facts when they aren't. As for people not daring to challenge me, look, you just did. I only get nasty when they're scum, I remember how annoyed you got with that the last time it happened. You speak the truth. Everyone knows you're always the scum godfather. You're not being sarcastic, right? As others have said, that's just as dumb as me claiming there can't be a cult because of the Town win-condition's wording. I was wrong, you may be wrong. Kekeke is a divisive laugh. It'd be usable by Scum or serial killers! And it's Korean too. Maybe I haven't been paying as much attention as I've wanted to, but I still think that the chandelier killer's the SK, and the chainsaw killer, the scum. Corny as a vig kill makes allot of sense to me, because, as you yourself noted, he'd be a likely target for the conversion, and not the scum kill. That said, I don't know for sure that the scum are the chainsaw killers--no one should--but I disagree with your so called "evidence" being conclusive in the least. I find your blind trust of Hinckley suspicious. Also why volunteer for a role that 1 out of 1 times ends up in that person being killed. Either your a naive townie to trust him when he won't reveal his supposed scum until tomorrow or your scum with him and you have a horrible poker face. It certainly seems to me much closer to the former (and unfortunately so.) At this point, there was no reason to doubt Hinck's claim from what he said, and it'd be beyond stupid/nooby for a scum to accidentally follow Hinck's words if that wasn't true. As for Hinck's magic "Scum find," I'm a bit more skeptic now that the cards are all face-up on the table. Honestly, this looks like Scouty trying to pretend to be scum in order to figure out if Hinck's scum. Sure he's got a convenient role-claim, but he's bizarrely vague and weird in the PMs. That doesn't look like what I'd expect a scum to say, and it actually heightens somewhat my suspicion of Hinck that he'd come out with this in the way that he did, but only slightly. He might have interpreted Scouty's actions differently, and this sort of thing is usually best decided by the public. I'd probably do the same thing as Scouty if I were in his position, but I'd probably throw in a "Savvy?" and sign it, ~O.G. ~Insectoid Aristocrat
Zepher Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 I'd say the case against Scouty would be open and shut. Except that in this sort of game it isn't, and here's why: Hinckley, you think that this Watcher may be trying to draw out Scouty by pretending to be scummy. You think he was trying to get information, right? Couldn't the same argument be made for Scouty? You think that he contacted two separate people (both you and the watcher) and acted all scummy? Think about it logically, he's looking for ONE team, so why would you act all scummy towards TWO people? That doesn't make any sense. I don't feel like I'm articulating my reasoning enough, but basically acting scummy towards two people would most likely result in a) them being a team (so it would have been unnecessary) or the only real alternative b) they're not a team and one of them is town and rats him out. So, I actually don't find Scouty that scummy from that evidence alone. I say before we place any more votes we both hear from him, see about that day killer, and consider a few other options. Best option really would be to investigate Shadows tonight, which would probably clear or condemn both him and Scouty.
Big Cam Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Convenient. Your whole day keeps coming back to someone who very clearly stated to me that you looked like scum or at the very least weren't behaving normally (she even speculated that it could be your SK game) and she's dead. Her death didn't make a lot of sense to me when I first read it, given that she was already suspected and would have probably had a hard time surviving today, but now it's becoming crystal clear. The funny thing is that in all of our discussion of this game, she never seemed obsessed with the SK at all, so your conclusion that she must have been the psychiatrist only makes me that much more suspicious that you could have jumped to a wrong conclusion there and thought you needed her dead to protect yourself. To be fair, I know what your normal SK game looks like, I remember it all too clearly from your botched attempt to kill me in MC2, but I think you learned what metagame killing me gets you from your horrible failure in Ragnarok and wouldn't repeat that mistake so soon. Still, once a witch, always a witch. Mayor: Hinckley Survive the night and we'll know the truth. Well, I hope we can get a protector or watcher on Hinck tonight. Claiming you've caught a scum, then stating you're saving its reveal 'till tomorrow is just painting a huge target on yourself. Maybe that's what you're wanting? To lure out the scum? Hmm. I agree with what Shadow's said here too. Tied votes aren't exactly common now, it seems to me that this Mayoral role is being regarded as much bigger than it is. Instead of rambling on about the different combinations of scum and town in a tied vote and what implications they might have, I think it's quicker to say that I don't understand the fuss around the Mayor thing. As for my vote against Dwanky yesterday, with a few hours left in the day and not enough confidence in the Flare vote, I went with my gut. Playing with Draggy the past few games with him as scum, his behaviour seemed all to familiar. Today has changed my opinion in that regard, he's been helpful enough. Other people I suspect... as Pandora highlighted, Zepher's reminders that the scum can't contact each other and how we can use that against them, as if we don't know – and so boldly stated, almost seem as if he's trying to reach out to them. It's the most suspicious thing to me. To pitch in with the kill modi operandi, my natural thought was that there are 3 separate killers. The chandelier kill distinctly lacked a kill figure, whereas the caped cut-throat was presented for all to see. They can't be the same. I wonder, would a serial killer end a kill with "Rest in peace"? Seems more vigilante-ey to me. Actually, Shadows voted Hinck for mayor. It's kind one of the big topics on this page. But if you're volunteering, then Mayor: badboytje88 By the by, you can vote for yourself there, badboy who is a girl for some reason. The mayor voting deadline is up, and Hinckley is the new mayor. You may now vote to lynch. With two evenly voted candidates, how did you come to this conclusion?

Scummies, Run away! My friends, we see the Scum running run a run, running Scum away! Zepher, you believe There's a day killer? That's naive Or Scummy! Scum run a run a run, Scummy run away! There's a great big problem with the story Run Scummies Run The watcher wouldn't have seen our quarry Run Scummies Run If Shadow is not covert-able How could the watcher see the notable? Run run a run a run Scummies, run away! Back to Zepher and his theories, Run Scummies run! The part that really makes me weary is Run Scummies run! If Scouty was trying to "draw Scum out" why the fake day killer story, Scout? Run run a Scummies, run! Scummies run away! *20's dance break*
Nightshroud99 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 With two evenly voted candidates, how did you come to this conclusion? Maybe because the first vote was cast against Hinckley.
Zepher Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Hincklette sure is acting as if he knows a lot of information we don't. We're on Day Two. How can you be so sure Scouty is scum and that there's no day killer and that Shadows has been converted? These seems like a lot of assumption on little evidence. Why not give them a night to be investigated, and condemn or clear them both? I doubt a converted member could be a godfather, so we're likely to get Shadow's real alliance. You were going to save your findings for tomorrow, so why are you afraid to wait the night and have them investigated? Or, hell, as I said, wait to see if there's a day kill. Or at least hear what Scouty has to say. I didn't say I wouldn't vote for him, just wanted to hear some more and see some more beforehand. Assuming there is a day kill that we haven't seen yet, and Scouty is the only one who can protect against it- well, needless to say it wouldn't be so hot to lose him, unless you want the (potential) day kill to be unblockable. Honestly, why would he make up a day kill blocking action when we haven't seen a day kill yet? It doesn't sound like a smart ploy, it sounds like a truth. Maybe it was directed against you the first day and he saved your big behind and now he's getting screwed over by you.

Yes that Scum is now out, His story seems to pre-empt the watcher if he's quarry And comes clean! Tomorrow, tomorrow The watcher's Scouty's sorrow His story, we have to glean Day Killer? No, day killer, his words sound like filler in case the watcher....coooooooooooooooooomes..........cleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean! *tappity tappity tap tap tap* *oh2* *red hair, red wig* Today, Today! Why'd Zepher edit his post? Today I do believe he is toast! *dances, tappity*
Zepher Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Did I? I believe I just posted twice in a row because I realized I had more to say. They merge if you do it quick enough... Mr. Admin.
