I had a EUREKA moment after trying to figure out how to drive three functions using two motors, use a differential of course! :wink:Small mock up of my idea on LDD:

A Small Idea for 3 Functions driven by 2 Motors by legomuppet9, on Flickr

Red = Drive

Green = PTO

Blue = PTO on/off switch

Yellow = Steering

I'm hoping that when the steering goes to the extreme, it will turn the differential thus turning the switch. similar idea to what zblj used on his dump truck

I can't remember of anyone else using this idea sorry if I have missed anyone...

Thoughts on this? will it work? (I don't access to my Lego till Friday :sceptic:)

That is a quit clever bed tilting function, and now I am have two thing to study doing my next build of my über 8110, first if it possible to get a air tank and a pf switch in the normal battery room. And secondly if there is enough Space below the bed to implement the tilting and the big pf xl for drive.

Btw. as my old YT video in the unimog thread show it already got pneumatic tilting but I ain't that happy with, mostly because it to weak compare to the rest of the truck. With can have a soda can(330mL, which the bed can't even lift) placed also most everywhere without the off setting the balance so much that normal operation become impossible.

Update: After a simple eye measurement it seem it can't fit, not even I shortens the beam:(

Come to think about it, it would like to know the max force one can apply both in and out going to a mini LA. Because I could tried and make and equal powerfull solution of consisting of a mLa and a PF L :grin:

BTW. The main problem is my time and I dont yet have any mini LA's :hmpf_bad:
