5 Bilbo figures isn't enough? priorities :sceptic:

Meh, one should have been Old Bilbo. I don't think anyone is realistically saying it will or even should be included in the new sets, just noticing that it hadn't been made yet.

how can we have 5 but no old Bilbo, it would be a great thing to get with dvd or book or something, it also links the hobbit with lotr

you mean the complete edition?

if they do that, consider me annoyed. pretty sure that isn't happening though, which is why I was saying this probably isn't an option. Don't see how they could provide a promo minifig for DLC ;)

Lego Hobbit/LOTR could also get a DK book eventually. That would be a great opportunity to include an Ian Holm Bilbo minifig.

...or that could be where we finally get a Gondor soldier :cry_sad:

Also, I would prefer if we had the option to get tons of Gondor Soldiers without needing to spend a fortune. One soldier in a $15 or 20 book would make this near impossible. This is why I wish we had gotten 1 Gondor Soldier in the Black Gates set then Lego would of also released them in a polybag available for mass purchase at TRU like the Mirkwood Elf and Lake-town Guard.

I thought they had only covered the first 2 movies in the first Hobbit game, no? Doesn't that preclude that they have to make a 2nd Hobbit game? Kinda like they did for Indiana Jones.

No, there will be a free download to add the last movie to the game you already bought.

Considering they charge for the costume DLC packs I figured they would also be charging for the third movie DLC pack.

Has is been confirmed that it's going to be free?

I'd much rather have Faramir.

The problem is a DK book would need to cover the full range of Middle Earth sets. Both Hobbit and LotR. Old Bilbo would be a great match for that. Or yet another Gandalf. Faramir less so.

No need for that at all. Youre just making up your own rules.

Noone said it would be free. you already got a full games worth of levels. noones owed anything.

...and who said anything about "being owed anything"? I'm starting to think you make a point to be rude/negative in your replies. Pretty annoying tbh...

The DK books generally need a certain number of sets or figs to fill them. Just from eyeballing it it seems to be around 3 years or 5-6 waves worth of material in order to justify a book. That is why I assume that any book would need to incorporate both sub themes. Now they don't need to have a figure that is inclusive to both sides. Heck it could be something completely off the wall. But for the books they tend to go more for obscure variants of main character rather than more obscure characters. At least for the licensed theme books.
