jerryyao Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hello, anyone. I am new guy for EB, and a AFOL. Here to bring you the pictorial review for the set 9398 crawler. This review will include 4 models, 2 from official release, 1 from Efferman and 1 from Jovel. The latter 2 I copied from the BS, detailed the one from Jovel, so you can reach the BS link I attached as well. OK, here we go. Efferman and Jovel: I am no offense to copy your models, just like your design! LEGO 9398 4x4 Crawler Theme: Technic Year: 2012 Pieces: 1327 Box size: 58 x 48 x 9 cm Weight: 2.81Kg The bags: Strange bag of number 1, only contain few parts. Numbers of photo for the Chassis, front axle and rear axle: Model 1 assemblied, with customed LED lights. Some photos from outdoor: Model 2 the truck: Now it is time for Model 2, copied from Jovel. The instruction he provided does not include the new motor and new parts, you may find the key steps in my BS fold. The original link from Jovel: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=510432 The copied link by me: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=518145 Model finished. heathen666 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 What lights did you use? I got hold of some power function lights and they were no where near as bright as yours! Or did you just long expose the photos? Quote

Therion Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) I built Jovels model last weekend, but I had a problem with putting the wheels on. The rear wheels are meant to go on an axle, but I couldn't get the axles to go through the wheels. After inspecting them, I found that in 3 of the 4 wheels, there were some plastic thingies blocking the axles to go entirely through. I can get them in by aprox. 1 stud from both ends just fine, but no further than that. Did anyone notice this too? Edited February 25, 2013 by Therion Quote
