jiskpirate Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Perfect! Beautifull! I want that original set, but this is good to ;) Quote
ManInATopHat Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Looks good so far Bonaparte! Can't wait to see how it turns out! Might I recommend adding an armoury, packed with muskets and gun powder? Might be a nice touch, but it's your MOC! Quote
BrickPerfection Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Quite a good idea to build something different then ships I really like how similar the overall appearance is to the original set; very classic! The rock looks sound too. I'm curious to see this progress. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 1, 2013 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 1, 2013 After some delay, here's an update of my WIP fortress: Quote
Brickington Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 This looks amazing! Are you predicting the redcoats to win the ToR? Me being picky, I still think you could add may items to the rock to make them less ugly. But other than that, I wish I could build something as amazing as this. Great job! Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 1, 2013 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 1, 2013 Me being picky, I still think you could add may items to the rock to make them less ugly. That's a good point. The rock needs more attention, I agree. That's on my to do list! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 1, 2013 Governor Posted March 1, 2013 It's not big enough! Get ZCerberus in here to show you how its done. Quote
Nefarious Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Brilliant design. :) The courtyard is great and the walls look awesome! Quote
Grimmbeard Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 This is getting better and better! yes some more rock work would be nice, along with more dock, in my opinion. Shame it's a redcoat fortress, but awesome job! Quote
Artifex Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Wow, it looks awesome! What a great MOC!!! I hope you go for the Imperial trading Post next! *crossing fingers* Quote
Mark of Falworth Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Brilliant work! Has a great classic style to it! Quote
Sebeus I Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Nicely done! Filling it with redcoats isn't exactly accurate to the original set I think . I actually like the use of burps/lurps, nowadays people shoot me when I use those or raised baseplates, something about being lazy and not up to standards . Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 That looks great, I'm looking forward to see it in the flesh next week. Quote
Captain Settle Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Fantastic MOC. Can't wait to see the finished product. Quote
Marquis Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Very beautiful work! The fort turned out accurate and functional. Photos are pleasant for a look. P.S. More photo is necessary! Quote
Evil Porkchop Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Just truly, truly impressive. This is the perfect update and homage to one of the best lego sets ever. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Very impressive fortress, with great attention to detail. I look forward to you expanding the fort more underground. On a side note I would change that brown flag pole as it looks like a missile with a flag stuck on top. Quote
Pavel Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 I'm absolutely loving it! There is nothing better than the old classic style of Lego Pirates. Are you going to further develop / enlarge your island? Quote
Dreamweb Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 That's some great tribute to one of the true classics! The similarity is undeniable and all the details are great. Excellent job! Quote
BrickPerfection Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Do you have a more recent update including the improved rocks? I am very fond how your MOC is looking so similar in its appearance to the original set; you've captured that very well! Quote
