Guys, this isn't EXO-FORCE versus NINJAGO. Back on topic before this gets out of hand please.

Discussion of a sticker regarding EXO-FORCE in a NINJAGO set is OK, but this is too far.

I don't think anyone was arguing about who is better, we were all just imagining how epic it would be to see two titans battle. Nonetheless this Sentai mountain sticker so far is only a little Easter egg for our amusement. I do hope they continue this futuristic look as I have never wanted to purchase the entire Ninjago wave until now.

Awww, that's a shame. Didn't get the 'copter, I got the Kai Fighter and the Hover Hunter though. Also, it seems TARGET hasn't updated the set names. While the correct names are on the boxes, the tags on the shelves call the Hover Hunter "Nindroid Ambush" Overborg Attack "Bike Chase" Thunder Raider "Jay + Cole Hybrid" etc. Forgotten the other names, unfortunately.

I found the tag for the Nindroid MechDragon was 'Overlord Dragon.' Might mean nothing but it is interesting. Seeing as though the other names slightly reflected their respective sets somewhat...

I doubt it means anything now. This isn't much of a spoiler, so I won't use tags, but if you don't want to know anything before the new season airs officially airs don't read this.

The Overlord is "done with mortal bodies" and given the... constraints, of technology, as evidenced by Episode 2, it's well within reason to assume that the Overlord only created the Mechdragon just to capture Lloyd and act as a sign of militaristic superiority.

I have doubts we will be getting the overlord as a set in 2014, but I can see the Mechdragon as a possible last resort body thus indicating that we have one of the Overlords forms, its just speculation but I can see the usefulness

since the nindroids and there mechs absorb Lloyd's energy.

It would actually be pretty cool if we got various forms of the overlord as different sets for every year.

No. Just no. The plot is set up specifically so that the Overlord will return. Like Garmatron and that. It's the epic build-up to a climax, heroes fail, evil wins but good wins in the end. That's how it's always worked in NINJAGO, and the original plot was actually stretched across the ENTIRE first three years of NINJAGO, although somewhat water down for Season 2. It's a clear pattern, and I expect LEGO not to deviate from it, else it ruins the idea of a climax. "Bad guy on the run, good guys winning all their fights" is not the most brilliant example of a major build-up to a climax

I think JayWalker's comment was accidently misplaced. Now I don't mean to offend, but no one here was not talking about the sets and/or the mini-figures. Don't let the inclusion of show references confuse you, the main focus in everyone's comments is still set info and personal opinions on the sets.

You do realize this subborn pursuit of yours not only has nothing to do with this topic, but you are intentionally steering away from this forums topic subject, discussing Ninjago 2014. Let people discuss however they want, if we want to link the show to the sets, we have all the freedom to do so.

Allow me to continue our discussion, being that Nindroids are military based, I would hope TLG would create more artillery based sets in the rebooted wave 2, if there is any.

Anyway, I picked up the Cyrus Borg set the other day, and while the vehicle build was a little disappointing and gimmicky, but I have to say I love the figures, and am really impressed with the attention to detail LEGO is bringing now.

At first glance, the Cyrus Borg or Overborg minifigure looked very disturbing to me but very detailed nonetheless. Anyway, does the spinning blades on the tank-bike actually function as well as the hover hunter's front saw blade, or was it a rather failed gimmick?

They spin pretty well, but they'll be the first second (I already removed the arms from the mecha chair and attached them to Cyrus instead, oops) thing I axe from the rebuild

Glad to know, I was very curious about that, and a very intriguing idea you got there with the mecha arms. I will be doing the same thing, hopefully rebuilding the tank-bike to a more slender smooth build.

Arguing with a mod over something like this is not a good thing if you'd like to remain a member here. I'd like this to be the last word on the subject. Please do not reply to this.

A moderator who is stubborn and does not listen to the community isn't a good modarator either. ;)

But if Peppermint says it has no place here, well, I can continue to disagree or not. My own point is that splitting threads is that it fills the forum more with double postings since there is an overlap. Just like I promote ressurecting old threads instead of making a new one with the same subject.

Wow, honestly that's ridiculous, a moderators job is to help and improve forums not dictate discussions. If ruffling there feathers is all that it takes to get banned from this forum, then I will personally leave myself. That is all I have to say on the matter.

Now I would like to continue the earlier discussion over the December/2014 Ninjago wave we have and speculate on what could be in summer of 2014.

Anyway, on topic, I'm really looking forward to picking up some of these sets. The technological look of all these sets make this wave of Ninjago the first wave I will get!

The only thing I really like from the new wave are the hairpieces to be honest. Set wise the Cole-Jay one still looks best.

I am rather taken with the new scarves/bandannas. They look very useful for figure building.

The General Cryptor armor piece is one of the nicest I've seen. It allows for all the connections of the ZX armor (katanas/katana+stud) and it has excellent detailing.

Speaking of new pieces, I am very eager to see how TLG will use this new triangle A-piece in future Ninjago sets. So far it has made great detail for nindroid gliders and the thunder raider's missile shielding covers.
