So, if he's supposed to be a good guy this year, will he still have 4 arms in whatever set he's included with?

Doubtful, since at the end of the last season of the TV show he was restored to his human form. You can see his human form on the cover and preview pages of the eighth graphic novel, which is set in between the last season and the upcoming story arc. Note though that the costume he wears in the season finale and the graphic novel is merely a palette swap of Sensei Wu's black robes from the 2011 sets, and not necessarily the costume he will be wearing in next year's sets or media.

EDIT: Also, I was just checking Amazon for new LEGO books and found that we have a title and description for the tenth Ninjago graphic novel! The title is "The Phantom Ninja", which immediately made me curious about its plot. Sure enough, the character of "The Phantom Ninja" seems to be the same character who was introduced almost two years ago in Greg Farshtey's Cole chapter book! I'm very impressed that he is revisiting this character rather than just abandoning him entirely, and hopefully this story will mesh alright with the previous adventure he was featured in.

In contrast, the description for the ninth graphic novel is amazingly vague. It could be a side-story featuring the foes from next year's sets or a story featuring an entirely new foe created with this book in mind.

Interesting. Something tells me Zane is going to do a "sacrifice to save everyone" next year. Judging by some of the descriptions I'd say Lloyd loses his powers or the Nindroids are made of the substance elemental powers cannot harm. Whatever the Serpentine Fortress was made of, at least.

Interesting, but the chances of that are slim, just because the idea of that is a bit more "dark" than the typical LEGO theme's story (although Bionicle did it).

*Shrug* He's a robot. He can do his noble sacrifice thing and then they can just rebuild him or something.

I still really want to see the rest of the sets, though. I'm actually excited, and I don't even regularly pick up Ninjago sets!

Not exactly. Zane may be a nindroid, but he is still very unique. He had to go through training with the other ninja, he has to eat, etc. Not to mention he spent some 10-30 years with Dr Julien learning "how to be human". And then there's the matter of his powers, and other things.

Still, I think some people will be glad to hear of Nya becoming one of the ninja. As good as that would be, I am unsure of how it would work, exactly. Nya said that she was content with being a Samurai, and while Ice is one of her "main" elements she certainly would not fit as the new ninja of ice. Guess we have some things to look forward to?

Well, according to this site, the smallest set is $10 (fantastic price, and I hope it's as good as the $10 Kai's Fire Mech from this year), the Ninjacopter set is $50, and the Mecha Dragon set is $80. Like most websites, it seems they forgot about the seventh set, 70726 The Destroyers. I'm guessing that one is a particular retail exclusive.

If the Dragon is 80... Let's hope the MechaDragon is as awesome as the Lightning Dragon. And speaking of exclusives, if the Destroyers set is going to be one I hope it proves as awesome as some of the exclusives Ninjago has had in the past.

Just saw small images of the new sets, including the Ninjacopter and the Nindroid Dragon.

The Dragon (70725) - WOW, looks really big and cool, just like on the promo poster. It's mostly black and white, with some purple. The head is indeed brick-built, at least partially. Big saw blades on the wigs. It's legs look sturdy and quite different from the rest of the dragons. The set comes with at least two nindroids, Lloyd and what seems to be a little (but not goofy looking) buggy for our green ninja.

The Ninjacopter (70724) - meh, looks like an unused design from Galaxy Squad. The promo poster (it's the vehicle on the right) does a good job representing its aesthetics, so don't get too excited. :/

I don't know which set he comes in, because the pics I saw were small and the minifigs mostly unrecognizable.

Where did you see these pictures? The retailer catalog, or some website that we can view? :P

Thanks very much for the news.

Pic leakers, Y U No Leak Pics? I'm dying to hear if we get any new minifigures from the show. Misako is on the top of my list even though Darreth is more likely.

Don't forget human Garmadon, I would love a human Garmadon. Also Zane's father seems likely.

I looked at them once more and... now I'm sure Zane is included in the Ninjacopter. The set also includes another named character with grayish hair - the overall shape of the hairpiece makes me think of human Garmadon or Misako. The Nindroid Dragon seems to include a redesigned Sensei Wu (some dark colors)...

Wait, you have access to them as you wish?

I'm not asking for pics, unless they don't have the watermark or you're not sworn to secrecy or whatever.

Anyway, back (more or less) on topic, I like the design of the Ninjacopter. It seems like a VTOL except the rotors are attached directly to the sides of the "copter"

Well, let's say that if you have any questions about the sets, I can try and ask them.

What color were the legs of the grey-haired character?

Also, was there a brown themed (colored) minifigure in one of this sets (Darreth if you follow the show)?
