LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Samurai huh? This COULD be the re-arrival of our friend Nya... Also, happy 26th page...:) Quote
Mandate Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 After the disappointment of the Chima song and "Born to be a Ninja," I'm afraid to click on that Well, disappointments for me, at least Quote
horizon Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 On the license & cartoon work and such: Ninjago was the third best selling line of Lego in 2012 (after city & star wars), the whole Ninjago line from the beginning was a major succes to Lego. The show was well anticipated (and well written!). I think both Lego and cartoon network would have no issues with Ninjago going on, even if it touches TMNT on scope. For Lego Ninjago will be more important anyway. I mean, Ninjago was meant to end, then we got the new Nindroids because of the small stone wave being more succesfull then the heavily backed Chima series. And now we also know there will be a Ninjago Cinema movie in 2015! Quote
Takanuinuva Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) What the megablock does that video have to do with Ninjago! Edited November 11, 2013 by Takanuinuva Quote
Gatanui Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 then we got the new Nindroids because of the small stone wave being more succesfull then the heavily backed Chima series. Where did you get that from? -Gata Quote
Aanchir Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I mean, Ninjago was meant to end, then we got the new Nindroids because of the small stone wave being more succesfull then the heavily backed Chima series. This is false. The decision to continue Ninjago was made and announced before the year 2012 even ended. It had nothing to do with sales of 2013 sets, whether from Legends of Chima or any other theme. The reason was probably because sales of the 2012 sets were stronger than the LEGO Group's initial projections, and because viewership of the show's most recent season remained high. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Chima/TMNT or not, I am just glad the Ninjago line is continuing along with the t.v. series. Earlier the other day, I discovered Amazon is currently selling the nindroid mechdragon. Quote
Faefrost Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I'm watching the TBS review of the Mechdragon, and I noticed one of the more interesting things about it. Those A shaped plates that are used for the gliders. Am I wrong in thinking those are new? Those look like they have some awesome MOC possibilities. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I believe the A-shaped pieces are all new design along with the dragons feet. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 The new "A" pieces as you called them, are all over the place in Ninjago this year. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Another interesting thing...Toy"r"us took down there ninjdroid mech dragon page...LEgo also put there pages back up. Quote

I noticed that myself. Makes me wonder if Toysrus was even allowed to sell december/2014 sets. I can guess it could take sales away from LEGO if ppl are getting there sets earlier and cheaper from another retailer. I'm just glad i managed to buy the mechdragon early, if this is the case. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Down time for Ninjago...no trailer, no new info, no new pics...Still no sets... Quote
PenPlays Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Down time for Ninjago...no trailer, no new info, no new pics...Still no sets... No. There's a trailer (-ish). This is the video CM4S was trying to upload earlier this week. It's finally available and gives us a look at Overborg, the Mechdragon, and Pixal. Edited November 14, 2013 by Penkid11 Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) Bless you Penkid11. From the looks of it, Ninjago city either has a smog problem or its smoke caused by destruction(possibly a nindroid take-over), glad to see another female character added, Pixal looks interesting. Cyrus Borg looks to be the main villain this season, the mechdragon looks great, very menacing. I'm very curious about general Cryptor, too bad not much was shown about him and at 1:51, sensei Wu is not evil(possibly only for the first episodes). And yes, very tingly inside Edited November 14, 2013 by Merc4hire95 Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) That's awesome, alittle over a month away...super excited now! Where did you find this? Where you see Pixal? Edited November 14, 2013 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 That's awesome, alittle over a month away...super excited now! Where did you find this? Where you see Pixal? Pixal is only shown from behind, but she is in the scene right after the smoky Ninjago city, and it appears she is working on Cole's earth mech, I'm assuming based off the small computer screen. LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Same here, I see it now, looked like Garamdon the first time I saw it and was alittle confused. Quote
Aanchir Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 That video was pretty cool, although it definitely had some accuracy issues (it called Ninjago an island when if anything it's more of a continent, and the Skeleton Army and Serpentine aren't technically the Overlord's forces even if he had a hand in the Serpentine's creation). That music towards the end was interesting; I wonder if it'll be part of the musical score for the upcoming season of the show. Quote
DraikNova Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 That music sounds pretty awesome. I'm going to guess that's the reboot's leitmotif/theme song (depends on whether they use this music for just one season or more). Anyway, the Borg Tower seems quite menacing. And whatever is that spider-ish thing at 1:36? Quote
Aanchir Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Anyway, the Borg Tower seems quite menacing. And whatever is that spider-ish thing at 1:36? Pretty sure that's the OverBorg's walking chair from 70722, but with some glowing eyes added. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 (edited) The music fits perfect, and definitely gives that "rebooted" tone there going for. I'm most amazed at how well it transitioned from the mythological world of ninjas vs the supernatural to this Exo-Force-like futuristic technological world of ninjas vs nindroids. In short, I love it! Edited November 14, 2013 by Merc4hire95 Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I agree, the transition makes since, and is thought out well! Quote

Toy's R Us normally does have a slight lead time built into their contracts with TLG. I'm guessing it might be around 2 weeks. This probably does vary with Licensed sets however, which are often governed by hard street dates. And my local Lego store manager confirmed the Lego stores will have Ninjago, The Hobbit and new City sets out on Dec 1. So we may start seeing them at TRU any day now. New music has kind of a Daft Punk Tron type feel to it. Not bad. Edited November 14, 2013 by Faefrost Quote
