Freddy Bricker Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I've read many comments about Nya's video revealing some interesting things. Whenever I go on Lego.com or Lego shop @ home, I can't go anywhere BUT the page I went on, for some reason I can't check "page 2" of the Legends of Chima shop @home, same for Star Wars, and I can't check any Ninjago videos after clicking on one, and since Nya's isn't on Ninjago's home page, can someone please provide a link? I don't want to be a nuisance, but I am really curious to see what it is you are all talking about. So when providing the link, can you please ensure the link is to Nya's video, and not the homepage. Thanks in advance to anyone who could provide it to me, Lego.com has been acting weird lately and telling me to go on the website will do no good, so I would be glad if any of you would be kind enough to provide the link. ToaJaller78 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 That's strange that Target employees have been rejecting customers of Ninjago sets. Here in Southern California Target I managed to pick up the Thunder Raider and Overborg attack sets without any problems. That's because today is December 1st. Quote

Its mainly Nya and other girls admiring a hologram of Cole that surrounded by hearts, then Nya being impressed by Cole's physical strength when he lifted some kids on each arm while posing and the final bit has Cole reading a comic book while Nya enters the room and drops all the magazines/books she was carrying. That's because today is December 1st. What's odd is that I purchased the sets earlier this week on Weds. Quote

Interesting video but like the only other one I saw (Kai's) it just seems like a whole bunch of footage from season's 1 and 2, and then some. Do we know when the new season will air? I missed out on most of season one, so hopefully I can catch up with that before Rebooted airs. Quote

Same here, the footage looks like its taken out of context and made to appear that Nya has the "hot's" for Cole. Personally I prefer the relationship Nya and Jay already have but I can see the show taking that route with the characters. From my knowledge on the show, there has been no official premiere date news except for that it will air in 2014. I imagine the show will start by early to mid-January since Chima has its season finale in December. Point is you got time to watch season 1 without rush. Edited December 2, 2013 by Merc4hire95 Quote
just2good Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 This is interesting... From Barnes and Nobles, for the tenth graphic novel: A factory in Ninjago Village is under siege by an unstoppable new menace, with the beloved mayor and his daughter held hostage! Only Nya, Jay, Cole, and Kai — the Masters of Spinjitzu — can save the day . . . or are they? Much to the brave warriors' astonishment, a new gray ninja is on the scene! Is the Phantom Ninja friend or foe, and will his reckless fighting style sabotage the rescue mission before it even starts? Will the Summer sets, if there are any, include a gray ninja? Also, where's Zane and Lloyd? At least Nya is there, so we're even more likely to get her in the Summer wave. Quote
horizon Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 This is the 2nd time Lloyd isn't mentioned in the team. So I guess Lloyd is on tour with Garmaddon. And Zane is dating Pixal. But seeing Nya mentioned is pretty cool. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) For a character that has been the most important being in the Ninjago universe, it seems very odd that Lloyd is "touring" Ninjago during the revival of the Overlord. Just speculation, but what if he isn't touring, but rather he is missing. The mechdragon has a prison cell that is also some sort of power core that uses Lloyd's powers for energy/power etc. The 2014 teaser, trailer, character vids, and now books have Lloyd missing. His only appearance so far has been in the most valuable sets the Overborg Attack and the Nindroid Mechdragon. This is all just speculation but this mystery has got me hooked. Definitely got my fingers crossed for a Phantom ninja fig. Edited December 2, 2013 by Merc4hire95 Quote
Mandate Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Sorry Just2Good, that's been information we've known for a while now. Given that the Nindroids outmatch Zane in insane ways (from the Bios page) I wouldn't be surprised if Zane makes his departure. Also, the "Phantom Ninja" has been around since 2011, he's so far made a digital and book appearance, or at least a book appearance, if Neido from LU is not him. Merc4hire, I can agree with you on that. If Rebooted does take place a few years after the Final Battle, then it makes no sense why he would be still touring NINJAGO. But also, the Bios reveal another hint: he's a danger to the world now with his powers, and Garmy's trying to raise him properly now. Which is a bit odd, because though he is really only twelve-ish he's also older than the other ninja now. In case anyone is wondering how, when the ninja were turned into kids they couldn't do spinjitzu, whereas Lloyd could. If Tomorrow's Tea made everyone grow up the same amount, it makes Lloyd the oldest because he was old enough to do spinjitzu already. Quote

If Tomorrow's Tea made everyone grow up the same amount, it makes Lloyd the oldest because he was old enough to do spinjitzu already. Neido is an Imagination Ninja (may LU rest in blissful peace ), and possibly non-canon as the entirety of the Lego Universe Ninjago story puts everything out of whack. I have never taken the Lloyd-is-older-because-he-can-still-use-spinjitzu-in-Child's-Play theory into consideration, but I'd also like to say that he is the chosen Green Ninja, meaning that he could have developed his powers early due to his advanced amount of Spinjitzu power. Or that because of his destiny, he always had his power, but had to only implement it into fighting. I mean the kid barely trained before he spun into a tornado when fighting the Pirates (I still want them 'in the plastic' if I may also note) in Pirate's vs. Ninja. I also think Lloyd is due for a new, older, and more masculine sounding voice for Rebooted, but that's a discussion for the TV show thread in the Culture and Multimedia subforum. Quote
Mandate Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 No, Lloyd is roughly around the same age as the other ninja anyway, so it would make little sense for a new voice. Anyway, could someone do a translation on the Japanese symbols on the Earth Mech, etc? I looked up if it might literally translate to "Earth Mech" but it doesn't. Any help? Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I would also like to point out that the books don't reflect the show very well. I agree that it's weird that we don't know where Lloyd is. But on the front page of the New Website, we see Lloyd in his Golden Ninja Garb, while the other four have the "Techno Suits". Quote
Aanchir Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Some of the bios on the new Ninjago site sort of hint at the possibility that Lloyd's travels are part of some father-son bonding experience between him and Sensei Garmadon. It certainly would explain why we haven't seen Sensei Garmadon in any of the trailers either. If the episodes give us some really heartwarming B-stories about Lloyd and his father to accompany the A-stories about the rest of the Ninja, words cannot express how happy I will be. On that note, has anyone noticed just how many of the details in the new character bios are designed to be humorous or heartwarming? I quite like that. Those sorts of things are a good reminder that beyond the epic fight scenes portrayed in the sets, the series also has a lot of heart. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I'm looking forward to a good year of Ninjago. I'm pretty sure we'll be getting a wave 2 come spring/summer. What about Misako...where did she go? Quote

What about Misako...where did she go? If I had to guess, I'd say with Lloyd and Sensei Garmadon. I do not expect her to appear in the sets, personally, since most secondary characters who appear in the sets are designed for that purpose before appearing in the show. But then again, LEGO could surprise us. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Or if there is a new character dictionary... Quote
Aanchir Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Or if there is a new character dictionary... Even the visual dictionaries and character encyclopedias almost always include main character variants. That way even kids who aren't deeply invested in the theme's story and don't recognize the minor characters will still have a strong incentive to get the book. Just take a look and see for yourself. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Harry Potter, Harry Potter again, Batman, and Lloyd Garmadon. There are a few exceptions, like the LEGO Minifigures character encyclopedia, since that theme doesn't HAVE main or recurring characters, or the Yoda Chronicles guide book, which may or may not qualify since it isn't trying to tout itself as a character encyclopedia or visual dictionary. Quote
Merc4hire95 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I imagine wave 2 of rebooted, if we get one, would consist of location based sets(temples, Overborg tower, etc.), and maybe some vehicles for the Nya or the nindroids. Just speculating since all the ninja in this wave have vehicles or mechs, I cant imagine how much more they could make. As for the visual dictionary, once again if we get one, it could include a new Nya fig. Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Building Destructoid on LDD and I realized how bad the build was. The back is really exposed and overall doesn't look good. I have yet to see the sets in stores, though. -Sci Quote

I'm not entirely sure what else you were expecting from the pictures we had seen. Moreover, the set's selling points are primarily supposed to be its functions — specifically, the swinging blades on the front, the saw blade shooter, and the rotating cockpit. In this regard I'd consider it much better than one of the 2012 store exclusives, the Fangpyre Wrecking Ball, which was a very big set that didn't do a whole lot (there was a winch to raise and lower the wrecking ball, and the cab and crane could rotate on the treads, but that was about it). I've yet to have any REAL confirmation that Nya will appear in a set, but nothing is telling me no. This sounds a lot like a set description, and not a book. I would be beyond happy if we get a set with not 1, but 2 female characters, a building, and a new ninja! Of course this probably won't be made into a set and if it does, I doubt they'd put 2 girls in it. No matter what though, this was exciting news. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Has anyone tried adding printed legs from the other ninja suits to replace the solid colored legs on the newest ninja? To see if any match the best. Like adding the legs from Lloyd ZX to Lloyd from Overborg Attack Quote
