Thelegomaster Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I think its the Batmanmobile (with light glare on the poster) because the Bat Plane is above it. yep it is definitely a bat vehicle, blurry but you can kinda make out what it is Quote

Mandate Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 The problem with that all happening thousands of years ago is that at the very beginning of the TV show, when Kai meets him, Wu looks old (relatively, of course), but when Wu fought Garmadon (see The Battle Between Brothers, and when he talks to Kai about hiding the weapons), he looks young, and by your calculations that was less than ten years before. Of course, Lloyd was born some time before Garmadon fell, and that was certainly less than twelve years before Lloyd unleashed the Serpentine. So Ninjago is just all messed up with dates BTW, I think that I talked about this before with someone; the producers probably didn't expect anyone to bother to try to find out when it all happened Ah, I forgot one part of what I meant to say. Perhaps Wu and Garmadon only just started to age after Lloyd was born? I mean, Wu acted as if Garmadon knew who Pythor was in Episode 8, so I think it may be safe to assume that Pythor was around when the Great Devourer was locked away and simply forgot or never knew how to unlock it. He already knew he needed to unite the tribes, at least, otherwise he never would have released the Constrictai and Venomari. Whoever locked away the Serpentine (there were multiple people, Wu stated there were many flutes, and he and Garmadon would not have been careless with them) lived long ago, and probably died long ago too. I doubt people would have forgotten humanoid snakes walking around in a matter of decades XD That being said, it's unlikely BOTH of them started to age after Lloyd's birth, but both of them were roughly the same age, and it's not completely out of the question that Sensei's beard grew so long in ten years But in the end, given Lloyd's age it's the only sane conclusion. If the "Zane: Ninja of Ice" book is to be believed, then it is implied that the First Spinjitzu Master was fairly young when he had Wu and Garmadon. But then again, Garmadon also says he spent thousands of years in the Underworld, but, he could have been lying to further confuse Zane about whether or not Wu was to be trusted. Perhaps this should be discussed in a different thread? Quote
just2good Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Saw this on eBay... last guy to the top left is just a Wu custom, right? It's from the Czech Republic. Quote

Corydoras Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) On the Brick Fan website yesterday, someone snuck a photo of the City display. In the background of that photo was what I believe to be the X-1 Charger. For anyone else that saved the image, it looks like it is shown as a poster on the wall in the background. It is similar to Corydoras' description of the set. It looks like a F1 car though. Narrow body, red colour (but may have white on the sides...hard to tell) large open wheels with gold rims and what looks like some kind of large black spoiler/engine/turbine/missile launcher on the back of it. Corydoras also mentions a Nindroid with a jetpack and there appears to be a very blurry shot of just such a thing above the vehicle. I'm totally unsure of this though, since there is no signage in that area for Ninjago. Anyone else seen this? Corydoras, does my description match/jive with what you saw? Sadly, the reports from London Toyfair have all paid little to no attention to this theme..... No, no, no. That's not it. The car I saw was red with fiery stickers and a small black windscreen at the front. Even though the pic was blurry, I can say for sure that the design, despite having a Speed Racer vibe to it, flows perfectly with the rest of the fire-themed vehicles (Kai's bike, jet and mini mech, Nya's Samurai Mech). EDIT: Seems it's not Samurai X, as someone thought, but Kai driving the X-1 Charger. If you're interested in the figures in the Battle for Ninjago City set, it has: Overlord (?), 3 x Nindroid, Lloyd, Zane, Jay and Samurai X (and yes, it's definitely the new updated gear shown in her animation). LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) I know they are only prelims, but the ninja have new gear? I think soMe tech armor would be awesome! Edited January 23, 2014 by LegendsOfNinjago Quote

DraikNova Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Yes! New Nya fig. Also, is the X-1 Charger closer to the sleek style of the jet, or more like the grittier look of Nya's Mech? Quote
Corydoras Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Shiny high tech cabriolet, no "gritty" steampunk. Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 @Corydoras Thanks again for the information mate. Much appreciated. I'm guessing that you have ongoing access to the images and based on that I had a couple of additional questions if you don't mind? The Battle for Ninjago City Set: Thanks for the update on the included figures. But as for vehicles: are there any other vehicles in the set other than Zane's glider and the Overlord's tripod walker thingy? Ninja X-1: You mentioned the set comes with minifigs of Kai and 2 Nindroids. Is it just these 3 or is there any more? Also, you mentioned that the X-1 appears to have some sort of "transforming" feature. Are we talking about "flip-out" weapons, some kind of "Battle Mode" in addition to the sleeker, "Speed Racer" mode or a splitting function like the Thunder Raider/Mech set? Again, thank you for sharing the info that you have. All the best. Quote

Ninja X-1: You mentioned the set comes with minifigs of Kai and 2 Nindroids. Is it just these 3 or is there any more? Just these three. Hard to tell, the picture I saw was poor quality. The transformation mode is shown in the bottom right corner on the front of the box, but I have no idea how is this thing supposed to transform... I also have no idea if the car has a "battle mode" or turns into something completely different. The 2nd mode sure looks different, though - more like a tank or something. what figures are in the X-1 ninja charger other than kai? Two nindroids. Edited January 25, 2014 by Corydoras Quote
DraikNova Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 A zip line? Does it simply use string, or is it brick-built? Also, the idea of the car transforming into a tank-like vehicle is interesting, and sure increases my interest in that set. Quote
Starrocks923 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 You mentioned the X-1 Ninja Charger. What Nindroid varients are there? I don't want to buy it if possible-I've had the Kai Fighter for two full months now... Quote

The X-1 Charger is amazing! A muscle car with an ejecting motorbike!! The Temple is gorgeous as well! We get three Nindroids along with the (possibly) Overlord, as well as Zane, Lloyd, Samurai X and Jay (who was yet to be revealed until now). Pretty balanced, and it may just be the next Fire Temple! Original source is here and here. I'm not liking the small set at all. It looks really lame. The big set is okay, but the 2011 Temple was much better. Edited January 26, 2014 by just2good Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Thanks TheLazyChicken for these images! For some odd reason or another your link only showed me half of the set, so thanks J2g for the completed image. Can I just say, wow. The Battle for Ninjago city is just so, so, amazing! Is it possible to fall in love with a Lego set? I think I just did, and Nya my beautiful you're back! I can't wait to own this set. And as for 70727, I hate the regular build, but all I can think about the alternate model is "Power Rangers Must have!". I can't wait to own that set, but it won't be the actual car I'll be purchasing it for. Quote
Starrocks923 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 ...and Nya my beautiful you're back! Woah, trying to hit on a lady already confused about her feelings for two of the ninja? Ouch, cut that girl some slack! :P I never did get Nya's hair, since I got the Samurai Mech and Samurai X spinner. What's the cheapest way to get her hair in that color? Quote
