Commercial for the new sets:

Also, Tormentalous on Flickr posted a picture of this activity book which will be a cheaper way of getting the Zane minifigure from the Destructoid set. I plan to take a look at its contents once it's out (my LEGO budget for the year is already bursting at the seams, so any opportunity to save money is probably worth it), but the Destructoid is itself quite a cool set so I'll have to give it some thought.

I already own the Hover Hunter. And yes, I am focusing on the minifigures, as well as the actual contents of the set.

I'm seriously considering getting all of the Ninjago sets this year, rather than getting any HF sets. They're just too good to pass up!

Even sets like Destructoid, the Nindroid Mechdragon and Battle For Ninjago City look fantastic! And even though they are a little bit out of my price range, I still want to get them!

Does anyone know the UK price of Battle For Ninjago City? I need to know so that I can work out if I can afford all of the sets this year.

The Ninjago website has been updated in a number of ways. There's an X1 Ninja Charger product page, a Battle for Ninjago City product page, and an Overlord character page! The product pages include downloadable building instructions if you click the arrow next to the images all the way to the right. They're very high-quality — none of the colors are difficult to distinguish. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Check out the Overlord's delicious character art.

Today, I got the Kai Fighter set from my local Smyths. And I must say... For £18, this is a fantastic set.

The minifigs are very nice. Kai's new variation has rubber hair rather than plastic hair, similar to the Exo-Force human minifigures. General Cryptor is a very detailed minifigure and the main reason for why I wanted this set. Along with printed legs and a unique torso, he comes with his shoulder pads and katana holster, a typical Nindroid helmet and a unique face print, making him stand out amongst the other Nindroids.

The fighter jet itself is a wonderous sight in itself. The sleek body design and wings make it look quite similar to the fighter jets we see in the real world.

The set comes with two main fuctions: The ability to transform the jet into it's "Speed Mode" and the flick-fire missiles. To transform the jet into it's "Speed Mode", there's a lever that you can pull and push in order to switch between the two different modes. It's a very clever feature, and I have a feeling that the set designers were trying their best with coming up with such a well thought-out feature.

Overall, I would recommend this set to anyone who needs Kai, General Cryptor and a ninja vehicle for a cheap price. However, if you want more of a playset than just two minifigures and a vehicle, get the Overborg Attack set.

Picked up Overborg Attack recently, and wow, it's a fantastic set! The Overborg is so cool, and Lloyd's bike is very cute.

What do you guys think of the set?

I really love it, but my copy didn't come with a sticker sheet. It was a bit disappointing.

Does anyone have the Mechdragon? I'm quite curious about Nya's Car... Especially about the size of it.

I have it. The car is a decent size. About 17 centimeters long by 12.5 centimeters wide. The cockpit only fits a single minifigure, as with most Ninjago vehicles. Beautiful shaping. The flick missile function is brilliant — it sometimes misfires, but this happens less often after "wearing it in" a bit and getting used to how it fires (kind of the same way the function of 9442 Jay's Storm Fighter works more smoothly after wearing down the friction in the hinges).

I see it is at Sainsbury's at the moment for £11.99. Is that a good deal?

Amazon.com has a preliminary picture of the new LEGO Ninjago: Chronicles of Ninjago Handbook! Click here for full resolution. Apparently it includes a poster, in addition to a sneak peek at the next season of the TV show! Definitely something I'll be keeping an eye out for when it comes out next year. Not totally optimistic about it since it's by Tracey West, and her books rarely have unique stories or story info the way Greg Farshtey's do. But depending on the quality it might still be worth picking up.

Still waiting to find out what the Ninjago Visual Dictionary's exclusive fig is. Naya from the upcoming Friends Character Encyclopedia and Firox from the upcoming Chima Character Encyclopedia do not fill me with confidence — the former boasts no exclusive parts at all, and the latter just one or two (depending on whether the head is different from Frax's, or just the same head turned around to a different expression). At the same time, it would only take two new printed parts for it to include Nya's new costume, which is what I'm really hoping for. In any case, if those two books are anything to go by, we won't be finding out the Ninjago Visual Dictionary's exclusive fig until we're much closer to its release.

The titanium is in the battle for ninjago city. Well atleast so it is thought to be the suit Zane is wearing. I doubt it would be another version of Zane. I mean 3 versions is quite enough for one year. But 4 is pushing it.
