For an upcoming display i thought it would be cool to mount a small camera in the front of train and send that feed to an iPad we would have on display using either BlueTooth or a WiFi network. Does anyone have experience doing this?

If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, you can mount that on front of the train and perform a FaceTime call (over WiFi) to your iPad. It will look a bit weird, but hey, so do people taking pictures with an iPad :)

It could be possible with the right combination of apps - For example - there is a stop motion animation app for the ipad which you can connect to your iphone or ipod touch over wifi for the use of the camera.

otherwise you are going to be limited to whichever app you can find that will allow you to connect a third party camera for a live view.... maybe if there is an app for something like the GoPro or Contour over wifi that would work as well.
