Etzel Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 It took a while, but my entry for the Expand the Winter Village Contest III is finished, and in the nick of time too. I present: The Winter Village Log Cabin Light brick included to light up the fireplace. Pictures are links to my Flickr where you can see them in higher resolution. Thanks for watching! /Etzel Quote

PsyKater Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 *rrrr* How she is lying on that fur. What element id has this? Quote
THEBIGYINN Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 That is by far the best entry I have seen so far. Not sure that you are allowed that fur though, although the fun is the building, not the winning. Quote
Etzel Posted January 30, 2013 Author Posted January 30, 2013 *rrrr* How she is lying on that fur. What element id has this? x1870, one of my favorite parts. Quote
PsyKater Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 x1870, one of my favorite parts. I knew it was original. GREAT! Quote
-obelix- Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 What a great looking cabin! The interior and that chimney solution are so simple and so good. Truly an amazing job! Quote
Priovit70 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Great entry! That work with the logs is so beautiful! And the interior so full of details... not to mention the fur!! Good luck in the contest! Quote
UrbanErwin Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Love it! Especially the fur. I didn't knew that part. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Some big trees were felled to make that one eh ? Plus now she looks happy.....if she's happy he'll be happy right ? Wonderful log cabin 'Etzel'....good luck and Brick On in the snow or be the fireplace ! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Another great entry. The logs look fantastic. The interiors is equally fascinating. Including the fur was a smart move as it attracts attention, but when you imagine yourself seating on the fur rug, and your eyes start wondering around the walls, your even more impressed. I'd like to spend some holidays in cabin like that. :-) Good luck in the contest. Quote
Kristel Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 This is great. It looks like a very cosy cabin and I wouldn't mind sitting on that rug in front of the fire. I also like how you have done the tree. Well done! Quote
Artifex Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Awesome log cabin! It's absolutely amazing! Great design! You got some nice techniques there! That rug is a must! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Great build. I do love that tree a lot. I'm always looking for good tree designs, and this fits very well. I also love the window frames. The dark green and brown work well together, especially since it is a log cabin. The interiors are spot on for what I'd expect. Is there an inside joke with a beautiful woman on a rug down by the fire? Good luck in the contest. Quote
Luke Styer Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 This is my favorite building among the contest entries so far. Beautiful build! Quote
Hey Joe Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Really nice, you will surely have my vote. Wish Lego had combined Creator Log Cabin and Winter Village Cottage into something akin to this. Joe Quote
viracocha Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Very nice entry for the contest! It is stand out by some techniques you have used. But as for me there is not enough Christmas decorations! Beside two socks on the chimney! Quote

L@go Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 There's a lot to like here, but my favourite detail is definitely the chopped wood. Brilliant! Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 That's a great log cabin! My favorite part is the lamp next to the bed. Quote
pogie Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Love this moc! The staggered corners are awesome. I have been mulling log cabin techniques for a while but this blows me away. Very nice work. Quote
ManInATopHat Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Very nice! Love the bear rug and the log buildup of the cabin. Great job! Quote
