Posted January 31, 201312 yr Here is my entry for the Micro Sci-fi Contest. This is my representation of the central base of operations of the Mars Mission. It is complete with a hangar, science lab, watchtower, defensive center, living quarters and an Energy Crystal Silo. Not to mention a Pump-Vac Power Plant. (Sorry for blurry pics in advance) An Overview A view of the caves underneath being cleared for supports. Here is a view of the Science Labs, Defense Center, and Power Plant at the center, and the Energy Crystal Silo (angular tower) on the right. Unbeknownst to the Astros, a small alien hive has begun to take root beneath the mighty fortress. More pics of the building and pictures of the mini-vehicles (all of official sets, by the way) here on my Brickshelf (once open to public). C&C is always welcome! January 31, 201312 yr I think it's a stud too large, but anyway, those mini-bots look great, and from some angles, the buildings do too.
January 31, 201312 yr Author The MOC fits precisely within a 16x16 baseplate. No overhang. Also I have fallen in love with mini- vehicles. I'm thinking about tackling Dino Attack as it is a vehicle heavy series. Edited January 31, 201312 yr by Penkid11
January 31, 201312 yr Really neat micros, the base is excellent and the vehicles look great Nice touch with the alien hive as well
January 31, 201312 yr I like all the different levels, ramps, rooms, and platforms on this model, makes it feel like a Micro Machines playset.
February 1, 201312 yr hehe this is a great micro rendition! I really like how you added some height to the build with the ramp and the caverns. As 4est said, I have an urge to want to drive the buggies up and down the ramp My only suggestion is to use some tiling the top, at micro scale, those studs are a bit distracting.
February 1, 201312 yr Author Thank you all for the kind words. A link has been added to the first post leading to my Brickshelf. Once open you can enjoy the mini-vehicles by themselves, my favorite being the mini MT-201 Ultra Drill Walker.
