Posted February 3, 201312 yr I made some mod's to the dragster and want to change the front tires to be more accurate. I put the pulleys on there, don't know if there's a tire for this or maybe just need to find a thick small rubber band. Any ideas or suggestions on tire choice? Thanks! February 3, 201312 yr Looks good! I think the rear wing could be higher up though. Unless my memory is faulty, that s a feature of this type of vehicle. Since you're already modding...
February 3, 201312 yr Author Like this... http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/071/3/9/Top_Fuel_Dragster_Template_by_graphicwolf.jpg They do have small tires for the pulleys I thought I'd seen them before as well....to Bricklink I go! Quick mod to make rear wing taller...
February 3, 201312 yr You want http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=70162 as tyres for the pulley wheels.
February 3, 201312 yr I still like the 42010 stand alone racer, even though it has no steering control or suspension. The combo w the 42011 is rather odd looking IMO.
February 4, 201312 yr Nice work! It looks a lot more like a stereotypical dragster now. if you don't mind me saying, I do feel that the while the longer 'nose' section is entirely appropriate, it looks a bit 'bare'. While further back on the car there's a second beam coming down at an angle, it might look just that little bit more authentic if that beam was longer and thus reached further down the 'nose'. You've already made great improvements to the appearance and colour scheme of this model though, so it's already a success.

February 5, 201312 yr It does look better like that, but I also preferred the pulleys for wheels. I think they were more authentic in size.

February 5, 201312 yr You've turned a frankly mediocre model into something much better, in my opinion. I wasn't at all enamoured of the dragster combo model at first, but now... it's a completely respectable and nice looking model which I really like.

Thanks! The original model looked so ugly I almost didn't want to build it.
February 6, 201312 yr Author Better pic's with a real camera! Modified rear wing and made slightly longer. Edited February 6, 201312 yr by WR3KL3SS
