rongYIREN Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 (edited) Hello All! I put together a little Terror Bird Mecha... Some artistic Illustrations of Terror Birds - Pic One, Pic Two, Pic Three. Thanks for taking a look! And thanks to everyone who offered up their advice when this was a WIP rongYIREN Edited February 8, 2013 by rongYIREN Quote
DraikNova Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Wow. Very good LEGO-tized version of the prehistoric bird. The only bit that looks a little strange is the headcrest, which might work better if you replaced it with a couple of antenna-feathers. Quote
genecyst Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 man, this is really great. great details and great overall shape. If i haven't been clear enough, this is great. :D Quote
OneSetWonder Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 That is boss. Neck and legs look especially good. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Incredible work, the shapes you achieve blow me away Great work on getting a fig to fit in the cockpit as well Quote
DrLegostar Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 I'm in awe. And a little be terrified. I guess that's the point. Love the attention to detail. Quote

Incredible work, the shapes you achieve blow me away Great work on getting a fig to fit in the cockpit as well Yeah, that is one of my concerns now - how to get a minifig into the MOC. Often times before in my builds minifigs were never a consideration. Reminds me of a Zoid, good job. Thanks, I grew up with Zoids so they definitely have a big influence on a lot of my MOCs I'm in awe. And a little be terrified. I guess that's the point. Love the attention to detail. That is boss. Si-MOCs Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Wow! If this isn't best advertisement for the WIP thread, I don't know what is. it's REALLY cool to see your first WIP (which was already amazing) and tweaked it into this... I think I'll have to start using it more and get more results like this! Fantastic! I love the engine overview you put in How stable is it? The legs look pretty strong, but it seems so top heavy.... Hey Thanks! You guys were quite helpful over in the WIP thread - thanks a lot!It is top heavy so the poses for the bird are limited. I guess making the feet a bit larger could alleviate that problem a bit but I think it'll always be top heavy due to its basic design. Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Awesome! The Terror Bird almost looks like something the Raven tribe would use in the world of Chima. While the beak and feet resemble that of Eris' Eagle Interceptor, the model's overall appearance make me think of Razar's Chi Raider. -Toa Of Justice Quote
