DraikNova Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Well, the sword is the same one used for Rocka, and the shield-ice-thing is quite definitely the fire piece used by Pyrox in trans-blue. Quote
Shakar Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 It was mentioned by Shakar on pg 37 that its a blue version of the flame piece on Furno and Pyrox. I was able to make it out. We can expect the blue flame on Stormer. Correct I saw a recolour of that piece coming from a mile away, since it looks generic enough it could be any form of energy/element. Plus it looks so pretty.I was excepting it to be featured on Surge though, certainly not on Stormer. Like Pyrox/Furno's flame version, I guess it will be two toned. If he were as brown as he looks from the lighting in your video, I'd almost want that one then. Sadly he's just more unwanted red parts. But that is not regular bright red, that's glorious dark red! I hope the Summer blue villain is a dark blue bird, since Surge is equipped with wings. We're getting Eris and Razar afterall, so I can see their wing design getting reused in HF. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 If that's the case I hope we get a proper bird-like creature, since the Eagles and Ravens in Chima are quite humanoid. Also I just noticed Stormer has a trans blue head, which is great, since Furno looks to have an apple green head. Ugh. I don't understand why Lego couldn't give us a trans orange recolour, it'd fit Furno and Bulk much better. This wave is like Bionicle 2008 all over again, with the sets sharing the same eye colour. If it was me doing it he would have had them on his wrists, kinda like Bulk 3.0, only not sucky. Quote
Shakar Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Surge does appear to wield a weapon on his right hand, but I don't think it's that piece: http://i.imgur.com/70cZ3.png Quote
Kalhiki Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Hm. Surge also has a Scout Drone. Cool to see we're getting the new fire piece in a different color on Stormer. Ice really didn't occur to me as it looked like electricity. Also, I believe the half shield piece on Stormer is some sort of arm mounted blade instead of a shield. Or maybe it's some combination of both. Kalhiki Quote

And since Surge is getting trans yellow shells, hopefully we get a recolour of the flame piece in that colour as well to serve as electricity. Looking forward to seeing what Surge's weapons will be like. Edited December 21, 2012 by Lockon Stratos Quote
Aanchir Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 No back armour! Seriously Lego, what have you been smoking when you deisgned these sets? No, the "attach the slug brain to the back" feature is not an excuse for that. The piece count isn't, either- Pyrox has 50 pieces, which is a very low count. Good thing I ended up with lots of black feet.. Pyrox confirms himself as my favourite 2013 Winter villain, save for that pitiful detail. I imagine the brain slugs are probably quite expensive to produce, given that they are extremely large (service.LEGO.com says 5x16x3) pieces co-injected from non-ABS materials (Didn't Front once mention that rubber parts are more expensive?). I wouldn't be surprised if those are partly to blame for the bare-bones designs of Pyrox and Scarox (although I'd say Pyrox got the better end of the deal out of those two). I don't expect Bruizer to have back armor either, though on the whole he's got a very sturdy-looking design so it shouldn't be as problematic in his case. Same goes for Ogrum, although his design cuts corners elsewhere (no fingers on his left hand). Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I don't expect Bruizer to have back armor either He has a weird construction thingy on his back for his punching-arm function instead of back armour. Quote

I guess Ogrum won't either at this point. Surge can use the winged jetpack as a justification, I guess. Stormer is quite clearly a medium sized set (as I said, I really don't think he's a XL), so he might have something: peraphs the side acle holes of the foot piece are used to attach those two flick missile launchers he has. I guess Nex and Stringer are returning. If so, I think one of them will be small and the other medium sized. It just seems like the ideal way Lego would balance the 5 Summer Heroes out. Oh, and can we finally rename this topic now? We know about 3/4 of the 2013 line up by now. I'll PM Brickthing if everybody is ok with it.. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Why do we need to rename the topic? Anyway, I was hoping the sets would have back armour, after seeing that the Chima sets will have them. Oh well. Quote

Dunno, but it seems to me as if Stormer was going to be size XL just like Furno (with the other heroes being small-sized and the villains being medium-sized sets just like in the winter wave). Quote

The Crazy One Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Enjoy? >Snip< Just saw that. Interestingly, seeing the figures in animated form has made them grow on me. Maybe I was too fast to judge. I like the little glimpse of the Ice-Pyrox dude at 0:36. Cool figure there. Quote
Shakar Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Uuummm, guys, what do you think we've been discussing in the last 2 pages? Quote
MakutaNocturn Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) The music reminds me that And would fit to the theme :D I think It will be the best year for HF. Edited December 21, 2012 by MakutaNocturn Quote
DraikNova Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Anyway, I wonder if LEGO will just do what they've done for almost all of the HF sets this next year and just give him a blade (possibly using Voltix lightning pieces?). In trans-yellow probably, although LEGO might make it trans-blue to save on recolors. Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 I bought Furno XL and Ogrum yesterday, today I got the time to build them (and take plenty of pictures - I'll write at least one of the reviews tomorrow), but I wanted to tell a few things right ahead: Furno's head is in a different colour than Breez' Ogrum didn't got back armour because of the brain slug spine thing. I'll watch the video another time, because I'm tired now... Quote
Jetrax99 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Anyone who spotted Furno's yellow eyes already knew his head was a different color, so no news there, though I look forward to whichever review you do. Quote
Mesonak Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Very nice. Thanks for the confirmation about Furno's head, even though I already guessed as much. Glad to hear that. Anticipating both reviews! Haven't seen either of those sets out of bags yet so it'll be nice. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Woohoo! Furno XL is the review I'm looking forward to the most, since it's his back construction that I can't really figure out. ZORK64, could I request in advance pictures of Furno XL without his cape from the front and back, if possible? Thanks! Quote
Zachattacx Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Got Bruizer today, and somehow I can't seem to stop bashing something. Quote
Lyichir Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Got Bruizer today, and somehow I can't seem to stop bashing something. Hopefully not "bashing" the set's design! He's one of the ones I'm looking forward to! Quote
