I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I haven't been keeping up with the topic, so whatever... I kinda wish that someone else, such as Nex or Stringer, had replaced Rocka in the jet. Instead of another Rocka, y'know? Oh well. :P

I agree, although, when this was last brought up, it was concluded that the reason they chose Rocka was to avoid introducing another character in the tv show.

True, but it's not like Nex hadn't been introduced in previous episodes already, haha.

I think a bigger factor was "fewer new molds/elements". Let's not ignore that this year, every one of the villains has a unique face mold, compared to previous waves where there was always at least one mask shared between villains. But that takes a toll on the new parts budget. Like Speeda Demon in 2012, Jet Rocka has no unique molds whatsoever.

Regardless, even if Nex or Stringer had been a set, he'd likely be replacing Rocka at the $9.99 price point, not in the jetpack. Between his importance in the story and the shelf appeal of his shiny gold armor, I think there are plenty of incentives for the set designers to give Rocka greater prominence in the product line.

Good point. But I suppose they could've done a regular Nex and had Jet Rocka on its own...? Or maybe not. As you said the mold thing might be a problem.

Aquagon is up on TRU.

Also all the summer sets have vanished on TRU.

It's either one or the other, I suppose. Really odd, though, for a set to appear and everything else to disappear.

They all disappeared because Legojang bought all of them:

As for Rocka, don't understand the appeal at all, earl gold is by far the ugliest color of lego in my opinion.

Hopefully, despite being off the website, they're still available in stores. I mean, I got Surge so obviously they have them and available to purchase. Unless they were contacted and told to pull them off the shelves.

I never saw the new Galaxy Squad sets when they were online (they were taken off the website too), so who knows.

I´m getting rather jealous. I´m going to have to wait months for these guys. Oh well, if I handle my budget well, I might even be able to get some duplicates at the end of the year.

I've heard that they're not in Lego stores yet, and as said above, have actually been removed from TRU...? This whole thing confuses me, haha.

Edit: Is there a default post format option in the settings here? :P

Hey if someone has. Brain Attack Stormer, Frost Beast, Chi Laval, Chi Worriz or Chi Gorzan.

Can they take a pic of the new fur/icicle piece attached to a Multi Tooled Ice shield.

I want to use the two pieces as a foot design for my Bruizer revamp.

What I am worried is the fur/icicle piece will cover up the axle and prevent a ball socket piece from being attached.

Here is a preview pic using the Savage Planet fur piece as a replacement. It shows how I want the fur/icicle piece to attach.

I though Frostbite was going to be the original name, because Frost Beast didn't sound very appealing to me.

EDIT:Aquagon has been removed.Seriously this is quite honestly confusing.

No idea where you're getting Cryox from. Sounds cool though. ;D

And yeah, no idea what's going on with it, Zach... hopefully they get them all up for good within the next week or so.

I got it from the fact that early low quality shots of him made him look like a white, ice based version of Pyrox. Pyro=fire, Cryo=ice.

I think we heard his name before we saw the first pictures, actually.

It still reminds me of Hordac from the Masters of the Universe. Sure its very flat and the mouth isn't connected to anything, can't deny that.

For me the whole Brain Attack wave seems more like "You get transparent parts! And YOU get transparent parts! Everyone gets transparent parts!". A whole wave good for recolours.

I would like to see some real villains again next time. Beasts aren't as good as a character like Core Hunter.

That's why I liked Breakout better.

Aquagon's mask is the worst one Lego ever made...

Why so? I personally think it does a good job giving that sea monster/lake monster look the designers were going for. And it manages to strike a good balance between looking machine-tooled and looking organic.

I actually prefer beast-like villains myself, at least from a building perspective. That's actually part of why I don't like the Brain Attack series villains as much as the Breakout series villains as a whole. Breakout had Jawblade, Toxic Reapa, and Thornraxx, none of whom had traditional humanoid builds, whereas all of the Brain Attack villains but Dragon Bolt have more or less run-of-the-mill humanoid builds. I do like some of the individual villain sets like Bruizer (lovely asymmetry and great function), Ogrum (nice, powerful-looking armor and well-organized color scheme), and Dragon Bolt (brilliantly creative build), but overall I just wish there were a little more diversity in their construction.

It is worth noting that Dragon Bolt is the first non-humanoid large figure ($19.99 or higher), which is great, since all the most imaginative villains from Breakout were at the $8.99 price point. But I do think some of the Brain Attack villains could have benefitted greatly from non-humanoid designs, particularly Scarox, whose design I still can't bring myself to like.
