bacem Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 What about Bulk and Bruizer? as i recall, didn't someone already made a pictorial review of both of them here? Quote
Aanchir Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I'll be doing some BZPower reviews for these pretty soon. Once I get through all my vacation photos to edit. Looking forward to it! Your reviews always provide a really good look at the sets, and are really well-written to boot. I'm not entirely sure when I'll get around to purchasing the summer sets. In past years I've gotten them during the Brickfair staggered discounts at LEGO stores, but I don't think they're doing that this year. I also need to find Mirror World. I've been to Barnes & Noble twice looking for it, but evidently they didn't have it at all either time and only thought they did due to a computer error. Quote
ToaJaller78 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 as i recall, didn't someone already made a pictorial review of both of them here? I meant on BZPower. BZP Already missed out on several sets '09-'11. Let's hope they get Bulk and Bruizer soon. Quote
cylex7 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I went ahead and ordered Mirror World and Core Hunter from Barnes and Nobles. It wasn't at my actual store either. :( They should be coming today, though! Can't wait! Quote
dviddy Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 In past years I've gotten them during the Brickfair staggered discounts at LEGO stores, but I don't think they're doing that this year The discount has been discontinued at all LEGO conventions because it was impossible to duplicate in the European market. I meant on BZPower. BZP Already missed out on several sets '09-'11. Let's hope they get Bulk and Bruizer soon. I've got a review for Bulk sitting on my computer that is just missing a few more photos. It never got finished as I had a big computer problem a few months back that took a few months to resolve. Aethersprite Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted this in the Chima thread (which got ignored) but I guess it's relevant to HF as well, so here goes. I just bought Worriz last weekend - and found that the new blade piece (Frost Beast's sword) was slightly bent to the side. Anyway, off I go to my army camp, and I just got home today after 5 days... Only to find that the blade piece has been even further bent, without me doing anything to it. Has anyone encountered this? Is there a way to bend the piece straight? Quote
Chro Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Bent itself further? That's bizarre. I can't say I have any advice because I've not encountered that problem before. Quote
Zachattacx Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I encountered that problem,it seems to bend all by it self,a little creepy. I think it's just the plastic or the way they packaged it,because it is a little annoying problem. Quote
Meiko Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 That's really strange. The only thing I can imagine is climate causing that, but I still can't imagine why it would bend plastic. Quote
Zachattacx Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Well in Texas climate might be a possibility lol.Tooo hot Quote
Aethersprite Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 The plastic bending itself aside - any ideas on how to straighten the piece? Quote
Zachattacx Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Using force to bend it back?Though that may stress the plastic Quote

WARHEAD Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 (edited) The plastic bending itself aside - any ideas on how to straighten the piece? Heat it up first and then try to bend it back into shape? It worked for me with Stormer XL's swords. Edited June 13, 2013 by WARHEAD Quote
Kalhiki Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Hot water may work to heat it up. I've heard about people using that on some toys, but not specifically Lego. Or a hairdryer, but that's just speculation. Kalhiki Quote
ZORK64 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I visited my LEGO store today and asked again when the new Hero Factory sets will be released, and they were able to tell me a release date now (they didn't knew the release when I asked the first time, which was in May). Anyway, according to the catalogue (which I also got there), the new HF sets will hit shelves in Germany in August. It is however possible, that the LEGO store get the sets earlier - most of the new Lord of the Rings sets for example are already on their shelves, while they are stated to be released in July. So odds are somewhat good that I can get my hands on Surge, Stormer and Dragon Bolt in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Oh, since I have the catalogue here, I can already tell you guys their prices in €... Frost Beast, Stormer and Surge are each 12,99€, while Evo and Aquagon are each 9,99€. Dragon Bolt is apparently a bit more beafy than Stormer XL or Furno XL, he costs 24,99€. And Jet Rocka will be yours for 34,99€. While I passed on most sets of the first Brain Attack wave, this wave contains more sets I want than I don't. Stormer, Surge and Dragon Bolt are sure buys, and I'm also thinking about Frosty and Aquagon. Quote
DraikNova Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I might have to pass on most of them; I need to get myself doubles of Surge and Dragon Bolt. I'm already running short on blue for my WIP and I'm only three-quarters done. Factor in that in it's unfinished form it's already over a meter long (four feet+) and you'll see how much of a problem that is. Quote
Dorek Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 So has anybody been to the Hero Building activity in the LEGO stores? I have no idea what those things are usually like. Quote

Check the Club events page; 10th through the 28th they're doing a Hero building activity. I have. Going to get Surge on Friday at the LEGO Store. Sweet, let us know how that is. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 I wanted to go to the grand opening of the Lego store in Edmonton. But when my Dad and I got there. It was packed. There was a line to wait to get into the line to wait to get into the store. I wanted to wait but my Dad didn't want to stand in line for 3 hours. So instead we went to a toys r us but all they had there was one Dragon Bolt and a few Stormers. I picked up Brain Attack Stormer along with CHI Laval, Worriz and Gorzan. I will go back to the Edmonton Lego store in July when the promotion is going on and I will grab Surge, Aquagon Frost Beast and CHI Razar. Quote
