So to derail a bit from the excitement of new set releases... how's about that there Brain Attack game? Been little to nothing on that front for quite a long time.

It's my understanding that the mobile version was updated quite a while ago with all of the levels, microtransactions, and a ton of extra stuff? Regardless, they just recently (oh who am I kidding like two weeks ago) updated the PC version with the Shopping Mall level, and some friends of I did quite the... interesting playthrough of it as a follow-up to our previous review of the original game.

.

They're basically acting as certain "characters," all in the pursuit of comedy. Heed the disclaimer at the beginning, please. Thanks. :P

I don't know if Lego is trolling or what. UK releases, as far as I remember, always followed European schedules..mostly, I would guess. The new sets are available on S@H UK, but not in European countries (save for Germany and Switzerland, as usual).

At this point I doubt they are going to release the sets before August 1st. Shame, I wanted the black brain, I'm sure I'd find a use for it.

I can't say I'm angry, yet I can't deny I'm rather annoyed.

Don't forget Austria. Germany, Austria and Switzerland are regarded as one market by LEGO, I think.

Managed to ask Greg some stuff.

Book series has been cancelled.

The Brain names (Scarox, Pyrox, etc.) are species names.

All that global conspiracy thing that was going on in the books isn't related to the toy storyline, it was just something Greg started for the books only.

Aww, shucks. That's not promising. At least we know we're getting an episode next year (and by Advance and Ghost, it ought to be good). Still, I hope that this doesn't mean that Hero Factory's media presence will be diminishing on a larger scale.

Probably is. That does quite suck, unfortunately. I hope they adapt the story for future purposes; maybe we can see some online serials again?

Also way to screw up the ordering schemes with the brain villains. Just don't make no seeeeeense.

Edit: Also lolwut I have a chima badge what does it all meeeeeean

So do I! Any ideas on what it is?

I managed to get three Brain Polybags from my local LEGO store! The staff was super nice and had a ton, so they gave me extra! :sweet:

I'm leaning towards winning the Chima raffle (yay?!?!?). I counted six, so either it's a set for everybody, or the original winning scheme plus some honorable mentions. Or maybe something entirely different, who knows?

Also, lucky with the polybags. I'm going to try again tomorrow, see if they have their stock in. If not, I'll place a last-minute shop order.

So I tried the game earlier, but sadly no brains to shoot? any ideas what's wrong?

No idea what the Chima badge is about. I don't have one.

Haha, finally got my accessory pack. The Black Brain is pretty darn sweet, I must say. I doubt they'll be running out any time soon, so I may go back for some more in the future.

They still give them out after the deadline?

Technically today is the deadline, but since they screwed up with scheduling, it's basically now a "we'll fork em over until we run out". The in-store advert didn't say anything besides "while supplies last".

That's weird, because Germany is LEGO's biggest and most important market. Germany out-buys all of the other markets by a good chunk. As Kevin and Steve before him have said, if you want something to be successful, it "needs to appeal to German children first and foremost."

I got my black brain today too. I placed an order for Frost Beast a few days later too, and a second black brain set got added to my basket. Hopefully I'll get it but the "one per household only" clause in the small print has me concerned.

I guess it's to make the logistics easier. Since Germany, Austria and Switzerland are the German-speaking market (Switzerland at least partially) I guess it makes it easier for LEGO to handle releases, just as the BeNeLux countries are also regarded as one market by LEGO, at least as far as set releases are concerned.
