Dorek Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Got a few tidbits today from Greg about the upcoming story. Nothing major, but he did mention that he wrote about a "galactic conspiracy" in one of the 2013 books. He also mentioned that there will be at least three books, spanning winter and summer so far. Sounds like a good time. Edited November 28, 2012 by Dorek Quote
DraikNova Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Seems were getting a lot of story tidbits now. Quote
TheRedGuy Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Fiery Minotaur? Someone call LewiMOC! Quote
Shakar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) So Pyrox is a Minotaur? And I watched Putting your Hoof Down for the first time yesterday It might be possible these guys used to be some wild animals before the brain slugs attached them. My theory about them being battle suits would be kind of correct then. It'd be different from Teridax's corrupt Rahi in 2001 and Witch Doctor's Quaza infected beasts in 2011. These brain slugs are actually taking control of their victims in first..ehm "person". Kinda like the Krana and the Kraata, with the difference they're controlling living beings. It's a new concept. Now, give us the Slug Queen as a summer set, Lego Oh, I forgot, I think this deserves mention: IRL (sorta) shots of the purple Zamor from the Galaxy Squad sets! 1 2 It looks like they're solid (like Stringer and Stormer's spheres) rather than transparent like I was hoping but hey, purple dark lilac Zamors. Heh, makes me glad I didn't choose the purple Zamor when I was offered a prototype part by the BZP staff at last year's Brickfair. Seems like those could become quite common before too long. Quote
Shakar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Were those lilac or old purple? Your words imply the former. Looks like they thought about it again afterall. And this is more HF 2013 related- I knew the Mantis used Rocka's sword, but from the box art they looked like regular lime like the rest of its body. But it looks like they're some sort of transparent green. Tr Bright Green? Quote
DraikNova Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) I totally forgot about the prototype Zamor's, but that was the first thing I thought of when I first saw the GP sets. Also, notice those Rocka blades! Anyway, I highly doubt the story from the russian site that Scarox is a mutated cat, for the same reason I doubt I'm a plantlike octopus. Shakar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Since when were you under the impression Scarox was a cat?[/Aizen voice] Interesting news on this webpage http://www.exoforce....ctory?limit=100(Look up on the 2013 sets) Apparently Pyrox is not a devil, but a "fiery Minotaur".(Interesting if you ask me) Bruizer is a "stone giant wild animal with wild eyes".(Basically Rock Monster) Scarox is a giant mutated spider that"Controls Spiders led by himself". Ogrum is a "half animal mutant". and it states that aliens are or/is causing this "Brain Attack". I guess him being without tail makes sense now. I would prefer if he had one however. . I pointed out the Rocka blades too. I'm wondering if they're same tr. green as Rocka's (which is still unclear) or another shade.. If Rocka uses tr. neon green I'd like them to be tr. bright green so I can obtain one and give it to Rocka. Edited November 28, 2012 by Shakar Quote
DraikNova Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 When I used Google Chrome's translate function on Scarox's product page on that russian site, it said "In sand dunes aliens captured cat and turned it into a poisonous spider with red eyes!" Quote
Shakar Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Prepare the team for the LEGO Hero Factory's Emergency! In sand dunes aliens captured cat and turned it into a poisonous spider with red eyes! Stay away from smashing his death blades and spider legs with spikes! Even the armor can not protect you from piercing his poisonous fangs. Send this insect infested with extraterrestrial intelligence, back where it came from - back in the sand dunes. Wow, it really says that. Well this is weird EDIT: Despite the fact I know zero Russian, I tried to dissect the sentence "aliens captured cat", finding and removing the words for "aliens" and "captured". This is what was left: http://translate.goo...еничный трактор Edited November 28, 2012 by Shakar Quote
Mesonak Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) When I translated the page it also made reference to Ogrum having several plant-like qualities, such as "stems" and "clawed roots", referring to his green spikes and feet respectively, which I found quite interesting. Made me look at the set a bit differently. :P Edited November 28, 2012 by Mesonak Quote
DraikNova Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 If Ogrum is part plant, I'm going to stick trans-pink on him and call him a strangler fig. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 (edited) Fiery Minotaur? Someone call LewiMOC! This is Pyrox. And this is a Minotaur. Not convinced LEGO. Not one bit. Edited November 28, 2012 by LewiMOC Quote
Kalhiki Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 The only connections between Pyrox and a Minotaur I see are 1) horns, 2) nose ring (bulls sometimes have nose rings), and 3) the feet which could be considered as hoofs (hooves? Whatever). Still, I'm seeing more of the Devil when I look at him. Cool that more information is coming out. Hopefully the sets will be released soon! Kalhiki Quote
Zachattacx Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I prefer Pyrox as The Devil/Demon,I mean(sorry to get religious here)The Devil has horns, red skin, hooves, claws, and the ability to control fire(well you know what I mean.) First thing I will do to Pyrox to revamp him,I will give him chicken/demon legs, and a pitchfork weapon using his fire pieces. Quote

DarkSurgeXL Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Don't know if that was mentioned before, but seems like we've got some sort of screenshot of (I don't know if it's a commercial, or a screenshot from the series. It's a picture of an animated HF brain slug from the new HF wave. This picture is edited, but I could not find the proper image. Quote
Cirkit Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Brain slug.. Looks like a little of both. Interesting. Quote
Shakar Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Amazon.fr has zoomable pictures for all sets+price counts! http://www.amazon.fr...&qid=1354210106 Rocka: 43 Scarox: 46 Furno XL: 103 Breez: 49 Ogrum: 59 Bruizer: 62 Pyrox: 50 Bulk: 50. Just noticed the images can be saved. Too bad they're same poses we had before, but bigger pics is definitely great. Edited November 29, 2012 by Shakar Quote
Gatanui Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 The small sets' piece counts are impressive. -Gata Quote
Shakar Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Yeah, they're pretty high. On Breez's and Bulk's cases, however, it's partly due to the small pieces on their weapons (the bladed staff and the drill). Likewise, Scarox "Technic-fest Mutant Crab" uses a handful of small pieces. Rocka has a standard Hero build and his weapons are quite simpler than the other 2, and he's got the lowest piece count out of the 4 9 Euro sets. Ogrum and Pyrox are about on the same complexity level, but Ogrum's count is increased by small pieces such as the droid arms, the Piraka minifig spines and the pieces on his mace. Unsurprisingly, Bruizer has the highest piece count of the 3, as he's got spikes all over his body and a not so standard torso build. Lastly, Furno has 14 more pieces than Stormer, due to slightly more complex weapons and add-ons like the cape and the visor. Some stuff I noticed: -Furno's lower arms bones, like I thought, are Stormer 2.0 lower leg bones recoloured in dark bley- Yay new bone colour! -Pyrox's torso armour indeed is a titanium metallic scout drone (Stormer XL) -Breez's head is tr. bright green -Not that it wasn't obvious, but all 3 small Heroes use short arms, like Breakout small Heroes. I'll add more if I find them..still unsure about Rocka's green and Furno's visor colour. Edited November 29, 2012 by Shakar Quote
Mesonak Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) Saved them all to my gallery for ease of viewing. These sets are really growing on me. Well, the villains anyway. I still dislike the heroes; the closer I look at Furno XL's design, the worse I feel. Very few redeeming qualities there. :P Edited November 29, 2012 by Mesonak Quote
Jetrax99 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Sorry Shakar, tis not a scout drone on Pyrox's chest, but the chest add-on piece that came w/ BP, Core Hunter, and several of the Ultrabuild Superheroes sets. Quote
Shakar Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Aww, I haven't thought of that. Now I compare them it looks like you're right. It's even more likely when you think Ogrum uses the same piece in the same colour (t. metallic). Quote
