Aanchir Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Well, to be fair we had just some minifigs reviews for Chima. Galaxy Squad is the only 2013 theme out in stores (and only in a limited area of the world too). And I guess The Hobbit, too- I'm not up to date with LOTR. I wouldn't be surprised if reviews pop up before this week ends. Not true. City, Creator, and Technic have all been spotted in stores, as well as Star Wars and possibly other themes. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 It's probably due to the fact that HF isn't as popular as other themes, sadly. People aren't posting sightings because no one bothers! Hopefully we'll see them within the next week or so. Quote
Pro_Ice Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 (edited) Got some potentially new information concerning possible storyline. First, Bulk is mentioned alongside Furno as a "main hero". As far as I remember, there were also 2 "main villains", Bruizer and someone else. Maybe it will be an arrangement alike Breakout, where Breez was rarely mentioned and received no promotion whatsoever. Also, there was a preliminary poster showing a numerous containers (these, but on a more grandeur scale) with brain slugs hanging from the ceiling. Something alike Bohrok promos from 2002. Maybe that has something to do with "great conspiracy" Greg was talking about. Don't have much more to share, sadly. Except that slugs attaching to the heroes' head is something of a major play element this time, but you already know that. :) Edited December 13, 2012 by Pro_Ice Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 Breez is left out again? Sad. Mind if I ask where did this info come from? Quote
DraikNova Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 I think this is a garbled version of information we already have. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 Just found a page in for the new Brain Attack game!!! Apparently it will be available as an app. It allows you to make a custome Hero and pick between Furno, Bulk, Breez and Rocka to fight alongside as your partner. You also get to explore Mauhero City, shopping mall included. Here's a link to the page along with a trailer: http://videogames.lego.com/en-us/hero-factory-brain-attack/about/video/ Quote
Shakar Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 (edited) S@H pics. No new poses, just the old ones+bags, Hi res is always cool though. I'll edit the post as soon as I get the links. Aanchir Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Ok not exactly a fan of these but never the less here the best images I could find of this series! All pics link to HR versions 2500+ .pxl Enjoy! Kind of one-upped by Shakar's post above, but thanks regardless for going out of your usual element to provide these pics for us. And Shakar, thanks for posting those pics before I had time to get to them. Looking at Furno XL, it's interesting to see how much Technic his torso build is using. His torso beam's shoulder joints are used for his armor, whereas his actual shoulder joints are Glatorian neck elements. Makes me curious what other Technic stuff is hiding under his cape-- probably nothing as glorious as back armor, but still perhaps something interesting. Starting to get a better grasp on how Bruizer's arm function works-- the right arm beam/liftarm is definitely connected via axle somewhere behind his back, where I imagine there must be a lever or something. I remain deeply baffled by the amount of Technic in this upcoming wave. I wonder if perhaps this will be a way of differentiating the Chima constraction line, which doesn't seem to use much Technic from what we've seen. So perhaps that line will become more action-figure-ish, while Hero Factory returns to the sort of constraction/Technic blend that BIONICLE was known for (albeit with the constraction elements based on the new building system). Here's a link to the page along with a trailer: http://videogames.le...ck/about/video/ I swear, that image of Furno makes him look more like a villain than a Hero than the first set image did. The cape, the jagged blades on the sword and the HF shield, that helmet.. mostly the cape though. I really like what Technicy stuff is going on on Furno. I have hope that the translucent orange cladding on his sides isn't just hanging there on bone parts off his torso. Rocka's translucent blade looks awesome, and from the angle we see him standing, the set looks relatively awesome. Bulk's neck is a little too exposed for my liking, but that helmet still looks good. Also, that brain crawling in the shadows doesn't remind me of any spiders from any previous years at all Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Seems like the sets are released! From FBTB: Quote
Zachattacx Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Do you know where these were sighted? Quote
Gatanui Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Damn if that game doesn't look awesome. It looks better than Breakout to me. I'll try to check my local LEGO Store before Christmas and post reviews of the sets I get, which will be Rocka and most likely Scarox. -Gata Edited December 15, 2012 by Gatanui Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Do you know where these were sighted? TRU, according to FBTB. Damn if that game doesn't look awesome. Can't wait to get the game in the app store. Also, Furno really looks badguy-ish in the picture on the website... Beginning to get an idea of how Furno's Technic assembly is contructed. I already have some ideas on how to fill out his crotch area. Edited December 15, 2012 by Lockon Stratos Quote
DOTM Shockwave Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 They've been sighted at retail, Yay ! It's only a matter of time before the reviews start showing up. I can't wait to see how the new head piece looks like. Quote
DarkSurgeXL Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Oh, well, this is great to hear such news! I really want to see the new head, after all, if it's going to be equal to what we imagined it would be, this will be a huge revolution in Action Figures. Quote
DraikNova Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Okay, I swear I´m getting Furno the second I see him. And the game (and the swarms) look amazing. We´d better be getting one great awesome episode to go with this. Edited December 15, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Did they just show/hint a Surge XL in that game video, or is it me overthinking things? EITHER WAY game looks sweet, and I really like how that music sounds. Also I can see some kind of Plasma Shooter from last year's Breakout line with a bayonet, that is so awesome. Quote
Shakar Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) I did see a blue Hero there, but XL? He/she looked a bit too like a generic repaint- all player characters seem to be built upon that (Breez-inspired?) frame. I too spotted a Plasma Gun- I actually hope it returns in Summer. They finally made the perfect shooter (multipiece, customizable, available in multiple colours and actually looks like a gun!), just to use it for one year? And that sure looks like the Gangnam dance From this and Breakout we can gather Heroes love their victory dances.. I'm waiting for the yearly low quality video reviews now. EDIT: I watched the video again, the blue Hero looks kinda unique. The blue+tr neon green is exactly what I'd except from Surge.. The helmet of the playable character looks nohing like that of the other Heroes. It looks a lot like Black Phantom's actually. BTW, you're welcome Aanchir. Go home Rocka, you're drunk. DraikNova Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I think it's certain, seeing as there's a bley/gunmetal Rocka repaint in the video. Quote
