MakutaDreadscythe Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Actually no.....Scarox? But thanks! Not surprised he forgot. Scarox looks really bland...and skinny. Kinda like XT4, only it sucks and looks tacky. Anyways, regarding Rocka...well I like his weapons and the fact it's the same green almost as his head. Cool shield too. Quote
Shakar Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 First of all: Awesome gif. If the transparent shell I just picked to compare it to Furno's head one of Toxic Reapa's, then his head is trans neon green. For some weird reasin, it looks more yellowish than the shell though. Thanks for the compliment and the info! I dunno, if the difference is slight enough you immediately think of Reapa's shells, it might just be something about the head plastic. The head color still looks ambiguous to me, and more like Transparent Fluorescent Green than Transparent Yellow. And I agree with this, it's got a greenish tint regular tr. yellow lacks.Furno looks good, but I'm waiting for high quality pictures of him and the other sets (except Breez of course). And Jang's reviews. Oh, I learned Rocka is obviously the sexiest of the 3 small Heroes. If he was following the instructions, how did he get the sword wrong? Moreover, how could he think that was the right way to attach the silver Rocka blade? Perpendicular to the rest of the sword, really? Quote
Jetrax99 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) Obviously he doesn't know the difference between "future" and "feature". Also, expert on Hero Factory he says? I probably know more about HF than he does. Edited December 22, 2012 by Jetrax99 Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 My review for Furno XL is online. Read and enjoy it. Quote
CabooseBM Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) I remember that, and yep ancient history, but then we get all this good guy turned bad in Hero Factory....Von Nebula,Witch Doctor, and Core Hunter(if that rumor was true). The book the Doom Box confirms that rumour as true. Also the fire villains used to be miners, and were corrupted by power. Edited December 22, 2012 by CabooseBM Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 But we still hadn't a character who actually pulls a heel face turn in the story yet. I wouldn't expect one though, because none of the characters really looks like a good candidate for it (though I admit my knowledge of the HF story is limited). Quote
Bfahome Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 But we still hadn't a character who actually pulls a heel face turn in the story yet. A "Heel Face Turn" is actually when a villain becomes good. The reverse is the "Face Heel Turn", when a previously good character becomes evil. Anyway, I doubt we'll see any loyalty changes like that. The most I'd bet on would be Von Nebula being the one behind it. It'd be cool to have him redesigned and re-released. Quote

And I also have a theory that Nebbie, Thresh, Doc and Corey Hun-I mean, Core Hunter, are part of that "galactic conspiracy" Greg was talking about. Quote

Am I missing something here? Is there something I haven't read? Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Furno XL video review (but not a very detailed one): Thank God for ZORK94's review. That kid sounds over-excited, and is panting like he ran home all the way from the toy store after getting the set. Couldn't continue watching after the first few sentences. Quote
Jouster Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Why's Thresher such a candidate? Am I missing something here? Is there something I haven't read? Yeah, "The Doom Box" and "Legion of Darkness" Edited December 23, 2012 by Jouster Quote
Zachattacx Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Not sure if this as been mentioned, but we know know Scarox has a function that let his two arms on the top to come forward and attack. Quote
DraikNova Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I think that was mentioned (in less detail) a while back. Thanks for the confirmation Zachattacx! Quote

Aanchir Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Professor Honeybee...Please. And I also have a theory that Nebbie, Thresh, Doc and Corey Hun-I mean, Core Hunter, are part of that "galactic conspiracy" Greg was talking about. Not all of those candidates could really end up being a part of it... for one, Core Hunter died at the end of The Doom Box, and has never been established as working in a team (except briefly with Arctur, who is also now dead). To be honest, I don't see what retroactively making him a part of some galactic conspiracy would accomplish other than making the story more convoluted, when there are probably several more feasible candidates for that kind of role. I think speculating about the future Hero Factory chapter books is probably a wasted effort. Since they're not tied strictly to the main story for each year/wave, this means that they can be incredibly unpredictable, especially when we don't have blurbs for them yet. Even with the blurbs for The Doom Box and Legion of Darkness, I doubt I would have ever imagined some of those books' more surprising plot developments. Quote
TheRedGuy Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Although that is quite a good prediction and would make an interesting plot twist (IMO), I doubt Lego would do that since it would probably upset the people who like Stringer, particually that of younger children (who is the target audience of Hero Factory). I guess it's not impossible though. I don't think we've had anyone like this, but have we ever had someone in Bionicle who was introduced as a "good guy" who then turned "bad"? Toa Tuyet, I think? Quote
Nike2032 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) Toa Tuyet, I think? Yup, that is true. However, it can be argued that she wasn't an actual set and so Bionicle's younger audience at the time probably didn't know about her - hence a good change in story for older fans, while preventing any younger fans from getting upset / feeling alienated to the series. Gatanui Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) We've got Rocka and Scarox today. We're waiting till the 25th to build them but you can expect detailed photo reviews before the year ends! -Gata Edited December 23, 2012 by Gatanui Quote
ZORK64 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I'm looking forward to them Gatanui. Partly because you got a better camera if I remember correct, partly because I'm curios about Scarox' back. Quote
Jetrax99 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 Just got some screenshots w/ new angles from the video. Notice how Furno has no right hand.) Pyrox's face pre-attack: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Thunderax/HS/pyrox_no_slug_face.png Stormer's helmet w/o missiles in back: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Thunderax/HS/stormer_helmet.png Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I still think Pyrox was really adorable before he got alienized. I mean seriously take a look at him, he looks like a dog. Quote
DraikNova Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Pyrox looked somewhere in between a puppy and a kitten. Seriously, I´m tempted to use that picture as a screensaver. Quote
Cirkit Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 A cute puppy with horns. I wanna give that Pyrox lots of hugs. Then put some ointment on my burns from Pyrox's glowing hot body. And then run like hell away when the Brain Slug attacks it. Did you notice, on Bruizer and Orgum, where the brain would have been in the set, there was a piece of 3M cladding instead? That was a nice touch there I think. Also, TV Bulk actually looks pretty awesome. I'm not as bothered by the orange, though the trans orange does look kind of red now, doesn't it? And then there's his hand.. It keeps to the set being partially orange, but there's grey in there too like he's always had before, and I really like that. Quote
